  1. Those names sound a little 'prophetic'.... keep an eye on Killbot
  2. I need to pick more brains about this. Is this a logical thought here... Celiac causes malabsorption and thus mega symptoms depending on the area of the gut that is affected. If a person has been suffering from anemia, vitamin deficiencies, food issues such as an inability to digest dairy.. does that imply villi atrophy? Wouldn't that suggest Celiac...
  3. Found some info.. Open Original Shared Link Incremental cost of Gluten-free (gluten-free) products, an eligible medical expense. Persons who suffer from celiac disease (gluten intolerance) are entitled to claim the incremental costs associated with the purchase of gluten-free (gluten-free) products as a medical expense. You do not qualify for the...
  4. Yes, this has been my experience... before I couldn't stop eating and I was always craving food. Now I am satisfied - and less interested in food.. which has led to some unhealthy eating habits too, thus I haven't lost any weight.
  5. One of the things I learned on this site was that non-stick sufaces that are scratched could be a problem and iron pans could also cc you. I also have had problems with a toaster - that's probably an obvious one. Also replace wooden utensils. I do all our cooking so I don't have many problems.
  6. There are some good articles/lists on the main site. This one has unsafe foods. https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/forbidden-gluten-food-list-unsafe-ingredients-r182/ This is the safe foods list: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/safe-gluten-free-food-list-safe-ingredients-r181/ I do/did a lot of searching on the site for answers.

  11. [quote Oh, I LOVE James Herriot (Alf Whyte). A few years ago we vacationed in the Yorkshire dales and moors, in the middle of James Herriot country and had a fantastic time. We were in his surgery in Thirsk and saw where he and Helen were married. quote] sighhhhhhhh someday....
  12. Mp3 with a couple of audible books.. James Herriot is my favorite. Huge distraction if you can't hold a book standing. I will just throw this in... my stiffness and soreness increases with carbs and sugars. If I eat raw veggies and small portions of fish or fowl.. then I am very much less stiff and sore than if I eat rice, potatoes, fruit, and gluten...
  13. Lasagna! What more can I say... it had spinach, carrot, broccoli, peppers, cottage cheese, ..and then the other usual stuff. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  14. They are probably trying to make you feed them. Don't make eye contact!!!
  15. That's a mystery.. I think everyone is different... a guess - the sicker you've been - the longer the healing (?) My symptoms displayed problematically for 6 yrs. My symptoms resolved in a matter of months.. but if you don't find all of your food reactions or you are unknowingly ingesting gluten.. there are so many variables.
  16. I will get Scott on that training... Chilli has such cute fingers...er..toes. Sorry, I gush over that chinny all the time. He holds his shredded wheat in his fist. .. (quote) . . . Smack l loved it . . . . . . now he may be asking for a chinchilla soon ... (quote) He'd love it. Only problem.. he is turning our house into kindling. All...
  17. Yes... well, it does kinda.. okay, so how about this? Any better..? This is my son... Chilli won't stay on my head.
  18. Emily.... I am staring at your poor dejected jester with the hedgehog hat.. and..eh hem.. It seems as though the pot is calling the kettle black... I will look very dapper sitting on me sofa at 4am, thank you, with my ankles crossed.
  19. Yes, don't be disappointed if it is negative although I sure hope there is something conclusive for you. The proof is what your body tells you. If gluten free fixes you.. celebrate and join the crowd!
  20. It is pheasant feathers... I guess this isn't phunny... but it's a hat. And it's so gorgeous I just thought I'd show you.
