  1. Okay so we found out in the other thread that my wimpy 20cent/ea yogurt only has TWO live cultures in it, so since we on anti-botics here right now, what normal-store findable (Esply a Krogers!) brands are gluten-free and good? I do not want plain*ewww!), perfer flavored with fruit. Thanks!
  2. Welp just got back from my grocery store, and I dug throught al thei boxes. The newest boxes on the shefl have an expry date of AUG 2006 and still list gluten in the ingredients for both Trix and Cocoa Puff. Those of you that have gluten-free cocoa puffs, what is the date on the box top? thanks!
  3. Okay how can old stock have gluten, and new stock not have gluten AND there be no changes???
  4. So it seems that so far ONLY NJ has the new gluten-free Cocoa Puffs and Trix??? Is that what I am reading here? That sounds sucusipoously like a test market, so you have to buy LOTS AND LOTS to convince them to sell it everywhere!
  5. This si a PERFECT example of how the sill auto replace of C D messes up posts
  6. Sorry, but when I read your post I could easly see a 3rd party to our discusion skiming by and reading your post as stating that. Becuase of that I felt I needed ot realy drive home the point that while oats by nature do not contain the exact same protien, in US at least, they are all (to best of anyones ability to test) contimainated with gluten from wheat...
  7. Prbly why its 5/$1 !
  8. You missuderstand the debate then. IF you could find PURE oats, then you would not find gluten, however some celiacs still react that is where the deabate comes from. The problem is you can NOT find pure oats, and all the oats are contimated with wheat gluten. Read: Please do not give anyone the idea that Oats are safe, THEY ARE NOT.
  9. OATS are bad. Oats contain wheat gluten from the plant, and they have a very simular protien to wheat which in some celaics gives the same reaction. So they are bad on two fronts. I am sorry but if any doc told you oats is good, he is not very knowledable about celiac disease.
  10. The Cocoa puffs might be, acording to the info in this thread they are realeasing a new version of it, but while old stock is out ther you will have alot of conflicting answers on it. It would be very cool if other brands have changed their forumals too, and I will take your list to the store hopefull to day and see what my boxes show, just ot be sure. ...
  11. Last I checked Captian crunch was NOT safe. Are you sure you checked for all the sores of gluten, Rye, Wheat, Barly, Malt, Oats, and anything dervied there from? My last trip through the cerals showed ONLY Fruity/Cocoa pebbles safe in the mainstream cerals.
  12. I am not a doctor, nor do I prentend to be one, however I have a degree in statistics and this gives me a better understanding of testing and test results then problably most doctors. The Biopsy, IMO, is a poor diagnostic tool. It can only CONFIRM celiac disease, it can never, ever, under no known conditions ever rule out celiac disease. This means you...
  13. 6?? 4??? Mine here lists TWO L. Acidphilus and B. Bifdum Does that mean I got sucky yogurt?

  15. Sorry missed that you actualy had a box! THough you were just reporting that you heard someone else had a box. Grr I will keep watching....
  16. Yea and Trix also listed "Flour" in the begining. It be cool if this rumor is true, but so far no one here has seen any sign of it.
  17. Thats from Foldgers.
  18. Are teh boxes labled "New improved" or anything?
  19. Its likely that most of that 7000 never come here anymore. Its fairly typical for ppl to sign up, hang out for a short bit then fade away. Some boards actively trim thier user lists to keep the numbers realistic, but Scott does not appear to, nor does he appear to do anything about the artificaly inflated online user count (most of that number is spiders...
  20. Whats wrong with craving chocolate?
  21. No, it is NOT safe to eat. Sorry. Gluten Free means NO Wheat, NO Rye, NO Barly, NO Malt, NO Oats, and nothing that is derived from that list.
  22. AS OF YESTERDAY Cocoa puffs and Trix BOTH STILL HAVE GLUTEN in them. I checked both their site, and the boxes in the stores. Sorry, but I am having a hard time believing this info you recieved.
  23. Heck I was diagnosed with TWO non-postive bisopy's. Be happy and gald that you got a doc that understands celiac disease well enough to skip the UNRELIABLE biospy.
  24. There is one very good reason NOT to make a gluten-free cake in secret... some ppl are alergic to stuff like RICE and since a gluten-free cake would have ingredents like RICE in it that would not be in a normal cake, it could be dangerous to serve it since no one outside of the gluten-free world would consider rice in a "normal" cake as much of a possiblity...
  25. "gluten safe"?!? BAH, why make up new names for it?
