  1. Ok, I made my dh watch the dr. Oz show that he did on gluten. Unfourtunatly, it made it worse. We argue all the time now about what I eat. It makes me so angry I see red. He thinks it's to expensive to eat gluten free. He also thinks that gluten in "moderation" is fine. We went to cracker barrel agents my protests on sat. Night. I had the steak salad wig...
  2. I had been gluten free since October or 2010. I felt great. Lost weight, was able to go to the bathroom like a "normal" person, (first time in almost all my life) my skin cleared up, I got off all my anxiety meds, ect. I got pregnant in December of 2010, and I was able to maintain gluten-free until the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy. Then I started eating everything...
  3. Thanks for the info! I'm a cheese lover. I hate straight milk because it hurts my tummy. Isn't it funny how it takes 3-4 days before it REALLY hurts?! I remember thinking wow, I still feel pretty good. Awesome! Then it hit I'm starting to think more and more that it's dairy. I had gluten-free frozen yogert last night. I hope I don't have the same issue
  4. I glutened myself bad this past weekend. Glad to know I'm not the only one who has done this to MYSELF..... I went on aday trip with my inlaws. I ate before I went, knowing there was not going to be anything accessable. We went to a resturant, and I asked if they had a gluten-free menu. She said "a what?" I ordered a bowl of lettuce in a CLEAN bowl...
  5. Can you give me any of your expierences? This would be #3 for me. The other 2 I didn't know that I had any issues. This past weekend, I was not as careful as I should have been, and was glutend really bad. I have THE WORST stomach pain. It almost feelings like my uterus and stomach are inflamed and swollen. It comes and goes. I am in the 2 week wait right...
  6. That's very interesting that you say that about zinc. I have asked so many times about mlabsortion, and they told me not to worrt about it. I'm really bad about remembering vitamines also. They just ordered me Retin-A, but my insurance won't approve it. I have a hard time with pills. Are they small?
  7. OVer the last couple of years, the acne on my chin and around my mouth has gotten worse. I started gluten-free, and my skin cleared up majorly. I do have a lot of red marks from where the active outbreak was. All of a sudden, it's started back. I have tried so many things to treat it, but it won't go away. They itch really badly. I purposly glutened myself...
  8. I had been using a Redkin shampoo and conditioner. Every single time i used it, my head itched and itched and itched. I had to stop using it. When I said something to a person at a wholesaler (my husband is a hair stylist) She said "oh, are you gluten intolerant or Celiac? It has a HUGE amount of wheat filler in it!" I was like hmmmm...that's interesting...
  9. And he said that I definatly don't have celiac, but he thinks i have a gluten intolerece. Wants me to stay gluten free. He even went as far as making sure my meds are gluten free. He wants me to have a colonoscopy, and an endoscopy because of the blood. He understands that I have major anxiety about it, and some OCD. He wants to regulate my meds and get...
  10. Thanks for all your replies. I am starting to feel better. I have taken the afternoon off from work to get my head in order, and i'm off tomorrow. I am going to the dr, and I finally feel ok to talk. This has been a very dark place for me. My husband is really starting to understand and come around. I agree with the eating out. I have cut it in 1/2 from what...
  11. I'm so frustrated I'm sittng here crying. From my lasts posts, I was gluten-free 1 week prior to blood work. The called and told me I was negitive. I will get exact numbers on Thursday. I ate out on Friday, and with in 4-5 bites my stomach hurt. I assumed they didn't clean the grill in the kitchen, and it was cc. Sat I went to a different resturant and was...
  12. Makes me PETRIFIED, being I'm an over reactor, and I tend to freak and have constant anxiety. This is not the first time I've had it. Many, many years of it. I don't know why it's all of a sudden bothering me NOW. I have a lot of bulk, and sometimes they are hard to pass. I assumed they were hemroids, etc. I'm thinking my intestines are irritated? I don't...
  13. I don't know why I'm freaking out today, because it's happened so many times in my life.... I got glutened Friday night. I ate chocolate this weekend, which I don't tolerate well(It was PMS and couldn't resist!) So today I finally go to the bathroom(I'm usually C, not D) And there was some blood on the toilet paper, as well as mixed into the stool. Is...
  14. You have a published gluten free menu. I want to make sure that you understand that if you cross contaminate anything, I get VERY sick. Here is what i need from you: Gluten can be found in: Wheat, Barley, Rye and Oats. Please clean the grill, pan, pot, or whatever else you are going to use to cook my food. Some butter, marinades, and spices contain...
  15. Which have you seen? Both, or just one or the other? I have an internest the Dr. Phil show has provided. I am going to see him Friday (it's a follow up from my hormones) so maybe he will have some guidance? He's in California, and someone told me they are a little more advanced than Florida?
  16. CC is a big thing in my house, because my husband cooks most nights. He thinks i'm just OCD about it, and taking it way past extream. This past weekend, I had made 2 different mac and cheeses. One for the kids and him, and one for me. He took the serving spoon out of theirs, and rested it in my pot. He's like oh that little bit shouldn't hurt you. It's only...
  17. I'm not eating any gluten. I got some I think on Sunday, and I've had a rash, bloating, c (able to go today, but only a little) increased mucus production, foggy brain, and some joint pain. If that is only a little,or cc, I would HATE to see what would happen to me if I ate gluten like I used to. I know that the scope is not accurate if I don't eat gluten...
  18. My labs are "negitive" I have my follow up next Thursday with my PCP. He told me when he ordered the labs that he was going to send me to the GI. I went to my son's GI this morning with him, and the appointment turned into my gluten intolerance(son is cleared, fine, and thriving!) She said that they are probably going to want to do a scope. Why am i so...
  19. i don't have any advice for you, just wanted to give you a ((hug)) and tell you to hang in there.
  20. If's funny you mention the post nasal drip. I have had it my whole life, and for the first time, i don't have it! I am completely off my sinus meds! I'm a lactation counselor. I can look back, and see some of the children that I worked with who's mom's have cut everything out- dairy-eggs-soy, but never gluten. The kids never got better, and mom was so...
  21. I am in counseling. I'm wondering if it's how I preceve what he says, or what he actually says. He thinks I take stuff out of contex, that he is just jokeing. If anyone saw my episode of Dr. Phil, Dr.Phil made it really clear to him that I laugh at the time, but it really hurts my feelings. Uggghh...life, marraige and kids. No one ever said it was easy...
  22. Ok, here is some background: My son, Dean was a premie. He was born by C-section. I had a prev child who was 2 at the time, so my fears weren't a first time mom thing. Dean would stop breathing in the middle of the night. It's like he was chokeing. I started letting him sleep propped up on my arm. He had an upper GI that showed reflux. Started reflux meds...
  23. I'm trying hard not to eat it. I'm doing a lot in my power to stay away. I'm still getting cc at home. I am going to ask for a copy of my labs at my next appointment, and I will post them. I go back on 11/11. So let me get this straight: If I had an intolerance, i would have this delayed reaction. Here is an example: Tuesday when I got back from...
  24. Uggghhhh!! We went camping last weekend. I packed all my food to take with me. My husband keeps complaining how expensive it is. I ran to the grocery store while we were there, and I came accross gluten-free Bisquick. I can't find it near where I live, so I got it to take home. He looked at the reciept, and in front of everyone said " I'll tell you what,...
  25. I've been called a hypochondriac, OCD, even crazy. I thought that I FINALLY figued out what was making me so miserable my whole life. I was diagnosed with IBS a while ago, and assumed that was the problem. There is a mucus in my movements, but it's been there for as long as i remember. I finally had the nerve to ask fr the blood work, and it came back negitive...
