  1. The new one is out? Guess I will be going to the library
  2. Welcome to the board. It is entirely possible that he just does not want to see you in pain when you need to do a gluten challenge in order to be tested. For us, my husband absolutely refused to let me do a gluten challenge for testing because he won't let me be put through hell when it won't necessarily give us a definitive answer. I personally think...
  3. I love anything by Nicholas Sparks, I own all his books! I enjoy most of Jodi Picoult's also, but those I get from the library since I don't usually reread her stuff.
  4. Tonight I am making floret lasagna with sweet Italian sausage. I have been smelling the sauce while it has been simmering for a few hours already and dinner can't come quick enough.
  5. All I can say is WOW! A lot of the things that I eat are on the very high list.
  6. Thank you for this, it is something else that I will bring up. My normal resting heartrate is about 110 and when I am standing for awhile I will check my pulse and it is closer to 180. The last dr I mentioned that too said it was just the way my body worked.
  7. No they only ran the TSH. I am going to have to make an appointment and I will ask him about those tests.
  8. It was 1.34. I was shocked that it was normal because even the doc said it was a textbook case of hypothyroid.
  9. I never had any testing done so I have no clue Our group of doctors diagnosed my daughters and I on resolution of symptoms and never mentioned anything about testing. I didn't know any specifics about testing until I joined this forum after going gluten free. I really hope that you get to the bottom of your symptoms too, it is incredibly frustrating...
  10. I have been gluten free, along with my whole family, for 14 months now. After going gluten free my nightly horrible stomach pains and D stopped, but a few things got worse and some new symptoms popped up. It is getting to the point that my husband and I cannot live like this anymore, he works all day and still has to come home and do everything. I went to...
  11. Tonight I'm making carmelized onion meatloaf, it will be the first time for me making meatloaf since going gluten free and the first time the my 2 year old will ever have it so I am hoping that she likes it (fingers crossed).
  12. I am attempting to read P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern, I loved the movie so I am seeing how the book compares, then there are a bunch of new James Patterson books on request at our library. I don't watch many movies except for when a new one based off a Nicholas Sparks book comes out. As far as television though, my family is big on police shows. Our...
  13. Tonight I am making ribs, baked potatoes and cole slaw from the Gluten Free Goddess Snappy Crunchy Cole Slaw with no mayo
  14. I hope your finger heals really quickly! And have a wonderful vacation.
  15. I just wanted to post and say that I found a great mayo for those of us who are soy free, Hellman's mayo made with canola oil (yellow jar) has the same texture and tastes almost identical to original Hellman's.
  16. I have seen that probiotic recommended alot on the boards here, although I have no experience personally with probiotics. I also haven't used advil, but I do have experience with the vitafusion...my children did great taking the ones made by that company for kids although I personally could not take the multi because of the sugar in it (made my stomach hurt...
  17. Culterelle makes a powder one for kids to mix into things.
  18. Welcome to the board! As far as growing, my daughter was 15 months when we figured out her food problems and at the time she was 17 lbs 5 oz and 23 in long, she is now 30 lbs and 32 1/2 in long (that is in 14 months). She started showing signs of improvement within a few days of going gluten free although it did take longer then that for all her symptoms...
  19. We're having a simple chicken risotto for dinner tonight.
  20. What a selection!!! That sounds amazing.
  21. That sounds like a nice set up. Fresh veggies are the best, I'm lucky since even if we don't grow it there are 2 farm stands within 3 miles of us so we can still get fresh.
  22. It was a very strange winter this year. We bought a tomato plant that just stays in it's large pot, I tried planting one our first year and got one cherry sized tomato the whole year, but last year we got probably 100.
