    Agreed! I always speak up to the server and make sure we're on the same page but in the end it's on me. I made the conscious decision to eat out, so I live and learn. I have a favorite, dependable spot in my hometown, the chef is a friend and he knows his stuff! I wish everyone had a favorite like that, and although its trendy, more and more gluten-free spots...

    Tomorrow is birthday supper with my whole family, and I'm so excited because it's my birthday! (Which means I get to choose our meal) The menu is: Steaks, potatoes, onions, and asparagus on the grill, YUMMMM....and for dessert, flourless chocolate cake! I can't wait! Haha

    Just a thought, do you still have your gallbladder? A lot of times gallbladder disease is the culprit of abd issues.

    Aleia's has a great savory stuffing mix, and then I add to it. Some butter, celery, onions, garlic, mushrooms and sausage. I actually stick to my Mom's recipe, I just substitute the gluten-free stuffing mix. Very tasty!! ?? As for dessert, it was mincemeat pie- gluten-free crust ofcourse. Yummm this makes me hungry!!!!

    It's almost fall here in Northern Maine, leaves are changing, the air is crisp, nightfall comes earlier, and I've managed to get tonsilitis, yet again...it should be a national holiday after all of these years, my contracting tonsilitis marks the beginning of fall and spring each year, how awesome...not. ??     I, myself, am much more sensitive to alcohol since going gluten free. I also noticed quite quickly when I first started going gluten free that I could drink and not feel a thing for quite sometime(atleast 3 drinks worth) and then it would hit me all at once. I now limit myself to 2 gluten-free beers and I'm done lol it's the best plan for me, then I'm not...

    I always go and take my own food, no one has cared yet. Also, I always like to see the boys "fight" over who's going to eat my cake haha, this has become a game to them, it starts as soon as the reception starts haha...and if there's good food I can't eat, that's fair game to them as well!! It's all in good fun, besides, I'm there to celebrate my friends...

    I've got to check Dallas out! I used to watch it with my mom when I was younger and she was sooo excited to hear it was coming back lol maybe this would make good mother/daughter time!

    I wanted to hate The Vampire Diaries, BUT the exact opposite has happened to me!?!? I've been watching season one on Netflix and I'm beyond addicted....anyone else absolutely in love with this show??? Haha I get nothing done now, except watch Vampire Diaries....

    I use a mix called "Favorite Sandwich Bread". It's pretty good, I mix it in my bread machine but cook it in the oven. Sometimes I'll cook it in my Whoopie pie pan for hamburger buns!

    It's good to hear the positive experiences! I have to agree, it's nice to have a place you can go and not feel singled out, "normal", whatever that is, is what I always strived for, I don't mind attention but not because of what I'm eating! ??

    I used to love the OG too, but haven't been in a couple years, since going gluten-free. I think my biggest concern would be cc...oh the joys of eating out haha ?
