  1. Do you take any supplements?
  2. It went horribly. The doc was pushy and wasn't listening. I also didn't get the chance to talk about all the things I needed. I hope yours goes better. If you end up with a pushy doc, be as stubborn as you can, and don't leave without making sure you've said everything you wanted to say!
  3. If it's a place where a lot of baking goes on, you might be either inhaling the flower through your nostrils, or you might not be washing your hands properly when it's time to eat. You can have gluten stuck even under your nails. You need a safe place to prepare all your meals (preferably at home). I don't even set foot in a place where I know any type...
  4. Bartful & IH, I'm sure you're both pretty beautiful as well :-) Thanks *red face*
  5. What are all your symptoms? (in regards to stomach, bowel-movements, skin, thinking, mood, alertness, general well-being), and do you have any other conditions like diabetes, arthritis or thyroid problems?
  6. Can you do nuts? You can have a bowl of roasted nuts, pealed and diced apple or pear, and topped with honey or maple syrup. Very filling, nutritious and really yummy. You can even sprinkle a little Cinnamon on them. These days I have a bowl of frozen mango for breakfast. It would never have been enough for me before I went on the elimination diet, but when...
  7. My birthday was last tuesday, and it was decided that that was the day I could have and do anything I want. I wanted muffins. I didn't want to spend hours making them, and I didn't want to buy 1000 ingredients, so I bought a bag of of my favorite shake and bake gluten-free chocolate muffins. I checked the ingredients, and it contained oat flour. I knew...
  8. Doctors.. Many of them are actually a menace to society. Sorry you have to cross paths with one of them :-(
  9. Tell your friends, he's an idiot. His luck will run out one day when he sooner or later gets really sick. Simple and easy. Lots of people don't get reactions UNTIL they go gluten-free (like me). Since he's never been gluten-free, he doesn't get reactions yet, but doesn't mean no damage is being done.
  10. Hey sunshine...did you get my E-mail?

I didn't mention, but I liked the mug/card Idea.Have a place that reprints in 3 different styles(in gliclee paint) They ALSO can print mugs ,cards and posters!

They take a profesional photo of the art, then digitize it and save it to your account, then any time you need prints, you can just order it and it will be sent to your client!

  11. HaHaHa..I like it!...Soooo RETRO! LOL!

    Your SUCH the ARTIST!!! ;)

  12. Good question. I too would like to know
  13. Those were really helpful, thanks again, prickly queen of all pears! I'll look it up on google.se and see if anyone is selling Enzymedica :-)
  14. There aren't any that are dairy and soy free otc at the pharmacy, and I've been told that buying them off the net is illegal in sweden :-(
  15. *Really giant big fat hug* :-D
  16. Always at your service :-D
  17. By the way, sorry about turning this thread into a discussion about my appointment, this wasn't the aim :-( I wanted a collection of positive vibes, and I
  18. bennl1, yes I'm aware of that. If she were open to diagnosing through my DH, I would have been able to get through this with maybe one or two glutenations? I had to say no to the challenge, because I've developed stomach cramps which I've never felt before. They hurt, and they hurt a lot. I think it's cruel what they did to me. When I first called to book...
  19. She took a blood test, and said there will be no further testing if it's negative. That's what I understood anyway. I even suggested they biopsy the rash but she insisted DH doesn't have to be linked to Celiac. I know that it's her job not to give a diagnosis without testing. I agree with her on that one. Since I'm a positive person from now on, I've...
  20. Thank you so much Prickly. I'll look into them. I asked a friend today if she knew any private facilities and she said her sis might know one in Gothenburg too.. so I think I'll be having alternatives :-)
  21. Not really. I consider the testing for a diagnosis thing as bad luck, and I'm complaining that she's not willing to test for deficiencies if my blood test comes back negative.
  22. Changing the type of fuel (what you eat) that you run on, means your body's chemistry changes.. Or at least I believe so.. Hang in there :-)
  23. Was the bread gluten-free? If not, even a crumb of bread will cause a reaction (if you have celiac).. You probably didn't get withdrawal symptoms because your body is still on gluten. Like kareng said more details are needed :-)
  24. So I finally went to the doc today, and as I feared, it didn't go well. The doc won't give a diagnosis without a gluten challenge, but suggested we test for anti-bodies in hopes that there might be some left in my system (which I doubt will test positive). I asked if they would test for any deficiencies since I feel poorly, and she said it all depended on...
  25. Sorry for being the bringer of even more bad news :-(
