  3. I am going to Nova Scotia for a coupe of weeks and it is my first trip since being diagnosed. Any advice is appreciated on what to look out for. I will be shopping at Sobeys and Atlantic Superstore. Are there any great gluten-free treats to be found at either of those places?? Are Kraft products labelled as clearly there as here in the States? And what about...
  4. My WBC count is also low but up a little since being gluten-free. Doctor is not too concerned, apparently it is normal for some people. I would just watch it and I guess it depends on how low it is. Mine is just below the nomal interval range. Sue

    I had my rheumy appt today and here is what he said about ANA antibodies. If you don't have them then you probably don't need to worry about lupus,etc... If you do have them it basically tells you nothing. ANA's can be high for alot of reasons, most very harmless. I did however get a full Lupus panel done but he said he would be surprised if it came back...
  7. Hi Julie, Go to www.glutenfreedrugs.com. There is a bunch of antibiotics we can take. If what you want is not on it your md can probobly find one that is. Just be careful of generic brands. I hear they can sometimes have gluten in them. Feel better. Sue

    Hi Stephanie, I too have a high ANA. I am seeing a rheumatologist on Monday so will let you know what he says. Hopefully nothing..... I have read that it can be high with other inflammatory bowel diseases (ie chron's and colitis) so maybe if there is alot of damage from celiac....who knows but I will let you know what I find out.   10. MIne was 187!! The normal range for my lab is 0-19. Does anyone else have a level that high? Sue.
