  1. I have been doing as much reading as I can (because I'm trying to start a support group) and I found this article and remembered your post. It underlines what has already been said and is very good reading... https://www.celiac.com/articles/22237/1/Better-Education-for-Celiac-and-Gluten-Sensitive-Patients/Page1.html

  3. Is there any chance you could give them some info? Surely you are not the only gluten free customer... they could benefit from knowing about the cc issues and about gluten issues too. What do you think? Could you approach them?

  5. It's true. What can you say when things all of a sudden make sense and you are being validated. Then you explain it and someone says "That's me too!" It kind of snowballs. I can hardly wait till that support meeting... 3 more days. Do you know what is cool.. the drugstore here has taken on the job of ordering Gluten Free products for us and the girl...

  7. I know it has been said many (tons) of times but I have to say it again because, here I am - a new member and, this forum has made such a difference. This has been so educational and whole areas of experience are so important. A friend of mine and I were visiting and I know she is bipolar so I asked "Do you have D by any chance?" 10. Thank you for those ideas! I am very excited, the meeting is less than a week away and I have had a few people contacting me including a store here that wants to order gluten free products (we just lost our old supplier here in town), and a couple of business people wanting to display product. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll post the results on the ...
  11. Okay, not all of Al's stuff is in good taste.. perhaps not any. And I apologize for any offense as well. However this is the area of the Forum called "General Chat Unrelated to Celiac Disease - Discuss most things here EXCEPT Celiac Disease / Gluten-Free Diet. Keep it light and avoid controversal topics like global warming, gay marriage, gun control, euthanasia...

  13. After starting to bake gluten free I have fallen in love with the gluten free cooking.. because I feel good and mostly because it tastes fantastic. Given.. the bought stuff is never as good and there are always recipe failures but that is true of gluten food as well. When you begin the adventure of cooking gluten free you might even enjoy it more than the...
  14. Thanks! I am perusing by using google.. I guess that probably is the best for a recipe because ingredients here are hard to come by. I want to try the grinder idea.
  15. Need cracker recipe! I've read through the recipes looking for cracker recipes and I have found about 4 different ones. 16. I hear ya, when I think about how exhausted I was for years.. no motivation, and depressed because I knew this was not me... I could cry thinking about back then. 17. From a home schooling mom to everybody... oh, oh, I'm on the wrong forum - what the heck. You all will have fun with this too . Here's a link to a map of the Middle East - can you put the names in the correct place? This reminds me of what is happening over there. Say yes to civil liberties, human rights, democracy and justice for all! Open...
  18. I've been eating gluten free for 9mths now and it's still improving. The last month I have really noticed how much more energy I have and remembering.. it's been many years since I've felt this good.. I was sick for about 6 years before starting the diet so this is a relief. Be encouraged.
  19. I know some people can't do Irish Cream liquor but I made rice pudding one time with Irish Cream and it was so very good! I put in part milk and part Irish Cream.. to your liking. Yum!

  21. I have always believed in being straight up with kids. It seems they follow like little ducks and if something is presented to them as matter of fact.. that's how they take it. They will watch you to see how you deal with life and this is a great chance for you to show them... this isn't terrible, it's just different. An idea is to thank them for their...
  22. ValeriaZ, I found this article that is very much easier to understand, I think and thought you might like to read it. I'm still trying to get this clear in my head too. https://www.celiac.com/articles/759/1/Early-Diagnosis-of-Gluten-Sensitivity-Before-the-Villi-are-Gone-by-By-Kenneth-Fine-MD/Page1.html

This is not unusual to have negative test results but still be sick from gluten. I only had a biopsy, it was negative but it is like night and day when I eat gluten. I get very sick. (And my doctor was very...
