  4. due to halloween, i've eaten both the kisses and a hersheys mini milk choc bar and nothing happened to me. i was fine. to the best of my knowledge they are both supposed to be gluten-free.
  5. Try a combination of the Miralax and Magnesium Oxide pills. You can get those at any pharmacy, even WalMart, it is usually held behind the counter but is not a prescription.
  6. I eat the Fruity Pebbles a few times a week and I've never had a problem. As far as I know the laws don't regulate "made in facility". There are some companies that willing put that on there, but they aren't required to. That's my understanding. That said, if it's a designated gluten-free line within that same facility , I think it's unlikely to give someone...
  7. I've had a Keurig machine since last winter and I love it! I know for sure that VanHoutte French Vanilla is gluten-free, that's my favorite and I have it everyday. I emailed the company to ask. If you are unsure you can always email/call the companies that make the coffees. I have done that a few times and they've always sent a reply (and 99% have said they...
  8. Thanks for this website!!! Wow it has some yummy sounding recipes! Especially for holiday ideas!
  9. Here's another thought... They could possibly have gluten-free options there at the restaurant. It seems to be an oxymoron but I have found (at least in my city) that the Italian restaurants actually have gluten-free menus and are very knowledgeable about it. There is Olive Garden, Belle Notte, Carinos, and Carrabas. They ALL have gluten-free menus even though...
  10. i agree with kareng. i like it. it does taste like a "light beer".
  11. Most restaurants would not allow outside food in their kitchen. Violation of health rules, blah, blah.
  12. It has only been a few months. Even if you are doing every single thing right, it's not definite that your antibodies would be undetectable by now. That big drop is a good sign. I went from 168 to 23 in 4 months and my GI doc was thrilled. I think you're on the right track, don't let the doc discourage you, just keep up the good work.
  13. Along the same lines as this... Are there any other mainstream cereals out there that Celiacs can safely eat? I know about the Chex cereals and I also eat Fruity Pebbles almost daily I have heard there are possibly other types that are okay? It would be great to be able to expand the cereal choices. Thanks!
  14. i use zantac. it works really quickly for me.
  15. What is movicol?
  16. I'm sure there are many, but I recently went to cheeseburger n paradise , good experience! Also there is a huge store just north of cincy called jungle jims. They have a website
  17. Fruity Pebbles are gluten-free too if you have a sweet, junky cereal craving. I eat those with no problems.
  18. Have you had your b12 level checked? That can cause numbness, tingling if it's pretty low
  19. I asked at my costco for a listing of items & they said they didn't have anything like that
  20. 5 is actually my favorite brand. They do have SOY in them, if soy is a problem for you. Just a thought.

ARCHIVED I Got A New Doctor Today.

He apparently doesn't know much about it. Constipation was my main issue & ky bloodwork & biopsy were positive
  22. I use 5 brand , all flavors w no problems. I've seen them all on a gluten-free candy list.
  23. I was diagnosed in April. After the biopsy my doc communicated with me a lot via phone or email. I haven't actually been back to see her (going to tomorrow). She sent me for some vitamin/mineral tests right after the biopsy, to see a dietitian, and for a bone scan. I just got some more vitamin/TTG tests run last week in anticipation of the appointment tomorrow...
  24. I have the same problem. I usually take 2-3 a day plus Miralax. Still, I continue to have problems. I don't think there is need to worry about OD of Magnesium Oxide. I used to take one a day b/c it says one a day on the bottle, but my GI doc told me that she has people take way more than that up to 6-7 a day or so. She made it seem like it wouldn't hurt....
