  1. *Sigh* Here's what happened today: Doc listened to my story. Doc says, 'Well lets get you to the lab check your liver panel again.' (I'd recently had elevated enzymes...) Doc says, 'Lets schedule you for an EGD and a colonoscopy' I schedule appointments, get my labs done (which by the way, I had a HORRID phlebotomist or however you spell it...) and go...
  2. I asked my OB about it at my six-week pp appt, and he says no, which is why he directed me to my PCP in the first place... and they thought originally it could be gallstones because when they pressed on my gb I lept off the bed... Radiology showed nothing though... Wish it were as simple as hormones.. Edit: Miracle of Miracles! The wait list was worth...
  3. I am kinda in love with the fact SLC parking enforcement vehicles are hummers.

  4. Minus the Shrimp it sounds good Lisa!
  5. ARGH! Just got the call from the GI to schedule my appointment... August 1st, I have to wait that long when I can barely eat anything? NO FAIR! I'm tired of not being able to eat without feeling sick... and I did actually vomit a bit yesterday! SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE! I did get on the wait list for something sooner, but I doubt anything will happen...
  6. Thank you! Just wanted reassurance before I ate it.
  7. Ashley Buchanan - is my skype going crazy or have you really not been online much lately! I know it does go crazy now and then so I have to check!

  8. I bought some pasta at Walmart that claims its gluten free, but then it has a warning that its processed in a facility that manufactures wheat, but says nothing about manufacturing practices to keep it from cc.... Usually if it says its gluten-free they've done testing to make sure its below the 20 ppm or whatever it is count right? Anyone have experience...
  9. Great I'm not in Tooele... Now, can we get back to my show!

  10. I just made corn tacos made with my own salsa! Veggies were grilled squash and grilled onions (done on a griddle inside since its wet and we don't have a grill anyway.)... MMMMMMM soooo good.
  11. Yeah my blood test for Celiac was negative, but that doesn't mean I don't have a gluten intolerance... Because I sure do... If I didn't have a gluten problem, my cycle wouldn't have miraculously regularized when I stopped eating gluten... But I've got to figure out why I'm STILL feeling nauseous, and got soft sometimes diarrheatic stools.
  12. Well I've had radiology done to see if I've gall stones... No luck. Now because I'm still having problems, my PCP is sending me specifically to a GI...He's asking the Gastrointestinal doc do a zillion tests, possibly including a biopsy to again get results for Celiac. H pylori and allergies are all possibilities... I'm scared to death! I've been looking...
  13. Was it almost incessant lightninng in your neck of the woods too? And yeah there were a bunch of people lighting off illlegal fireworks last few nights round here too. Even had a cop in our complex on thursday. And yeah temp got real nice last night! Midday was still nineties but I still waited outside because it felt so nice compared to the triple digits...
  14. Nikki, I think both Neutrogena and Burts Bees list there gluten-free items online.
  15. Banks... I hate them... One of those things you cant live with but you cant live without either.

  16. Yeah I read the Tribune online... Mostly because I'm looking to find what hilarious crime spree happened or new law... I die laughing at some of the crimes in Utah... A couple years back (or was it last year? Don't remember) someone vandalized the state capitol sign... crossed out where it said 'State' and put 'Church' so the sign on the capitol read 'Church...
  17. In response to the original question... yes there are items that are not distinctly labeled gluten free that are in fact gluten free. Like other people have said, here in the US, they have to distinguish if their product is MADE with the eight common allergens, of which wheat/gluten is one. However, because many companies do make wheat products, they may...
  18. I use the Burts Bee's colored lip balms.
  19. EWWWWW MSG! My mother gets migraines from it... I used to get a lot of headaches when I was younger, so my mother suggested I cut out MSG, been a whole new person (when it comes to headaches) since! As for sodas, I haven't come across one with gluten, and I was very careful at first with sodas, only drank sprite and things like that...(Or sodas with...
  20. Yes I agree, it could be that you've not gotten used to it yet, it tends to be an acquired taste, simply because we are so used to gluteny breads when we start eating gluten free that we expect it to be the same. Personally, I prefer to make my own bread, because a) I know what's in it exactly because *I* put it there, breadmaking is relaxing c) most gluten...
  21. Yeah I looked at the SL Tribune a couple days ago and it said in June we broke all the dry records, and the triple digit heat broke a 1979 record and a 1990 something record... can't remember what each record was... one was 104 heat though! And yup... I *HEARD* it rained, we didn't wake up to proof of it though, so I can't be certain if it rained in West...
  22. Thing is, I'm not sure its helping, but we tried soy and he wouldn't even swallow that (I don't think he liked the flavor of it... not that I blame him, I don't even know how he tolerates Alimentum. It smells like crap!)... he's got a lame *insert a stream of four letter words* pediatrician I do not trust in the slightest, but stupid insurance problems won...
  23. Does it bother anyone else when people say Happy Fourth of July instead of Independence Day? We arent celebrating the fourth we are celebrating independence!

  24. Yeah, that's what I meant... I'm HORRIBLE at writing/saying what I mean... But the tip is much appreciated because when I break out (for lack of a better phrase) anything to make it a little better would be amazing!
  25. Okay so if you live in the Western US, you are probably well aware of the record breaking heat and the code red heat advisories... If you are not from the Western US... we currently are under a spell of triple digit heat... My neck of the woods sits at 105-ish... other parts at 115-120... Meanwhile, I don't know about the other parts of the west but I would...
