go straight to your nearest er and tell them what happened, when the benadryl wears off, and even over the next 48 hrs you are at risk of a second reaction and given what housewife it could be anaphylactic. If your er won't help call your doc immediately, you need to prescribed an epi pen.
I have an anaphylactic child and it is amazing how quickly thinks can escalate
push your doc to get youin to an allergist, don't take no for an answer, once you have a reaction to something this serious you need your IgE levels tested and testing for all the top allergens, our daughter turned out to be allergic to milk eggs and 2 strains of antiniotic
-
if you have caesin issues double check the ingredients on all soy cheeses, I Know in Canada lots of soy cheeses have Cardin in them, we gave a daughter who has an anaphylactic reaction to Caesin
-
whitespot has introduced a gluten free menu, andtrained all the staff. We took our gluten free dairy free egg free 3 yr old out for dinner, the staff in Martindale Vancouver are amazing. The chef messed up, and instead of just picking bits off, they redid our daughter's food, and didn't charge us for it, andeven gave her a free hello! They were aware of cc issues as well. We thanked the manager personally, our first positive eating out experience

when my 3 yr old is feeling bad all she eats is rice, actually, you should boil some rice tillit
turns to mush, use stock instead of water, you'll have congee! My Chinese mother in law swears by it when people aren't feeling good and it really works
also water with a little piece of ginger in it, ginger is great for your digestive system, if you believe everything my mother in law says, it cures EVERYTHING
-
you'll need to teach het to be an advocate for herself, my daughter who has just turned 3 will refuse food politely from people, we want her yo learn now so when she is older its just part of life and not a big deal
-
3yr olds are pretty smart, smarter than we think, we explained to my daughter who was 2 yrs 9 months at theorem that there was something in her food called gluten and it was hurting her insides, if she kept eating it she wouldn't grow and bet really sick. We told her she was going to have to change some of Stickings she ate. We told what thinks shereally liked that she could still have. She just does if we you,d find gluten free pasta so she could still have mac and cheese (vegan and gluten free), we said yes. Her response "okay". No tears or anything
our daughter also has an anaphylactic reaction to milk and eggs, she knows she can't eat it our and needs her "shot" (epi pen)
I know its not quite the same situation but she is at an age where she does you understand a lot, if you exp,ain it to her as clearly and simply as you can, you will probably find she is okay with it, there may be a few tears at first, but she needs to understand, because she is going to have to be an advocate for herself. At Christmas someone tried to over my 3 yr old ice cream, she told them no thank you I'm allergic to milk, I stop breathing. And at her best friends birthday the staff at the venue put a piece of cake down in front of her, she waited till he was gone and called me over and whispered to me to change it for her cake, no fuss, no panic, just part of life
-
I'd ask them to do the blood tests for allergies, if she can't swallow when she has a reaction you Ned to push for an epi pen junior
when my little ones are cc they definitely seem to get sicker, my 3 yr old just couldn't shake a cold, usually she is over it in 2 days
I font understand why skin test are used for food allergies your skin isn't your gut! Our ped is great he listens, we kept getting told our daughter was so small as I am and her dad is Chinese, gluten free she grew 1 inch in a month now, AMD went from a size 7.5 shoe to a 9
if you aren't happy with the doc just keep pushing,
have you tried dairy alternatives besides neocate? Our daughter even reacted to that, hemp milk is great,
have they checked her for EE? That can cause swelling and milk protein is a common reactant
good luck at your appointment, we go back to our GI in march about a swelling in her tummy, this idiot toldus even though she has celiac genes and all her symptoms including enamel defects, rashes she just had nerve damage and to give her zantac and hugs
we went gluten free against his wishes and he is going to be very annoyed!
-
with her having a fever, it may even have been a tummy bug, last time my daughter had 1 she had the exact things your daughter did
if her throat is seeking from dairy, get in to see an allergist and gether IgE levels done, or skin testing (although skin testing isn't always accurate) throat swelling is an allergic response, next time she may go into anaphylactic shock, don't give her any dairy until you have been given the all clear by an allergist, if your ped says you don't need to see one demand one
my daughter has an anaphylactic reaction to milk, it statrs with throat swelling although other people are different

so delicious has coconut milk yogurt, my 3 yr old would est the whole tub
sunflower seed butter, actually any seed, put in a blender with a little bit of olive oil, make your own high protein high good fat spread
so delicious has coconut milk beverage , use to make smoothies, usethe unsweetened and make your own soups
they also have ice cream that is sooooooooooo good
hemp milk has lots of omega 3
make your own olive oil based salad dressings
tahini and hummus are great with raw veg,
add water to the tahini to get the desired consistency and use with chicken and salad rolled up in a gluten-free tortilla
our daughters dietician suggested these, plus eat protein at every meal, and eat every 2 hours
-
the website kidshealth.org is great, also my sister in law found a book, the gluten free kid, its about a 9 ? Yr old with celiac, we read it to my niece so she understands what is going on with her cousins, she just turned 7 and she understood it
contact your local celiac group too
when the time comes for the cooknook , my sister in law gave me the best ever recipe for peanut butter cookies that are gluten dairy and egg free, my daughter didn't get to eat many everyone else ate them, I cook a lot with my 3 yr old so we have some recipes if you eant
-
it was explained to me that once you eliminated gluten your body sometimes takes a while to 'turn off' the response to gluten, it's so used to being in that state, so autoimmune system does what it does best ...... Go crazy. My 1 yr old always has rashes and colds, her body just doesn't know what to do with itself now the dreaded gluten has gone
-
my daughter was constipated, we thought she was having diarrhea turns out it was stuff 'leaking round the sides' since going gluten-free she is a lot better, still constipated but nit the point where she is bloated even get underwear doesn't fit. Our doc said her howls is probably stretched out so will need Miramax for a dew months to lighten over, shrink back and the muscles to tighten back up.
-
my daughter was constipated and has been on laxatives on and off for 18 months, we were lucky that our original gastro was wise enough go know that celiac can cause constipation, she is still constipated gluten free but not to the degree the wad before
dairy can cause constipation, my daughter's friend gets constipated if she eats cheese
-
she had fun shopping for new runners, she even chose the same ones for her cousin! Her baby sister dropped from the 50th % to 25% on the growth charts between 6 and 9 months, she went gluten-free because it was easier and she has suddenly sprouted and lost her eczema, I'm so glad relatives bought them both clothes for Christmas and their recent birthdays
-
the head of the gastro dept said our daughter had no issue with gluten and to keep her on a normal diet, we ignored the moron and in the last 2 weeks she has gone from a 7.5 to 9 in shoes and grown 1 inch!
-
protein at every meal is good, our dietician told us it helps regulate blood sugar, and helps you feel full, try giving meat at breakfast as well, or nuts, if my daughter has waffles and peanut butter she stays full for few hours
-
I went to the expo, the organisers were stunned at how many people turned up. We managed to get information leaflets to give to my daughter's pre school.
my 3 yr old proudly handed over her tinkyada pasta and announced its mine bug you can have it
there seemed to be as many boxes going out as people coming in
-
hemp milk is good, also try becel vegan margarine, of fleischmanns
daiya does shredded cheeses that is vegan, gluten and soy free
enjoy life brand has products that are guaranteed free of the top allergens
ask for a federal to a dietician, we are in Canada and after our daughter had a horrific reaction to milk we were instantly issued with 2 epipens and dates for a dietician and allergist
we are gluten, milk egg and soy free' when booking all you do is replace the milk with non dairy, butter with dairy free margarine, and eggs with apple sauce if sweet things, egg replacer or ground flax in savoury
google flour conversions and you'll get ways to substitute flour
I first freaked out and sometimes it seems she is always eating the same stuff but the is eating so at least that's good!

feeling so bad, made spaghetti for dinner last night, made normal noodles for me (trying to use them up, on a tight budget, can't afford to throw out food!), and made her own, in her an pan,own dish etc. Pug her plate down on table where she was sitting put mine on the other side, theorem baby woke up, told her repeatable I went to get her sister. Sensations and started wait g mine, she stepson much. Within 2 hours her "eczema" that had disappeared came back with vengeance, she is so miserable, was restless last night, and has barely eaten, wouldn't even eat things she normally begs for, I feel so bad, going to doctor tomorrow, as G I insists she has no bourgeoisie, and doctor wants a record of every thing that could be gluten related to pass on book g this doctor might pull his head out of his ass and get us the reversal to the people we need to see to make sure she is healthy and keep her thatway
-
fruit or veg and dip is usually a good, or if you want to buy something, try the enjoy life brand, they have cookies, and cookie bars, kind of expensive, but the apple cinnamon bars are so sweet you could probably cut them into 5 or you snack size pieces and no-one who,d mind
-
my daughter was positive genes, negative blood, and WAS doing great diet wise, so was given a tentative diagnosis of celiac and or nerve damage to her bowel.
I have negative blood, vintage been wait g gluten lite as I don't eat gluten around my daughter bandage noticed I feel enter so has my husband
-
I'd find another dentist, we go to a group who are fantastic, one of the first questions they asked was if she had allergies. We told them she was being investigated for celiac another checked everything! And even though she has grown out of her latex allergy they still use latex free gloves just in case. Every visit they ask if there have been any changes. Mydauhhterloves you g, she asks to go every time we pass the office, which is everyday she goes to preschool!
-
and now she has started with random nosebleeds, the dietician said take to the emergency department at the kids hospital, but everything we go for anything they tell us she has a virus, her baby sister had a bad allergic reaction, and was covered I. Hives that disappeared when they gave her benadryl birthday apparently was a virus too!

please please don't eat pecans by themselves to see if you are allergic, with that severe of a reaction your next reaction could be fatal, please please please call your doc our go to your local hospital, my daughter has what they call a bounce back reaction, and it is worse than the first , plus cooking nuts changes the composition slightly, so in turn lessening your reaction, a pecan on its own will be a much worse reaction if that is what you're allergic too
(I know this seems like scare tactics, but I've been there done that and got the t-shirt in regards to my 3 yr old!)
