    ARCHIVED Grief

I have those nightmares ALL of the time. Sometimes it just kills me. I watch people eating a slice of pizza or grabbing a cheese burger on the go and say "why do I have to struggle?!". And I know it's cliche... but it's really true, things could be a lot worse. I mean there are so many things my body still does for me. It limits me, yes. But I have to...
  2. I went to 99 when I went across country with my boyfriend for a funeral. I had heard bad things about the gluten-free menu. I didn't even bother with it haha I just ordered a salad and loaded up on gluten enzyme pills!
  3. Getting the thyroid checked is my gut reaction. But I know how you feel. When I first found out my gluten intolerance I slept for 18+ hrs a day :/
  4. I am very aware that celiac/gluten intolerance issues are linked with Hashimotos (autoimmune thyroid disease), but I was just wondering how many people here have both. I first got hashimotos when I was about 16. I was on heavy thyroid medication and had serious symptoms for a long time, but eventually I got my numbers down and off the medication. About...

  6. I always took levo. Made my hair fall out though :/ Everyone is different though.

  8. As a former Disney Cast member and gluten-free I can tell you that there is no better place to go to have delicious gluten-free meals!!!! Every single restaurant has options. Tell them you need rice bread, rice pasta etc. If you go to "The Land" in Epcot, the food court has excellent gluten-free brownies. And the Sci Fi Diner has a gluten-free chicken...
  9. Congrats!!!! I love it when my bloat goes away. Share your tips with the class
  10. Yea I know where you're coming from. My boyfriend often gets MRSA boils and needs them surgically removed. The other day I was asking about the scars and when they all happened. He told me the one on his arm was 2 months ago... and I was there. NO memory what so ever. And my dad told me that a few months ago he had enlisted my help to fish a frog...
  11. So to just give a quick background... I'm 19 and struggled with hashimotos thyroid disease since 16. The symptoms of the hashimotos began to subside, however Gluten Intolerant symptoms began. As someone who is majoring in Dietetics in college and studying to become an RD I knew I was at risk and saw the symptoms. CRAZY Tired Mood Swings Depressed Belly...
