  1. If this is only your 2nd day gluten-free, it's probably too soon to be feeling much better physically, and emotionally you are going through a big change which is always stressful, perhaps mourning all the foods you can't eat. I think the way you are feeling is pretty natural, and will probably get better with time. Do you have a good support system of caring...
  2. Thanks to everybody who replied. I don't seem to have cravings for specific foods, just actual hunger pangs when it seems to me I shouldn't. Like "feed me something, ANYTHING, NOW!!!" Hoping that it does just stop and doesn't mean food allergies, the thought of giving up more foods right now just seems so overwhelming and unfair! For now I'm just eating...

  4. I am absolutely STARVING all the time. I began noticing this before going gluten-free, but it is much more pronounced now, 2 weeks in. I eat a meal or snack and within 2-3 hours I am so hungry it hurts and cranky and shaky. I eat a pretty fair balance of carbs, fats, protein and fiber, and I'm afraid of gaining huge amounts of weight. Anyone else have this...

I like the Udi's bread OK; haven't tried Trader Joe's, so I can't compare, but none of them are...
  7. Pamela's mini chocolate chip cookies are really good when you want something sweet, though it's true that protein is better and lasts longer.
  8. I have exactly the same thing, I believe it is mucus from the intestines being damaged and irritated, although I don't know that for sure. I have been gluten-free for a week, and am hoping this will GO AWAY! Anyone?
  9. I have had vulvodynia on and off for 27 years. What helps me as prevention is doing 10 -15 minutes of Kegel exercises every day, and taking calcium citrate 1200 mg. Flareups have thankfully become rare, but I do follow the low oxalate diet during a flare and take antihistamines - for me, Zyrtec lessens the pain and duration of a flare. Also increase time...
  10. I only started 3 days ago, and my stomach feels a bit better. Thanks for sharing - that makes me hopeful!
