  1. Rosetapper are you diagnosed?
  2. So far I've been controlling my rash through iodine and sals limitation.. but it would be possible that it "just happened" that the other irritants were limited at the same time (if it is eczema) which helped control the rash. I also get a coldsore-like blister in my nose that itches when I get a full rash outbreak by the way.
  3. Aren't there any diagnosed members who wish to post pictures ;-( I feel that this thread might be causing more speculation than a point of reference.
  4. Some of the pics look a lot like mine! I also get them in my scalp though, not my feet.. My blisters don't join either and can surface even in the winter.. It also burns when exposed to sals. It's scary to be confused once again, but thanks for the reference (i'll keep it in mind if my rash develops into something else)
  5. Hey Dani...go to my profile! my 13 yr.old got my cougar towink...now it really winks!LOL he did both the avitar and the profile pic...its a little creepy..don't know if I'll keep it...but its cool for now! What do you think?

  6. This is a more recent picture of how the rash developed since the previous pictures. I now get reddish patches with dry flaky skin that appear before, with, and after the blisters. They don't show very well in the pic however due to being lubricated:
  7. You can call photography a time sucking addiction if that's how you feel about it.. I thought it was a hobby.. or maybe it used to be :-(
  8. Cougie I'm glad you like them.. I love blues, greens, and bluegreens haha! Now come and make an instagram account too! Start taking photos with it so I can put you on my follow list and comment on them! :-D
  9. It's not a website, it's a phone app which takes photos then gives you the option to publish them on your own gallery. You can also look at other people's photos.. and there are people who are just so amazing.. So many colors, so many different compositions, so much pretty stuff.. it's just.. I'm so obsessed with it :-O Then you can make a page that shows...
  10. I think so too :-O My composition skills have advanced incredibly since I started!
  11. I checked out your "followgram"..CUTE! Soot is adorable! great pic of you as well!

    like your pics!Very nice!

  12. With the same symptoms? I've been told by several board members that based on research, having DH is an indication of having celiac disease.
  13. Gluten-intolerance means you get symptoms if you eat gluten but don't get damage in the small intestines as celiacs do. What does your rash look like though?
  14. I've been told that even if the rash surfaces while the patient is gluten-free the biopsy will test negative. So the only way to know for sure is a gluten-challenge.
  15. I spend most of my free time browsing photos on it and taking photos of my own :-O I'm planning a bicycle trip tomorrow to inspect a gluten-free bakery I heard about, but the truth is.. I'm just going to take interesting photos for instagram on the way!
  16. A lot of people with DH are also really sensitive to iodine and and salicylates, which can continue to cause DH flares even when you're gluten-free. Try going low iodine (meaning no iodized salt or salt-water fish), and limit foods as well as beauty products containing high amounts of Open Original Shared Link
  17. Thanks for your input Patti, was very helpful :-)
  18. I totally understand your frustration and how it must feel ;-( Feels like world war is striking in my home if anything contains gluten makes it through the door. Don't stress.. it already happened and there's nothing you can do to change that. Perhaps next time it would be a good idea to check what type of food is involved before someone in the family is...
  19. Thanks Patti! Can you tell me more about your rash? Does it get worse when you're angry or stressed, when does it itch, and did going gluten-free make a big or small difference? Also are you self or formally diagnosed?
  20. Thanks for brainstorming with me :-) I never read anything about eczema being symmetrical either but just wanted to check. Sadly, there's no way on earth she'll go low iodine. My parents are in complete and utter denial to no end with body issues being linked to food ;-( Guess I'll never know. I'll ask her about the itch when my dad isn't listening...
  21. I managed to make my mom let me take photos of her knee.. She has one on each knee and they itch her like madness. I didn't see any signs of blisters.. so don't know if it can be DH, but I saw pics of eczema and they look a little more like this one. Can eczema also be symmetrical like DH? Can this be a sign of gluten intolerance? http://rainytown.se/images...
