  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Not sure whether to use B12 supplements, can too much hurt you? My doc didn't even mention it and my level was 218, before celiac diagnosis. That was over a year ago, have been gluten free and gastro issues mostly gone but still have spacey days and disconnected feeling (medicine head) and forgetfulness sometimes. Would B12 pills help with this?
  3. Lister- I think you should go to the doctor, worry about the bill later. Get yourself better, then you can cope with the rest. Give us an exact rundown on what you are eating and using for products and we can look into everything for you. We are here to help you, whatever we can do. Patty

    ARCHIVED Throat Hurts

Wow, I just picked up the Hall Fruit Breezers, the ingredients look okay, but it does say flavors. Thanks flagbabyds, that was a close one!
  5. Hi, I have a sore throat, what is safe to take for throat/cough drops? Thanks
  6. Thank you Chelsea! I hadn't thought of the new Tylenol, after reading your reply, I called them, none of their new 500mg line has been tested yet., so that could be my bloating issue, ugh, along with this stomach bug, it's not good.....
  7. I definitely have a bad stomach bug then. I am soooo weak. I also have body aches and chills, haven't checked my temp. I wonder why I am so bloated, it's really strange, before I got sick I wasn't bloated. I'm going back to bed, think about it later. I can believe it about the school Patti, I can't remember being this sick from bug before...........Patty
  8. 2 days ago I started getting sick with the flu, bad vomiting and D, sometimes together. I know it is the flu because my mother & nephew had same thing last week. I have finally stopped the D & V but feel like something's eating away inside my stomach, it's very painful and I'm very bloated. The only things I've consumed are Canada Dry ginger ale,...
  9. I was diagnosed with gallbladder disease when I was 6 months pregnant and put on a fat-free diet for the rest of my pregnancy. I was warned to be very careful because if there was a rupture, there could be danger to the baby. The diet stopped the gallbladder attacks but what do pregnant women with nausea eat? Toast & crackers. I had no idea at that time...
  10. Kahlua, Kamora, & Amarula are gluten free. I went to Baileys site, under frequently asked questions. Quote: Q 4. I am allergic to Gluten/Egg/Lactose/Nuts. Does Baileys contain Gluten/Egg/Lactose/Nuts A. Gluten: Please be advised that the whiskey used in Baileys is manufactured by fermenting grain, which contains gluten. Due to the presence of gluten...

Great news, keep your chin up! Great news, keep your chin up!
  12. Piece of cake, I didn't feel a thing...nice little nap
  13. I was bloated some before I was diagnosed as celiac along with many other symptoms. But now that I am gluten free, if I get cross contaminated or accidently glutened, I bloat out horribly, way worse than before. I'm not thin, I'm about 165 lbs and 5'7" so I have a belly, but when this happens I also stick out 3 to 4 inches extra. I cannot fit into my normal...
  14. I only have my rash between my fingers, but it is definitely gluten related. I've never had the DH test but if I am accidently glutened, out it comes.
  15. Don't beat yourself up about it, you've already given it up, I assume that you can't get it back at this point. I have a different outlook, just think how happy you've made someone else!!
  16. Hi everyone- I just did a search on hotdogs but couldn't find anything on red hotdogs, like Jordons or Rice's. Are they gluten free? Thanks
  17. Heather- Welcome to the board! These guys have been a lifesaver to me these last few months. I don't post alot, but I read here almost everyday. I also have learned more here than I have from my gastro. I have always had a small weight issue, but after having my beautiful baby boy 3 1/2 years ago I had really socked some on. I am happy to report, after...
  18. I can't remember the brand, but there are envelopes out there that have the pull off sticker papers (like fedex envelopes have) just pull off and stick together.
  19. I hope this edited okay, Mandigirl snuck one in on me while I was thinking, ha, ha! 41. Snuggle up on the couch with lots of pillows. 42. Call your Momma. 43. Drink some Coke, burp big! 44. Thank God we have a reaction so we know we're doing damage (some don't have this) 45. Tell yourself, this bloat will go away, I'm not this fat! 46. Remember...
  20. bambam- A quick and easy recipe I got from a Bette Hagman book: Meat-stuffed Potatoes 1 lb lean ground beef Onion salt 4 fist-sized baking potatoes Salt & Pepper to taste 4 tablespoons marg or sour cream 1/2 to 3/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese 2 to 3 green onions, sliced thin Brown meat in skillet, add onion salt, turn heat to low. Wash...
  21. Thanks Raven- I will buy Coffeemate for now, & make that call to Int'l Delight.
  22. Are the coffee creamers from International Delight gluten-free? I have e-mailed the company but didn't get a response. If not, do you know anything comparable? I am really missing this. Especially the French Vanilla. Thanks-
  23. I have had more bleeding than normal since I went gluten-free 11 weeks ago,(not more often, just more) but for me, it's good, I haven't had much of a period for years. I think my body is finally getting the vitamins & nutrients it needs, and I feel better after my periods now...strange.

    ARCHIVED Stomach Pain

I also had my gallbladder out and still felt those type of pains. Mine almost completely stopped when I went gluten-free. Now I occasionally have acid pains when I take medication or vitamins if I don't drink enough liquids. (I also had an esphagal cyst removed last year, which may explain this) But even before, I noticed if I didn't drink enough water I...

    ARCHIVED Able To Tan

Thanks for your replies, this is very interesting. Not that it's good for me, but about 10 years ago, in my early twenties I attempted to tan in a tanning bed. I went alot, I think about 25 times. I barely changed color, so I just gave up. I've never really tried over the years, I'm still not, I was just out doing some painting and Voila "what is this...
