  1. @chocominties...to prevent the bread being mushy when microwaving, DO NOT lay bread flat in the microwave. The bread needs to stand to let the steam evaporate. When the bread lays on a plate the steam becomes trapped making the bread mushy. Lean the bread against a cup or something on a plate, while microwaving. try not overheat abt 30 sec is good (give or...
  2. Boy we really love this sabatasso pizza but damn the calories, sodium & fat cld send me into cardiac arrest! I eat a mere 1/8 n stop. Luckily my kids are underweight n young so they do quite well with it. And 2 for $12 u cant be that!! Not sure if theres a pepperoni version but if there is my costco doesnt have it. We have to add it ourselves. no big...
  3. My Aldi In Tamarac FL has started selling gluten-free food again. YAY!
  4. Kids n I just tried Sabatasso gluten-free pizza. PRETTY DAMN GOOD! Vey cheesy. And the price is reasonable. About the size of a regular small pizza, and it costs $12 for a 2pk. Just sent my son to buy a few boxes!! FRESHETTA also has decent gluten-free pizza but it costs $15 for 2 that you can get at some BJ's. I'd rather get the Sabatasso's at COSTCO...
  5. greenbeenie we tried shar a few yrs ago. Kids did not like it at all. Unless they'v improved it, not gonna retry it. My DS will eat Udi's pizza crust, and DD used to but she won't anymore.
  6. While in Publix I discovered AGAINST THE GRAIN gourmet pizza for $9.99. Rather pricey I thought but it was a full size small pizza so I took the plunge n bought it for my DD. the crust was kinda thick n it was scattered with about 9-10 pepperoni slices. It looked pretty good, decent amt of cheese. VERDICT: has a weird taste! Thought it was the cheese...
  7. i hope they have it at my costco
  8. My DD did not like the pizza but did like the brownie cookies. And she is very particular abt cookies so its a good sign. Alas, I went to Aldi (7 mts from me) today & the gluten-free offerings are all but GONE! I snagged 2 bags of glutinos pretzels for $2.50 ea. They usually sell for over $5 elsewhere. The cashier told me the gluten-free line was...
  9. Ive never seen gluten-free pizza at costco. I"ll have to look next time. Is it the house brand KIRKLAND?
  10. Well my visit was Phili was short lived n extremely hectic. We only managed to go to 1 pizza joint and 1 bakery, SWEET FREEDOM. The goodies there are absolutely fabulous especially the chocolate chip cookie sandwich filled with cream n dipped iin chocolate OMG!! so-o-o-o good!!!!! but very expensive like $4.50. The Pizza place we went to is called Bianca...
  11. The kids are very willing to try it Irishheart. Do you recall how much the 2 pk costs at BJ's?
  12. My friend in Miami just told me she saw FRESHETTA gluten-free pizza in a triple pack @ BJ's. Has anyone tried it or has anybody seen it available in other stores? I didn't know freshetta is now making gluten-free offerings. they make decent regular pizza so I expect the gluten-free version to be decent as well.
  13. Heres the link. I saw it this morning, sad but true.... Open Original Shared Link
  14. one day I ordered the gluten-free pizza and was waiting for it. After15 mts the cashier summons me over to apologize..they THOUGHT they had the gluten-free pizza but they ran out & it was on back order. I was pissed! I then spoke to the manager and he offered me a gluten-free cupcake for my inconveinance. So I brought it home to my dghtr, and it was DISGUSTING...
  15. Hey GlutenStinks..I'll be going to Phili in Jun as well. A place called Uncle oogies looks good! There are 3 locations. Taffetts bakery seems good to n they provide breads, rolls, crust to other gluten-free establishments. I'd love for my kids to have a Phili cheesesteak on a gluten-free roll. I m going the beginning of Jun and if I remember I'll post...
  16. Dghtr said it was good but of corse taste is a subjective thing. And Yes they did it right.
  17. I have finally seen the Tyson gluten-free Tenders at Publix. However they are more expensive than the perdue at $7.89 and the pkg is smaller than perdues. I will try them if & when they go on sale.
  18. They should make a family size pizza that would be more economical. gluten-free moms need to eat too. My dghtr said the pizza is very small & had to order 2. She is nt a big eater. So $12 to feed 1 person pizza is very high. I can only afford this 1x in awhile.
  19. ****NEWSFLASH***** CHUCK E CHEESE has gluten-free pizza, & cupcakes !!! My dghtr just had the pizza & said it's great! She was in Miami. I ( as well as many of you) knew that they were testing the market in one state last yr but I had no idea that ithe gluten-free items were available in other CEC,The pizza was completely separate in it's...
  20. thx corden I hope they aren't too expensive
  21. At my local publix I saw a package of gluten-free wraps by Toufayan by the deli area. I did nit buy them as no price tag was visible plus I have 1/2 pkg of Goodbye Gluten wwraps in fridge & a full 1 in the freezer but as soon as those are gone I will try the Toufayan Has anybody had these wraps yet?
  22. I realized the after the 1st (or 2nd ) time that by following the cooking directions exactly the perdue tenders weren't crispy enough. I cook them longer now & the kids like them much better. The bags says to cook at 425 for 9-11 mts, but cooking them for 16 mts yeilds a crispier tender w/o burning them. I also turn them over 1/2 way thru, and use...
  23. i bought the perdue gluten-free nuggets, just average(kinda bland) according to kids. But they are much cheaper than Ian's or Applefarms. Not bad when you need a quick meal.
  24. My non celiac friend who suffers from fibromyalia uses cymbalta & it does help her quite a bit. Not sure if it helps with CRPS, but her pain is everywhere, and she does get relief. She also recently started seeing the most fantastic phys therapist as well & has come off lidocaine patches due to his treatment. He is a needle in a haystack as she tried...
  25. You are welcome! When non- cookers like me find a simple & delicious recipe it is only fair to share with others who also may be culinary challenged. Well as promised I made this ziti again tonight with less garlic, more meat (close to 1 lb) & I also cut the ricotta down to about 4oz. (not a fan) and I used a different sauce Bertolli ,5 cheese...
