  1. Are you taking a good quality probiotic? I too caught everything that came along until I started on probiotics. That made a big difference for me.
  2. Ataxia was one of my worst symptoms with the exception of nueropathy. I was dizzy everyday, all day for 9 months, like you explained being unsteady to walk and feel like you could fall over. It took REALLY cleaning up my diet and any chance of CC. I had to dig into every product I used to find the wheat.....I found it in my cooking spray, changed my chapstick...
  3. Interesting, had not heard about the movie. I live in the K-town area, about 20 minutes from downtown.
  4. If differs for each person depending how progressed you were when you went on a gluten-free diet and how strict you are with your diet. Personally, I had to get all my vits in order as well. It is a slow progression and there are days I have slight relapses which I have not quite figured out. I am 11 months into a gluten-free diet and I can tell you my brain...
  5. Town without pity? Why is this? Are you previous military?
  6. Personally, I prefer to work with rice flour. When making anything that has to stick together though like noodles and cookies I use half pizza crust flour which has the xanthan gum in it, and half rice flour. If you find your daughter is still having issues with a feeling of a sick stomach, it could be the xanthan gum, sometimes it bothers people especially...
  7. Do I ever hear ya! This has been so frustrating for me. I have one doc who keeps my vits tested, tells me to do what I am doing. Then the other doc that disagrees with the celiac diagnosis but can't tell me what the problem is who tells me I don't need to take vits. Following the second docs advise really had me hurting recently. I am just now getting some...
  8. Article written by Dr Anna Kaplan At the current time, most adults with undiagnosed celiac disease seek medical care because of atypical symptoms, and often do not have the usual intestinal complaints previously thought to occur in all celiac patients. Sometimes, the first problem that presents itself is in the nervous system. A wide variety of neurologic...
  9. Always thought this was a rather safe place to live. Received word last night an older man shot and killed 2 docs in the village next to us. From the Berlin news: Open Original Shared Link
  10. Not sure what they were before the cleanse. However, I do know I had to have my creatinine levels checked before they could do an MRI of my brain and the were fine. I did notify the company, and places I know of that sold the product I have posted my experience in their feedback. I did contact a company that does experimental testing and product reviews...
  11. Bea, good that some things seem to be working for you too. I had to stop the nattokinase. Something was making my heart beat harder and at the time this had been my only change. I stopped taking it and my heart went back to normal. I am drinking a cup of nettle tea daily. What problems were you having with the Biotin? I have not noticed any issues. Here...
  12. Bea, I did take the high oxalates out of my diet and was awre of possible dumping so have been real careful not to take them all out completely at once and I think that is all going well actually. I don't know if you saw my update on my burning, itching scalp but doc I had an allergic reaction to an ingredient in a hairspray I used in Nov. Nothing I tried...
  13. Skylark thanks, I did not even think of the liver being depleted because of the cleanse but I bet you are dead on with that as I was not having these issues before I did the liver cleanse. The product was Elemis and it is recommended to take a different bottle of tabs (2 a day) for 3 months. I was told to drink plenty of water or crystals could for in the...
  14. Thanks Raven! There is so much I don't understand and if anyone has the answers please feel free to chime in here. I read a book on nueropathy and the various types, the various supplements for it. When I followed the book I felt real good but I guess I question myself because I had no doc to tell me this was my issue so all of this has been like a stab in...
  15. Curious here for those who have had nueropathy issues as to what you have tried that helped? Did lab tests show vit deficiencies? Are you supplementing without knowing whether you were deficient, and is it working? Did you see a nuerologist and have tests ran? Any other reasons why you could have nueropathy.....back problems, etc? My doc does not want...
  16. Another thing that is not uncommon while pg is gestational diabetes. I had it with my 3rd child, made me quite sick. My iron levels were too low and my bllood sugar too high, not a good combo. Iron supplements and taking carbs out of my diet helped alot.
  17. I was reading about a lady's personal experience with Reynaud's. She was forced to wash her hair and do dishes in cold water due to her temp living situation. To all of us that sounds like a nightmare but what she found out is that after doing this repeatedly it actually helped her hands adjust nd she could tolerate the cold better. I was actually thinking...
  18. Wonderful! The squat toilets still exist in Italy as well. Lived there for 2 years and even some of the nice restaurants had squat toilets. Glad you had a god time. One place that's on my list to visit!!
  19. The pain I was having in my bladder was some very strange intense crapping which started higher and moved into the bladder. I had never had it before. I have been off the antobiotics for the infection but bladder is still tender if touched. I have had a trailing effect before with stones where I could feel this awful pain running a line over the hips bones...
  20. UPDATE: finally got in to see Derm! He thinks the burning in the scalp was due to an allergic reaction to something in the new hairspray that I used in Nov. The dandruff shampoo was able to take away the inflamation however the itch remained. He said it can take months for these issues to resolve themselves as many times whatever caused the problem in the...
  21. UPDATE: Wen to Women's health and the symptoms that my primary doc have been questioning as menopausal symptoms, she beleives are actually problems in my back so I am going to have a full back work up. She gave me a clean bill of health.
  22. Thanks for that info Badgerette, it is worth a try!
  23. Hi Laura, I have a 26 year histoy with stones, not so fun as you well know. 2 weeks ago I alos was having just like you described, just terrible cramping in the bladder and flank pain, both sides. Doc ran a culture on my urine, said it was contaminated and gave me a prescript for a week. The cramping and urgency in the bladder went away in that week but flank...
  24. Yes, this was believed to be what it was initially. I did all kinds of tests.....blood work, 24 hour urine, bone scan, scan on parathyroid. What they concluded was the parathyroid was healthy. Blood work and scan showed no issues. When I went gluten-free my calcium went from hyper to borderline hypo. I have had the parathyroids rechecked, blood work redone...
  25. Some good news in all of this......urologist did recommend a low oxalate diet but told me not to go over-board. My existing (lodged) stones have not grown. He actually thinks something else is irritating the kidney itself. When I went thru this battle in my 20's it was the chlorination in the water that gave me issues. Here in Germany I am told they don't...
