  1. Have either of you tried prolonged use of AZO Yeast tablets? They are sort of a preventative for that issue. You can take up to 3 daily to get rid of symptoms... and 1-2 to maintain being symptom free. About 4 years ago I had the same issue you all are describing, tried everything OTC and prescription. I'm just super sensitive and was spending a lot of time...
  2. Thanks for all the insider tips! That old link was helpful too, Margaritaville and Uno's weren't on my possible list yet. Appreciate the responses!
  3. I think it sounds like you are being very vigilant about your food. I'm surprised your dr had you repeat an EGD already! My doctor retested my TTG IGA levels 5 weeks after going gluten-free, but only b/c I just had to get some other bloodwork done and she said might as well to see if it's dropping at all. HOWEVER she made it very clear that she would not...
  4. WHERE did you find it???
  5. Kix and Trix????! Really!? I knew about and also eat Fruity Pebbles, but I had never heard that about Kix and Trix, that's great!
  6. Ohh! I thought you were saying rice is inherently contaminated like people say oats are because of the way it grows in fields beside each other and can become contaminated from wind, prior planting, etc.
  7. I have been eating by eating gluten free labeled products, eating things I know don't have gluten (fruit, veggies, good meat), and also label reading. I have also been eating lots of white rice and also the UDI's Gluten Free Regular Granola. It seems to be okay and not have too much contamination because my TTG IGA levels dropped drastically in just 5 weeks...
  8. Peter, Does that mean you don't eat RICE?
  9. Okay I'm very jealous of you guys!! I can't find it around here (Lexington, Kentucky)... I've checked Meijer, Walmart, and Whole Foods. Is there anyone on here near Lexington, KY? Have you been able to find it? I want to try it so bad!
  10. Mine came not frozen w icing packets . I put mine in the freezer bc I didn't eat them very fast. They do fine in microwave, defrost. I kept the icing in the fridge.
  11. I haven't seen it out anywhere yet! I can't wait to try it! I hope it arrives to this area soon.
  12. I agree with everybody else, too soon to worry yet! What blood test are you talking about? tTG? My tTG level was 168 at first... 5 gluten free weeks later my doctor retested it only because I had to get some other bloodwork done anyway and it had dropped to 65. She did however make a point to say it's not normal to retest that quickly and that she wants to...
  13. Everytime?? There should just be OnE time ! You would feel much better if you Hung in there, stayed gluten-free & got over the hump. Quit going back to gluten or you'll never feel the good effects of it. I felt kinda crappy about 2 weeks after gluten-free, but it DOES go away. Afterall, completely changing your diet is a big change ! Hang in there &...
  14. It's gluten free. I had the same sudden problem when I went to pick mine up 2 weeks ago and it was suddenly a generic. I checked with the clinical pharmacist on glutenfreedrugs.com and he confirmed it is gluten-free. Also, my pharmacist contacted the manufacturing company and they themselves also confirmed its gluten-free status. I felt comfortable with it...
  15. The brownies taste like regular ones. If I didn't know they were gluten-free, I wouldn't have known the difference! Cookies are good too
  16. The word WHEAT is a big no-no!
  17. Thanks for the info! I have never heard of Prossers. I'll have to check into that. Thanks
  18. Glad to hear you are doing better. I am as well! I think his name is Steve, but he has always been very quick in responding, extremely helpful, and extremely nice. He helped me when my pharmacy wasn't even telling me the correct information. I'm grateful to have him as a resource. He actually knows what he is talking about.
  19. Check glutenfreedrugs.com . They have been extremely helpful for me! If you use a drug that isn't already on the list, you can email the clinical pharmacist that updates and runs the site and he always knows! He's magic and super nice. His email is listed on the site.
  20. I will be vacationing at the end of July in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for 8 days. My extended family has been doing this for almost 15 years now. This will be the first year that I will have to think about eating gluten free. My family loves, loves, lovessss eating out. Well I used to as well (I went from eating out several times a week to now I've eaten...
  21. I wanted to add to that... Mag Oxide and Miralax work more for motility issues, like you think you have!
  22. I have had the same problem with C since 2004, that is what started all my doctor visits and finally led to a Celiac dx just this year! I have been through the ringer with C remedies. Laxatives and stool softeners do nothing at all. What has worked the best for me over the years is a combination of Magnesium Oxide Tablets (vary between 1-3 a day) and a dose...
  23. As far as Celiac stunting your growth/height, I would imagine that all that would have to do with when your body actually started reacting to gluten and how long it took you to stop eating gluten/figure out the problem. If the problem didn't kick in until adulthood, then I would think those individuals' heights would not be affected like a child or infants...
  24. 5'9" Always been tall
  25. I have a typo in my previous post, not <19 normal, it's 19 and <
