  1. Hi, It may be a bit overwheming at first but it will get easier. I was dignosed in April and am still learning. I started with plain meat, fruits and veggies, rice and potatoes. Nothing processed. If you have a healthfood store nearby they will usually have some gluten free products. Energ-E makes a great granola bar and there is also gluten-free breads...
  2. I was craving sweet and sour chicken I called La Choy about thier sweet and sour sauce and it is gluten free. I cut up some chicken, poured the sauce over top and baked it..It was very yummy Sue
  3. Ttg is one one of the antibodies specific for celiac disease. If you have a celiac panel done you need to make sure that your Ttg level is checked. It is an indicator for intestinal damage. Sue
  4. This was my first symptom!! I had neuropathy in my left hand and my feet and legs would tingle. I have been gluten-free for 14 weeks and it is not gone but MUCH better. I think only time will tell. My doctor did not put it with celiac disease. I found a message board on the internet talking about it and insisted I get tested. She was very surprised when...
  5. my vision in my left eye has become very blurry in the last few months. I am unsure if it is celiac disease related...no docs believe it is, but no other cause can be found. 11. Hi Shannon, I don't think an overnight fast would effect the celiac panel. As long as she is not on a gluten-free diet your results should be accurate. Sue
  12. If your mom has an autoimmune disease this alone may cause your ANA to be high. Alot of times it is high in family members who have a family history of autoimmune diseases. Your bone density test will show if your bones are thin and if they are this is definately caused by celiac disease. Sue
  13. Hi Annie, I also have a high ANA and was sent to a rheumatologist. He tested for Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis as these diseases cause your ANA antibodies to be high....but he also told me that a positive ANA could mean nothing. I was found to have antibodies indicating Sjogrens syndrome so this may be the cause for my high ANA. All other tests came back...

  17. Hi Lori, You sound very much like me. I was diagnosed with celiac in April by bloodwork and endoscopy. I have been gluten-free for 13 weeks and still get muscle pain and tingling sensations. I was tested for Lupus but I don't have it. It just may be my intestine taking a long time to heal. I had complete atrophy of villi according to my endoscopy. Definately...
