ARCHIVED Test Results Back, Low Serotonin?
Teri Lou replied to SandraLAVixen's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Seratonins is often associated with depression, fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Here is a web site describing some of the symptoms associated with low seratonin. Have you been under a great deal of stress lately? This can cause levels to drop. Here is the link I found. Good luck with everything! Open Original Shared Link -
ARCHIVED Feeling Terrible
Teri Lou replied to Peppa-minto's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I know when I was first diagnosed it seemed I was sensitive to EVERYTHING! Have you tried cutting out caffeine, fatty foods, processed foods as well as dairy? After a year I can now do processed and dairy as long as I don't over do, but fatty and caffeine will still aggravate my very sensitive (and obnoxious) stomach. Early on natural foods seemed safest... -

ARCHIVED Am I In The Right Place?
Teri Lou replied to justlisa's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
So sorry to hear how poorly you are feeling. Can definitely sympathize with you as I have lupus, and went through a lot of the same things you are. I also suggested a gluten intolerance to the dr and was pooh poohed by the MD, however started gluten free anyway and it made a HUGE difference in how I felt. Then accidentally got glutened and developed DH rash... -
ARCHIVED Cheetos? Reacting From? Anyone Else Have Problems
Teri Lou posted a topic in Dermatitis Herpetiformis
Hi- I am having a massive DH breakout and the only thing I can think it would be from is Cheetos...everything else I have eaten today is either fruit, vegetable or gluten free bread....does anyone else have problems with these? I don't see anything on label or online that would indicate gluten in the ingredients...What am I missing? -
ARCHIVED Another Request To Help With Test Results
Teri Lou replied to Carrie923's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I wonder if you could have lymphocytic colitis? Since the lymphocytes are high. I had that initially and was told to avoid fatty foods, dairy and caffeine and it helped for a while....but then I progressed into Celiac (My understanding is lymphocytic colitis is sometimes almost like a precurser type of thing for celiac) So maybe you have something like this... -
ARCHIVED Another Confusing Discrepancy Between Blood Tests And Biopsy Results
Teri Lou replied to DevsMama's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
At this point it probably wouldn't hurt to try gluten free just to see if made a difference...also what meds are they treating your RA with....I have lupus and know some I totally can't tolerate cause they cause so much GI inflammation I get symptoms like yours..have you had any recent med changes? or are the ones you are on known to cause GI irritation?... -
ARCHIVED Heat Rash
Teri Lou replied to Gunkle's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have lupus and get that sort of a heat rash when exposed to the sun. Have you noticed any sort of photosensitivity? I would recommend getting tested for both lupus and Celiacs, and possibly other autoimmune diseases as in my own experience there is a lot of overlap. Good luck! Rashes like that are so not fun! -

ARCHIVED Could This Be Celiac & Testing Question
Teri Lou replied to ML5's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
With regular fevers that high I would see a specialist. Some of the symptoms sound like Celiac but I haven't heard of high fevers with it? Does anyone else have comments about fevers with gluten intolerance/ celiac? Good luck and hope they figure it out soon for you so she can feel better! -

ARCHIVED Won't Give Endoscopy With Breastfeeding
Teri Lou replied to motherwqsalways4's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Maybe check out Enterolab (google it)....I have heard other people on here discuss them and they can check stool samples for antibodies to gluten which would indicate a gluten intolerance. They also do DNA testing to check if you have the celiac gene(s).....both of these tests could be done despite the fact you are breast feeding I think sounds like your... -
