  1. Last night was BBQ chicken, seasoned rice and fried cabbage.

  3. I had fried potatoes with rosemary and paprika and smoked sausage and green beans. Now I am having peanut butter cookies with carob chips.

  6. Canadian Thanksgiving today so Turkey, stuffing, gravy. Mashed potatoes with parsley, sweet potatoes with brown sugar and toasted almonds, corn, brussel sprouts and all the extras. Pumpkin pie and french vanilla ice cream for dessert. I am bursting!
  7. Thanks IH. Still have a pumpkin pie or maybe two to make tonight. I actually ended up doing a mac and cheese again. Had an unexpected friend show up. I am asking Santa for a new crock pot. My daughter got me one last Christmas but it is too small for us now.

  9. Baking my first gluten-free cake today (vanilla). I am putting field berry curd in between the layers and vanilla icing.

  11. I made bread with Gluten Free Pantry French Bread Mix today. I don't have a bread machine or a mixer so had help with the mixing. It came out great! I was very pleased and had a roast pork sandwich right away. I have only made two attempts at home made bread and both were disasters so gave up. I have been using flat breads and bannock so far.   13. I saw the word boozy and had to click into this thread. Sounds so good. I would do the first one but leave out the cookies, can't eat chocolate. Or the second one just as a pudding. And maybe another one with the creme de menthe....
  14. Pork roast, roasted carrots and mashed potatoes. Maybe green beans too. Smells so good and garlicky in here.
  15. The other day I converted my gnocchi recipe to gluten free and had it with a pesto I made with almonds. I was so happy it turned out I was clapping.

  20. I made two dinners tonight. One for the gang, fried potatoes, eggs and baked beans. One for me, rice and swiss chard, kale and white beans.
  21. I made a ground beef soup with a tomato broth and cornmeal dumplings.
  22. What a feast! Should have let me know I could have popped across the water with those Muumuu's then you wouldn't have to be eating lettuce all week. Tonight we had the last of the turkey with gravy and rice with carrots and honey.
  23. I have a potato Gnocchi recipe I have always used and loved. It has some flour in it. If I use a gluten free flour should I add some X-gum? For tonight I am making a huge pan of roasted veggies.
  24. I made Mexican Pizza. A cookie sheet of polenta topped with grated cheese, chopped onion ground beef with taco seasoning and some enchilada sauce. Put it in a 425 oven for about 10 minutes and sprinkled with chopped green onion. Delicious and very filling.
  25. Leftover turkey dinner.
