    ARCHIVED Sugar

Not all sugar is created equal THere are differecnces bettween say the sugar in a strawberry and the sugar in a cookie. I wont go in to that here, since Im a bit presed for time .. but Im sure someone will if you want to know. The simple way is to aviod the worst stuff. I personally aviod the white powdered/bleached/highly proccess stuff whenever...
  5. Yea, what concerns me is it says "manufatured FOR Hershey" not "BY"... its only 1 lolyop prbly better to sell it on ebay I guess
  6. Thats why its a rule of thumb... and not the first law of celiac disease
  7. Thanks for all the comments. I guess it realy comes down to wiating this stage out best we can....
  8. OKay some one gave my son a jolly rancher lollypop , and I know taht Jolly roger is a divison of Hershey, and I think that KatiaUSA siad that Hershey is a good company... but does that hold true for thier stuff that says "Mfd in Canada for Hershey Foods Corporation"?
  9. The rule of thumb that pplies here best is "if the word wheat appears in the ingredinents, its bad"
  10. I use slpenda all the time, and yes its gluten-free. I just bought some minute maid... I hope its almost as good at least.
  11. Our Toddler (23 months old) is getting his "2 year molars" and sticks EVERYTHING in his mouth. Stuff like bird seed he finds on he ground in the nieghbors yard, rocks from the street, etc. In fact the only way to get him to not put it in his mouth is to put it on a plate and call it dinner. He got gluten some how over the weekend and we are just coming...
  12. OKay I have to ask.... why bother? You already know that some Celiacs are bothered by "pure" oats, you know that most oats are conitmated wtih gluten, and even the above compnay will not calim thier oats are not contiminated... soooo whats so great about oats to make them worth it? Personaly I just tell eveyone that might feed my child that oats are bad and...

    ARCHIVED Sports Drinks

Maltitol cuases diahrea, and other instinal issues in many, if not most ppl. Foods that have it in it are often labled "May have a laxitive effect". So yea, you prbly want to aviod it... esply if you happen to have a damaged gutt from celiac disease.
  20. Thats the reason for this post, in my experence most ppl will not question the doctor. Sounds like your doctor is not used to being questioned... and thats fairly true of most doctors. I am hoping my little dice illustration will help ppl realize what thier so called "negative" biposy realy means. Even if it jsut gets ppl askign questions of thier doctor...
  21. yes, the mroe experence docotr would tend to have better odds... but that does not change the point I was making, just effects the odds a little.
  22. This post may sound picky, but in the day and age we live in, everyone realy kind of needs to understand this. A bisopy for celiac disease can never be negative, and can never disprove celiac disease. Let me explain... Do you have some dice? Pick up one, assuming its a fiar 6 sided die, role it couple of times. Your goal is to get as many 1 or 2's as...
