"I think one of thier favorites is that envelopes have wheat glue ( myth") Oh my this is not true? I've been dabbing at my envelopes for months... "Just wondering where everyone gets their glutening pain. Mine is pretty low and feels sort of like period cramps but worse" Yes that's what mine feels like. The morning after I eat something I shouldn't for dinner, there it is. But I think that is what made it hard to connect it to my diet for a long time, it felt like "woman problems".

The hardest part for me is...no beer! I have adjusted to all of the new foods with no problems at all, but my favorite summer treat used to be Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat beer, which I obviously can't have any more! When I would buy this special seasonal beer on the first warm day of the year, it really felt like summer. I still have some in my fridge... -

For lunch today: Spaghetti squash with a sort of tomatoey/sour creamy sauce that I made up with stuff in my fridge LOL. Good stuff! Gonna use the rest of the squash to try making the Squash Fritters they did on The Chew today. They used an egg/flour batter. Do you think it will work to just substitute cracker crumbs or something? -

LOL @ Silk...I haven't had good experiences eating out so far. The only place I've tried to eat is Boston Market. I tell them, "No cornbread on my plate, I'm allergic", when I place my order, and the order taker says, "No problem!" And then my plate comes out with cornbread on it. "Agreed!!! all of the gluten-free Chex flavors-- especially the Chocolate, Cinnamon, and Honey Nut-- are all regulars at my house for breakfast, snack, or dessert (and yes, sometimes dinner, too!!)" Just a simple apple with peanut butter and black coffee. I count my blessings that I can have peanut butter. I think a peanut allergy would be far harder to live with than a gluten intolerance. -

For a cold rainy day: Hormel Turkey Chili, I was so happy to find some canned chili that is gluten and soy free, wonder of wonders! Mixed with some canned corn and rotel tomatoes, with some tortilla chips on top. Bob's cornbread on the side.
