  1. When I get glutened, or corned, for some reason I feel most of the bloating and pain on the left side. I have read other posts about left sided pain..I think it's just part of celiac and healing. Corn really makes me feel like that. Do you have corn issues?
  2. Do you have a recipe? I am one of those cooks who need step by step directions. Would apple cider vinegar work?
  3. Thanks for the suggestions!!! Pavlova looks delicious!!!! I searched online and can't find a recipe without corn starch though. hmmm. I guess I will have to go for fruit sorbet. Thanks for the suggestion! I found a watermelon sorbet recipe that sounds great. Anyone know how to make Pavlova corn free? I can't have coconut, it ticks of my Dh. ...
  4. Does anyone have any ideas of what to have in place of a Birthday cake? I can't tolerate any of the mixes due to other allergies. No gluten, soy, dairy, nuts or corn. I would normally just bring something from home but this is for my Birthday. I usually just eat fruit for dessert but I don't know how well this would go over with the family.
  5. Thanks so much for answering my question. I do think it may be fat and not mucus because as soon as the pain subsides, the symptom stops as well. I think when I am absorbing my food, the fat malabsorbtion stops.
  6. Every time I get glutened, I get intense intestinal cramps that feel like I ate cement and glass, bloating and gas for several days. A few days of D then it goes into C with floating stool. Then as the pain lessens, I get mucous, but not always in the stool. Often I will pass gas and pass mucous. OR I feel like I have to go but just pass gas and mucous. After...
  7. My friends non-celiac kids had this happen from colored cereal and those gummy fruit snacks. I wouldn't worry.
  8. I was glutened last week and had D for several days. Now I just have cramping, floating stool and mucus discharge and gas with undigested food. I think the undigested food is what is causing the cramps. I really need to start being extra careful about gluten exposure. It's been a week and I still have cramps. I am growing very weary of celiac disease...
  9. I think this is a for sure sign that I have been glutened. Since celiac is fat malabsorbtion, makes perfect sense!
  10. Thanks, I am ok with food. as long as I stick with meat, fruit and veg, I am good to go. It's the packaged stuff that zaps me.
  11. I was glutened big time last week by something careless. I am still having the floating stool. Hopefully it resolves soon! Thanks for the info, thats what I thought it was but wasn't sure exactly.
  12. Sure sounds like celiac to me!
  13. Is poop NOT supposed to float? Doesn't EVERYBODY's poop float? And what does it mean that it floats? Ie. Why does it float, and what does this have to do with celiac disease?
  14. Thanks! I will check those out.
  15. So, as long as there is still floating stool, mucus and cramps with undigested food, I am still malabsorbing? Is there anything that can be done about it other than staying 100% gluten free?
  16. I'm not doing that well either. I get to feeling pretty good and then I will try something "gluten free" and I get zapped. It's happened several times over the last few months. I have to stay 99% unprocessed food or I will get zapped. It's hard and i'm so weary from intestinal pain, cramps and bloating.
  17. Thanks for your reply. I use to have D all the time, now when I get glutened, I get D maybe 3 times and then it's mucus and undigested food with floating stool and it hurts like hell.
  18. After a glutening and after the D, I will have intestinal pain with mucus and undigested food. Is this part of the malabsorbtion thing that comes with celiac? I thought we were not digesting fats but this is actual pieces of food.
  19. They smell great! They don't smell like a health food store at all. They just smell like regular hair products but not heavily scented at all...just a nice and light, clean scent.
  20. Check out Original Sprout. It's free of silicone and ORIGINAL SPROUT PRODUCTS ARE BIODEGRADABLE, 100% VEGETARIAN (VEGAN), FREE OF PHYTOESTROGENS, SOY, PARABENS, GLUTEN, DIXOANES FROM SULFATES, PHTHALATES & FORMALDEHYDE. They have several ones to choose from.
  21. That is scary. I would stay far away from honey if I had a reaction like that. Thats how I get with bananas. It has something to do with latex which I am very allergic to. Last time I had one, I couldn't breathe. I will look for some local honey. Thanks.
  22. I have curly hair down to my waist. I use the Suave Naturals line of shampoo and conditioner. It's all gluten free. Then I follow it up with Original Sprout Leave in Detangler and Conditioner. The Original Sprout line is all gluten free too.
  23. That sounds delicious! What brand of honey do you buy? I like watermelon with a little sugar sprinkled on top. Tastes like candy. I also love sweet potatoes and kale chips!
