So question for all you parents while we wiat out the big D (currently in full force, multiple per day since Sunday) is there any to help umm improve the consitancy a bit for such a little one? 5. Yea, as I recall strawberries are fiarly nice to blood sugar, so I figure they are good thing to flavor with. I just might use it for that. OKay now that some time has passed I am sure of 2 things... 1) Son did not have the stomahc flue. He got gluten, prbly at the Sunday school in the second sessoin since there was a sub that we never saw before...
  6. Yea every Christmas my Boss gives us one of those gluten filled hony baked ham things... I just htank him for it and then give it away to some one at church LOL
  7. WElp I put strawberries int eh blender and some of the yogurt sutff... and made a tasty mixture,,, but was WAY to runny, poured it in a cup and drank it. heh. I guess I can add it to my smoothies for fat/protien add on. Not sure what I did wrong, prbly just to much water in teh strawberries.
  8. Yea. I think the egg was prbly the issue, but that cant be helped. The Flax Oil margin I used was smart balance, I think next time I will use crisco since we never have butter around. The flax oil stuff is a much different consitancey then the regular smart balance and I was worried about it. In fact I woudl say the criso is prbly better choice then the even...
  9. Yes. I agree completely. Unless you want to buy and always use toasterbags theres no way around it.
  10. Falvor is good but they are a bit gummy. I of couse had to sub on the egg, and did not have any butter so used flax oil margin.
  11. I have... not that great, but not horrid, the "Food For Life Gluten free brown rice" one is the best I have found so far (Cant try Kininick the reputed best pre-made bread because has egg in it), and found that at normal grocery store.
  12. Good luck! Since you cant remeber what real ice cream is, it tastes just liek real ice cream LOL (well okay more like "fat free" icecream... )

  14. Kroger this week had "Whole Milk Plain Yogurt" from Stonyfield. So I grabn some "fresh" strawberries and that. Figure I can use them to flavor it more naturaly. Prbly blend up some strawberries them mix them in to the yougurt. Dunno yet. But the fat/carbs/protien was much nicer on ti.
  15. Quaker has a very bad rep for all its rice cake being contiminated. I aviod that company completly.
  16. Actually I think I have seen it at Publix too... Its a small blue can, sam Macorinini and cheese right on it.
  17. Nope, Durring Atkins I just had a target and worked towards it realy, and kind of spread it out some what evenly... but I was eating pretty much nonstop... Ive always been a constant snacker... now I know why!
  18. The web site says "Flourless" so maybe thats confusing ppl?
  19. I do use a scale , and the database, and Excel even! When I was doing Aktins I was close to 100carbs a day to get to a stable condition, which is MUCH higher then recomeded on teh diet, prehaps that what I need to counter the hyposugar stuffs
  20. She actaull said she was told it was "gluten free" and safe, she was sure she was told that and it took me several mins to explain to here that it was not safe for ppl with celiac disease.
  21. 1 "carb exchange" = 15g carbs. They consider that one serving, under 5 or 6 carbs is a "free food in moderation" For HypoStuffs do you count fiber? For atkins you subtracted fiber from the carb count when counting carbs.
  22. OKay I wish I had time question this lady more... but I got side tracked when she said a certian bread was gluten-free that is not (ezekial). Came up in converstation with her cause we mention our son having celiac disease and she was like oh, so then you use alot of Ezkliakajlksjdaflj (how hte freak is that spelled?) bread, and I had to explain to her that...
  23. Go to walmart, get the "real" thing. Kraft puts the "cheese" out in a shaker can. Its the same powder thats in thier mac and cheese boxes. Its gluten-free and many ppl here use it with great success. I have only seen it at Walmart, but you might see it at other grocery stores. It looks like a shaker for putting cheese on popcorn. Often found near the "shelf...
