  1. UPDATE: met new doc today. She believes the pins and needles pain I have in my feet is from the bulging discs in my back. Also, in reviewing my records she told me she doesn't think I am diabetic. They ran more tests but she thinks that when I did the herbal liver cleanse 2 years ago it impaired the function of my pancreas and made me hyper-sensative to sugar...
  2. Found this article and wanted to share, I found this man's personal discovery to be very interesting: Open Original Shared Link
  3. Just wanted to add something else benficial I found that I am relating to the tea. I have tight muscles and connective tissues in my legs and shoulders. My physical therapist keeps telling me I need to find the reason. I get a deep tissue massage 1-2 times a month and every time is painful, to a the point of near tears....not something I look fwd to but understand...
  4. NCDave, as long s I do not eat any carbs I avoid inflammation which does include corn....keeping this up though every single day is not easy and I will have rice or potatoes or gluten-free pizza. The nettle tea that I drink keeps the inflammation away and I no longer have the ringing in my ears or the tight feeling in my toes and fingers if I have a little...
  5. Does anyone here have any of these symptoms? Did you connect them to nerve damage from gluten? Have you had any improvement? I have been gluten-free for 1 1/2 years and these are the last of my symptoms and have had just about every test that could be ran (with the exception of MS) to try and eliminate anything else. I was suffering real bad sciatic...
  6. GottaSki, let us know how it works for you, that joint pain is no fun!
  7. LOL!!!!
  8. Peg, are you eating any grains or sugar right now? I made a connection, it took me 1 1/2 years but what I found is that if I ate grains (rice and corn) or sugar I would get buzzing in my ears. I had it nonstop and I tried going off eggs, avoiding soy, I was dairy-free for a year and it did not change anything for me. I wasn't getting completely better and...
  9. LOL! Wish cures were that fast ;-) I noticed a difference after a cup daily for a week. I gave some to a couple different friends a bit younger, nonceliac, dealing with an achy knee and another with heavy monthly female issues which this is supposed to help.....they steeped the tea for 5 minutes which I don't think I could have drank.....I steep 1-2 minutes...
  10. It's been a long journey, docs have been very little help and basically I have had to experiemnt and just try to see if things will work, have done alot of reading, this one I was excited about because it actually did something positive for me! Bea had suggested a few months ago but my body was a bit too broken at the time for me to know what was helping...
  11. IrishHeart, please let me know what you results are if you decide to try it. I have been very pleased!
  12. Yes, I bought it from Amazon in bag form. It tastes like grass but really if you are having inflammation issues I highly suggest it.
  13. Gary'sGirl, I have not had any double vision in maybe over a year but still having blurred vision. Have done some experimenting and it seems the blur is coming from one eye and not the other so I am wondering if perhaps the two eyes are not focusing together properly??? I plan to go to an optomologist. I still have issues with my nerves.....numbness below...
  14. Wanted to share this....I have been on a gluten-free diet for 1 1/2 years but for the longest time still having issues.....something in my body was being attacked randomly like a wild fire. I went completely grain free, sugar free 6 months ago and FINALLY after over a year the buzzing in my ears went away. If I did have any corn or rice I noticed my hands...
  15. I was having digestive issues, then become very tired- sleeping 10-12 hours a day. I knew I was under alot of stress with a family situation but I could not seem to get better. Thinking perhaps my metabolism might be sluggish I did a liver cleanse. Oh boy, what a mistake....this was just before I turned 48. I was a mess!!!!! Not only had the liver cleanse...
  16. Thank you for the replies. My physical therapist mentioned that my connective tissues were abnormally tight and she suggested stretching which I have done. Doc suggested yoga and I think it is worth a try. I will look up the cuprum metallicum, as I need some relief. I didn't realize you could have sciatica in the arm.....I really hope that is not my issue...
  17. For those who have had the tests and come up empty handed, docs not knowing why you have nerve damage, I need some advise. I have been on a gluten-free diet for 1 1/2 years and have improved greatly but my nerves have not. Have any of you done something, taken something that worked?? Please share, I am open ears. I went to doc today because I yet a new...
  18. Anyone else here have these issues before going off gluten? I did, and not had any issues since. I definately want to hear a doc's opinion on this and see what their approach will be but it has been my experience that if this is a reaction to gluten they are not going to be aware. I am not sure doc's even consider problems asociated with gluten.
  19. Before I went gluten-free I was having issues with a feeling of hairs on skin that were not there or bugs crawling on my skin that were also were not there. That all passed being on the diet and staying away from wheat. Now my husband is having the same issue. Anyone know the reason for this? Husband says he wants to talk to his doc before going on a...
  20. The first year I was gluten-free I was very very sensative to alcohol. It felt like the alcohol was going directly to my veins so I had to be very careful. I figured it was because my system was so tore up, I was in pretty bad condition. Little by little as my gut healed and my body mended I was able to have some wine or a margarita. I have been gluten-free...
  21. I was unable to drink coconut milk because of the gums and carrageenan which are additive they put an many dairy products to make them creamier. Whip cream and ice cream have them too. Canned coconut milk without these additive might be worth a try for you, I was able to drink it.
  22. No worries.....I have been on several crusies. The wait staff in the private dining rooms will go out of their way for you, just ask. The buffets are huge and have a wonderful selection. There will be more than enough to eat and you will not have to go without. Enjoy your trip!
  23. The way inwhich I ws glutened was more my fault because I knew better and took a chance. We were traveling, in a small airport and I had nothing with me to eat. My friends saw sandwished which I ruled out immediately but they convinced me I could take the chees ena meat off and be okay. Like I said, I knew better and I paid the price. I do think it would...
  24. Thanks Raven, very good advise and I think that is exactly what I ned to do.
