  1. Thanks! I'll email them to see if they are corn free. I have to watch corn as carefully as gluten.
  2. Thanks! I haven't found any chocolate chips that are dairy and nut free...but that doesn't mean that there are not any! Also, can I use olive oil in the recipes? If so, I would love to have them.
  3. I have looked at King Arthur before. I didn't see anything without xanthan gum but i'll check again! I'll have to check out that magazine again. I use to subscribe to it but it ran out. Thanks
  4. I am getting tired of fruit being my only snack. Are there any cookies or mixes or anything that is gluten, soy, dairy and corn and nut free. Xanthan gum is from corn and guar gum makes me sick. I can't find anything without the gums in it. Any suggestions are appreciated!
  5. UGH! Thanks
  6. I have seen that Tom's at Walgreens. I'll have to check it out. The sals are killing me right now. I ate steak with a billion green, red and yellow peppers and now i'm a mess. I guess I have to start taking sals very seriously from now on. You are right, it sucks!
  7. I have a couple of things coming up. The first is my Birthday. Because of other food allergies, I can't eat anything processed so my husband and I just usually stay home and BBQ. The second is a bunch of family from out of state are coming to visit my parents. We do want to join in and hang out with everyone. This always involves eating out at least...
  8. I found this on some literature from a neuropath. A milk-free diet may improve symptoms of dermatitis herpetiformis. The intake of milk products intensified symptoms of DH in two patients despite adherence to a gluten-free diet and a milk and gluten-free diet was effective. - Since I already had a Dh flare from the NSAIDS I took a few weeks ago, maybe...
  9. Thanks.. must have been the sals or I was glutened and mistook it for casein. This stuff is so hard to figure out! Since my gluten, corn and casein reactions are all the same, sometimes I never know!
  10. I am one of those corn reactive people. Corn is as bad for me as gluten. Makes so much sense. Thanks for posting this.
  11. I am going to look into this. Thank you! Any ideas on how to go about it?
  12. The unscented Dove is pretty good too. I know what you mean about the stench, I get that feeling in the laundry and bread and bakery isle. I think it's time for me to get rid of the crystal stick deodorant. It's making things worse with the salts.
  13. I have a casein allergy. Is it possible for casein to flare up DH? I had some milk and butter and got my usual reaction but now since my DH is flaring on my elbows and pits again, I am thinking I had to have been glutened. Anyone know?
  14. I can't have anything processed because of other food allergies but in the past I liked Enjoy Life brand. Their cookies were pretty good. For non-food, I like Dawn Hand Renewal for dishes and Dove Green Tea bar soap. Mahatma rice is a good rice brand. For the people that can have it, Udi's bread and muffins and bagels I hear are good. I'm sure others...
  15. From one DH glasses wearing girl to another, I hear ya!
  16. There is a Dove Unscented for sensitive skin. Do the scents bother your DH or you can't do scents b/c of allergies or something else? I am pretty sensitive to scents that smell fake like Febreeze and Downy fab. softener but the Dove scents I find don't bother me at all.
  17. I don't think it has real green tea and cucumber but it smells like it does. What do you expect for 5 bucks for like 8 bars. lol All of the Dove soaps smell great! Glad they are all Gluten-Free.
  18. Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately my dairy experiment failed in a big way with gluten type reactions...anyway, hopefully someone else will find this useful!
  19. Thanks for the responses. It's obvious that I need to avoid dairy. Thankfully we have rice milk and those kinds of things. Not the same I know but better than nothing. If I could just find a soy free, corn free sub. for butter...
  20. Thanks for posting that article. It makes sense now. I guess I am going to join the no dairy ever club!
  21. They can check your hormone levels to see whats going on.
  22. I usually buy my Dove bar soap at the Dollar General Store because it is close to my house and cheaper. I was using Dove Unscented for Sensitive Skin. They were out of that variety so I bought Dove Cool Moisture Green Tea and Cucumber scent. I don't know what the deal is with it but it calms down my DH, especially the underarm DH. Plus it smells awesome...
  23. I had a gluten type reaction to eating casein. Is this pretty typical with a casein allergy? It was almost exactly the same as the gluten reaction except the pain was lower and didn't last as long. What are you casein reaction symptoms?
  24. Also, can casein cause joint pain like gluten does?
  25. Well, I gave in and tried my dairy intolerance yet again. I don't know why I thought it would be any different this time. I have been gluten free for 3 years. They said that I would be able to add back dairy after 6 months. I think I am one of those celiacs who wont ever be able to have dairy again. I started out slowly...Just a little milk in my coffee...
