  1. Hey, I know this is off topic . Maybe a bit personal but nice car . Is it yours ?
  2. I would rather just continue a gluten free life style . I put my trust in doctors and big pharma. for many years . All they did was make me more sick . I'm skeptical when it comes to the relationship between dotors and drug companies . Are they really there to help . FOLLOW THE MONEY .
  3. That would be the Boston area .
  4. As a matter of fact I do have kids . My intent was not to stir up any anger . I am sorry if I did . Disney parks takes Celiac very seriously and goes out of thier way to cater to us . My children watch Disney channel almost exclusively . No I wouldn't think a kid going through chemo was funny . But occasionally we have to look and laugh at certain things...
  5. Just change the channel and move on . Sometimes we have to laugh at ourselves . Disney is a great . When visiting Disney they take Celiac and other diseases VERY SERIOUSLY . Heck making fun of things is just part of life .
  6. Just discovered a new to me Gluten Free Beer . Glutenberg beer just arrived in my area yesterday . I tried the blonde version . Its great tastes like what I remember beer tasting like before my celiac diagnosis . In my opinion much better than my usual Redbridge . Check it out if you can comes in a four pack of 16 ounce cans .
  7. I have seperate frying pans which I use for gluten free. Also you may want to use a dedicated dish rag or sponge for yourself. May sound a bit over the top but I figure better safe than sorry. Check you tooth paste and mouth wash also.
  8. Thanks guys. I just got soo excited when I saw a new beer labeled Gluten Free. Should have checked the board first. Oh well. Should be some kind of law preventing them from labeling it as such.
  9. While at the store last week to get my refill of Redbridge beer I noticed something new. Estrella Damm Daura " Gluten Free" beer. It is labeled as real beer and is certified to have a gluten content below 6ppm. I picked up a four pack instead of my usual Redbridge. It tasted pretty good. Later that evening I had a horrible reaction. I brushed it off thinking...
  10. Just had a Hershey bar this afternoon. 1.55 oz bars are listed on thier web site as gluten free.
  11. Have you ever tried premade crust? Udis and Rudis both make crust.I eat them all the time they taste pretty good.

  16. Since October,8,2010.I really miss real beer.Redbridge tastes sweet to me.Bards made me sick not because of gluten because it was horrible.I used to drink PBR while mowing the lawn.Good cheap beer. But would enjoy a nice Guiness or Sam Adams with a meal. Those were the days.We should start a forum on this subject alone.I bet there are many like us.Now I drink...

  18. I will give it a try if I can find it.We have Whole Foods here in Boston but I dont think any sell alcohol.I do agree with you beer does taste better in a bottle. But any real beer even in a can would be better than gluten-free beer at this point. Thanks great subject.

  20. Not sure but I get it too.Dry eyes as well.
  21. Boy I would really love a PBR in a can just like the old days.Metalic taste and all.LOL.Wish I could have normal beer again.
  22. It takes time. Its not in your head I used to think the same because for the longest time doctors suggested that to me.It gets better.Little by little you will become more comfotable as you heal. But trust me you are not abnormal. You will get to a point when you realize wow Im having more good days than bad and your mind will start to clear.
  23. Can only speak for myself.Yes after close to 14 months gluten free i still get occasional gurgling and abdominal pain.In the begining I would also get rib pain and what i would swear was gallbladder and liver pain.Ct and ultrasound came out clear. It takes time but keep your chin up you will improve.Good luck.
  24. I guess for me.I wish it could just be like it used to be.I didnt know I had this until I was 41.I was a big guy with a huge appetite. Now I feel weak and like everyone is always trying to please me.Sounds silly but I wish everyone including my gluten eating wife and daughters would just eat stop saying they are sorry.I cant speak for your husband. If he is...
