  1. The package does say these come from a plant that shares lines with wheat products, but I thought I'd give them a try...I seem to get abdominal cramps after eating them though...wondering if anyone else had ever had an issue with them. I'm new to gluten-free, so don't really know yet what a typical gluten reaction is for me, and haven't been diagnosed yet...
  2. Will have to look for that....thanks!
  3. *love to know
  4. I saw in an old thread someone mentioned that they had found an organic wine that had no detectable sulphites. I love wine, but do react to sulphites, so would live to know if there are any wines with low sulphite levels that I might be able to drink.
  5. I've been avoiding dairy too, because I'm trying to get rid of persistent yeast, and I haven't had any oats...never thought of quinoa! I'll start keeping a food log and see if I can find what's bothering me...thanks!
  6. I've been gluten free for almost 3 weeks, and feel much better in general than I have in months. But for some reason the past few days, my abdominal pain has gotten worse! Or maybe just getting off gluten turned off all the other "noise" in my body, so I just notice it more? Could it be detox? Maybe it is something else, I don't know. Ugh, I just want...
  7. I've come to realize that many of my weird symptoms could be attributed to possible celiac, so even though it's a long shot, here goes... Ever since I had my daughter 4 months ago, I will occasionally get a strange sensation of tiny bubbles popping in my spine right at the back of my neck where it joins the skull. It's not painful, but I can feel and...
  8. Ugh, well, I saw my doc today, and before he does any tests for celiac, he wants to AGAIN rule out my reproductive system. Ultrasound at beginning of February, and after that I might get my tests. He assures me that no matter what we will figure this out. I suppose it's not a bad ideas to look at my reproductive system anyways, since I had a uterine rupture...
  9. Made a turkey roast with mashed potatoes, gluten free gravy, steamed baby peas and gluten free Yorkshire puddings. I wasn't sure about the Yorkshires...they're a favorite around here. The gluten free ones tasted mostly the same, but the texture was so different...they were pretty good, but just not the same. The kids seemed to like them though.
  10. Never used to get night sweats until a couple years ago, when I started getting them a few days before my period would start. Then got them when I was pregnant, and the regular postpartum sweats...only thing is, my baby is 4 months old now, and it hadn't gone away. I haven't had night sweats since I went gluten free though!
  11. 2 Weeks gluten free, and terrible insomnia. I trend to go through phases of insomnia anyways, but its been really bad the past week or so. Think I'll have to pick up some melatonin.
  12. I see my doctor on Tuesday...and I know I should be eating gluten if I want to get tested, but OMG I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER than I have in years, so i've been totally gluten free. Until tonight. It's my birthday, and my wonderful boyfriend brought home an oreo ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, and how could I say no to that? (one reason I maybe need an official...
  13. Grapes are treated with sulphites, which still remain after washing. Sulphites are write a major allergen. I always get an itchy, hot red rash on my face, neck, and arms when I consume sulphites, from grapes, cider, or wine.

    ARCHIVED Red Robin

Went to RR tonight, had a delicious turkey burger on the gluten free bun. Was going to get the lettuce wrap, because I thought the bun might not be that great, but it was really good! They also made sure to cook my fries separately and not season them, and left the chipotle sauce off the burger. This is the first time i've eaten in a restaurant since going...
  15. It's sooooooo good. I like with some honey and vanilla extract mixed in (though i'm battling yeast, so no more honey
  16. For hair loss I supplemented with an extra zinc and BioSil drops (biotin).

  17. I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I am quite sure I have celiac. And about10 years ago during my first pregnancy, I hada dvt in my left leg/groin area, and was hospitalized for Weeks. They did tests, but could never figure out what caused it, and I never thought of celiac. It want until I started researching and on a whim searched "dvt and celiac"and found...
  18. I haven't been diagnosed yet, but that is exactly what my abdominal pain has been like, like an ache that feels like period cramping, sometimes a sharp pain too. And I get bloated. I always thought it was something reproductive, was tested for ovarian cancer and all sorts of things, but the doc could never figure out what it was.
  19. Just edited my last post--wow, when I type on my phone, I make a lot of mistakes. This is the recipe I used for the coconut yogurt: Open Original Shared Link
  20. I definitely have an issue with candida, that's what got me started down this road to begin with. I was on nystatin for awhile but it wasn't helping. Now i take grapefruit seed extract and garlic every day and have seem some improvement (no return of the thrush yet.) I also take a critical care probiotic twice daily, and made coconut yogurt with it as...
  21. I've been using Organix Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo, and was happy to see that all their products are gluten-free. I also like Joico, and it is gluten-free as well (or at least most of it is, from what I understand.)
  22. My hair is very thin, especially on the crown, and now starting to thin at the temples. It's also brittle and hard to grow. I've seen people here take special supplement formulations to improve their hair loss and condition, I'm wondering if there's anything I can take to hopefully see some improvement.
  23. I had my third baby in September, and have not felt right since. Looking back, I can see symptoms that go back much further than that, but I think this birth really may have triggered Celiac disease in me. I've read that pregnancy and childbirth can kickstart it, and in addition, it was a c-section (my third c-section, and a VBA2C attempt which resulted...
