ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!
Joni63 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Susan, Donna is right. The colors do often look different in the jar than on. Also, somtimes they can be mixed with lighter/darker shades to get a color you like. I have a blast mixing and changing colors, lol! Paula, Yay for you! How can you be so patient? Start ripping those packages open right now, lol. -

Hey everybody, Welcome Dolly! Glad you came to join us. Hopefully I can be more dedicated now and stick around and post my progress more. I'm anxous to go back and catch up on the thread. I did read back one page. Jestgar, DDR is fun!!! It's especially great for those days when I can't get out and jog due to bad/cold weather. Plus, once in a while I... -

I was wondering if there were color variations among the colors too. It seems like there would be, but I would hope not too much. My Corner office looks orange. It is a very dark color, but when mixed with something lighter, it works fine. I have looked at that Color Guide. Since it's a real picture I hoped it would be close to what it looks... -

Hey celiac mommy, I have made this recipe a few times and it always comes out great. I posted it a while ago and some people tried it without the 1/2 cup water (just used sauce) and they said it came out great that way too. Heres my recipe: 1/2 pound ground beef or turkey 1 Large onion diced 1 clove of garlic 2 jars of spaghetti sauce (13oz)... -

Ooooh, that would be the best! Especially since their color chart card is not very accurate all the time and I bought Sunday Brunch and Corner Office and they are both very orangey and dark. I can see where Sunday Brunch looks that way in the website picture but on the card it looks like a deep pink. Corner Office looks more pinky-peach in both and is extremely... -

I'm still trying to figure out what foundation formulation is best for me. So far the semi-matte and the original glow seem to work the best. The intensive gives too much coverage and is too cakey for me and I haven't tried the matte in a while because the color is too dark so I forget what that was like. I'm surprised about the lip color. I've worn... -

Yay! It's really nice makeup. My eyes are hazel and they seem to get darker, almost like a smokey greay when I'm angry or tired. I went to a website that recommended colors for hazel eyes and medium skin, I'll look for it and post it later today. From what I remember it was pinks, peaches, and lavenders. but I know therer are more choices. ... -
Oh, I honestly never realized that. I figured if I was depressed I would feel sad or bad all the time. How does someone know they are depressed? I know I have anxiety and have had for years, but it is undiagnosed and I never mentioned it to the doctors. I'm glad you brought it up, thank you.

Glad you like Best Friends. I had it on my order, but took it off and put on a finishing powder. I already had 4 blushes, it was hard to decide. I'll have to keep notes on that one for a future order, lol! I love the brushes that I got from EM. They really make a difference in how the makeup goes on and looks. I noticed that the makeup looks a... -

LOL, Julie! So, how do you like it? -
I took the .5mg again last night. I can tell it did help some, but I still woke up 3 times. It helped because I didn't seem to be as fully awake or stay awake as long each time so that is good news. I think your right Donna, maybe I need the 1 mg. I will try again tonight.

Yes, I've heard depression can cause sleep problems. I don't think I am depressed, I'm usually a very optimistic, happy person. I tried melatonin last night, at a .5 mg dose. I woke up like usual and took .5mg more. Seems as though it did not work for me. I'm not sure what to do now, any suggestions?

Your order looks great! Let us know how those cosmetic wipes and mixing bowls work out. I'm curious about both of those items. The mixing bowls are really adorable. Yes, Mango needs to be voted as EM's most valuble customer of the year! Wonder how much money Mango has generated for them through this thread, not to mention all the people we are... -
Did you stop taking the iron supplement? I think if I were in your situation I would definately go back on the iron. It might not have been working as quickly as you wanted, but it did seem to be working for you. And since your iron stores were so low to begin with it probably will take a long time for it to build back up in your system.

Yay! The special is here! I'm glad no one emptied their carts. The new blush sounds like a lovely color. Would you ladies believe I'm still undecided on a few blush colors in the custom mini kit? The choices are really hard! I will place my order today though. Donna, I think you will like Sunlight Concealer. I have terrible dark circles... -

Thanks for the info Colleen. At least we know there is a new special waiting int he wings. And on a good note - maybe by the time they get the new special up their new brushes will be in or will be part of the special! Wishful thinking, lol! -
I wonder if the salt cravings are because so much gluten free food has sea salt, which is noniodized. I recently found out there is iodized sea salt and I might try to get that. I'm definately using more salt than I used to, but I also switched to plain sea salt.

Wow, I really hope the neurotransmitter supplements will work for you. Sleep deprivation is a rough problem to have, especially when it goes on for years. I think I'll try a small piece of the tablet and see how it goes tonight. I have a meeting that will last until 9 tonight so I know I'll be hyped when I get home from that.

Your right! Great idea you had Julie! We have enough stress trying to figure out what 10 eye shadow colors to get, lol! -
I read that Celiacs should take an iron supplement. I'm not sure, but I don't eat red meat much either. I think the Celiac diet does make it tougher for you to get the proper amount of iron. Maybe someone with more knowledge can add to this information, but there are certain vitamin supplements I think are standard to take. Anyone know?

12 mg is a high dose, right? My bottle says don't take more than 3mg/day (24hours) , lol. Does it leave you groggy during the day? I've read that it's good to start out at .5mg and see if that works first. Have you heard anything like that?

It's not crazy, we've been waiting a long time for this special to change! Your just proving your cult worthiness, lol! I do hope we get some answers. Thanks for emailing them, hopefully we will get great news! -
I think so too. I'm going to call now and see if the bottle I have is gluten free. I've even heard of the time release melatonin. That really sounds like it would do the trick for me. I can't keep going without sleep and my whole day wasted from being tired because I'm awake at night. One of my friends has anxiety and she said she also wakes up at night...
