ARCHIVED Arm And Leg Pain
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Eating cheap hot dogs and sandwiches is cheaper than buying meat and veggies and fruit. I am working but am not making enough money to buy groceries to cook every day. I tried it and I ran out of money very fast and eneded up not having anything to eat except the pasta that I bought for the kids. My oldest daughter is 26 and she is not going to go on the... -

I may try to see if my doc will give me the tetracycline. I have heard of that before. -
ARCHIVED Arm And Leg Pain
sherrylynn posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have been having this pain in my arms and legs and twice in my head. The pain is a sharp stabbing pain and I started having it when my first child was about 9 months old. The pain will stab my muscle and it might stab a few times and then I won't have it again for weeks or months, sometimes I have what I call a storm of pain and it will hurt both legs and... -
ARCHIVED Fatigue..really?
sherrylynn replied to staci002's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Now I have to wonder. They say you get Chronic Fatique Syndrom from a major illness or surgery. Maybe what people who have that actually have Celiac. Starting to think people on this forum are smarter than the "Doctors" that we keep going to. -
ARCHIVED Rosacea
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
My rosacea stays red at all times but will get even redder and worse when I get upset. and when I work out my whole head gets red. I end up looking like a tomato. -
Has anyone had rosacea and found that it got better on the gluten free diet? My rosacea is so bad that you can see blood vessels in my face and It makes me look so red. By the way, I don't drink alcohol, some people think that you get a red face from alcohol. I hope someone can tell me if their rosacea got better after being on the diet. Thank you

ARCHIVED Tired Of Having Accidents
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I'm not really waiting for a diagnosis. I just can not afford to buy meat and veggies for lunch and dinner every day as well as eggs and what not for breadfast. After I get my disability from the VA I will be able to afford to eat right and then it will be no more gluten, ever. (By the way, I didn't mess up the car I have learned to wear pull ups... -
ARCHIVED Tired Of Having Accidents
sherrylynn posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I was contipated all day and thought I would not be able to go without laxitives. Then on the way home from work it hit me and I ended up having another accident in my pants. I am tired of that happening. I did not tack any laxitives but did eat a sandwitch from subway. has anyone else had this happen. I am waiting until I get my disability from the VA then... -
ARCHIVED Made In A Facility That Also Processes Wheat
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
That is very true. Maybe it is safe. At least maybe I can eat it until I get paid next friday. Thank you for that perspective. -
My ex used to make Honduran enchiladas with corn tortillas. But he didn't roll them. You leave the tortilla flat and fry some hamburger meat put in some sauce made with tomatoes sauce red chilies and onions then put the meat on top of the tortilla and put cabbage on top of that and some more sauce then cover it with this Mexican cheese that looks like parmesan...

ARCHIVED Made In A Facility That Also Processes Wheat
sherrylynn posted a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I have run out of money and have a bunch of stuff my dad sent me. On the ingrediants it doesn't list any thing with gluten. But it does say made in a facility that also processes wheat. Do you think it is too risky? -
I would have to have a foot long subway club on parmesan bread with chipotle sauce, or taco bells burrito supreme. maybe even both. can you say bottomless pit?

ARCHIVED Feeling Like A Fraud
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Thank you sandsurfgirl, I have had the blood test and it was neg. The doc I am seeing won't do the biopsy but told me to go on the gluten free diet at once. He said he agreed with my other doc that I have IBS but that he also thinks I have celiac and said it probably was just a false neg and said that if I only have IBS that about 40% of people with IBS... -

ARCHIVED Feeling Like A Fraud
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Thank you, I am feeling a little better. I was just upset because I tend to talk tooo much and the doc I was talking to is one I look up too. But I have learned to just keep my mouth shut and not tell everyone about my diet. no one else's business but my own right? any way thanks for letting me vent. Sherry -
ARCHIVED Feeling Like A Fraud
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
your right. I have been on the gluten free diet for 18 days now, and I have noticed some response to my tummy and bowels, but not my legs yet. and the leg cramps are not so bad but not 100% yet. I just hate it that when the docs at work see me all they see is fat fat sherry and don't stop to think that there may be a reason why I over eat like I do... -
I work in a hospital, and today I was talking to one of the docs that I work with. I told him about my very low vit d and that is why I have so much leg pain, he stated ooohh yeah that makes since that you would have bone pain. then I told him about doc carttar saying that I might have Celiac and he laughed and started to say you gotta be kidding me. He...

ARCHIVED What Was Your Last Gluten Meal ?

Pizza from pizza hut and a 6 inch sandwich from subway. all on the same night I knew I would miss those, but I will miss the subway sandwich the most. -
ARCHIVED Tummy Pain
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
That's true, because I can eat carrots raw but lettuce always hurts me. But it seams that all lettuce hurts me, not just ice burg. I used to really love red leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce but not any more. not until I heal anyway. and I hope I can one day eat it again. -
ARCHIVED Tummy Pain
sherrylynn replied to sherrylynn's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Thank you ravenwoodglass, I think you are right about the raw veggies. I usually respond to lettus this way, sometimes I can see the lettus in the bathroom later, about 2 hours later. I am just stupid in thinking I could eat it now. I am going to lay off the lettus and just eat my cooked veggies from now on. When I was eating just chicken and pork and... -
