  1. Critically true! I had actually forgotten about that because I haven't been getting headaches recently, so thanks :-))) I don't have any of the cashews at home atm, so I'll check for contamination next time I'm at the market. I don't think I was getting glutened though because it goes away quickly when I stop them, and it doesn't agitate my DH.

    Sadly not one member of my family is flexible to eating gluten-free.. They are even shunning the possibility. My parents are coming to visit soon and I'm still not sure how that's going to go..   3. I don't think cashews are high in iodine.. maybe the salted ones might be? The ones I've been eating are sold raw and plain.. I either ate them the way they were or roasted them myself in sunflower oil and ate them unsalted.
  4. I'm not sure about it yet, but I think that the cashews were what was making me aggressively irritated.   5. You might be happier focusing on the things you like to do and who you like to be rather than what others would accept you as. Wear a pretty dress and go out for a big juicy steak. You actually need someone who will like who you are in your life, so do what makes you happy, and if someone likes it, they're very welcome to share that life with you.

  12. Well it's a really good read! I'm glad you revived it :-) I gave my bunny a bath (shampooed him three times) when I found out his pellets contained gluten. His fur got really poofy and even a little curly after the bath. Bunnies aren't supposed to be showered, the poor thing!   16. Life really sucks for us sometimes. Maybe a little more than sometimes :-( Sorry you had to put up with that type of attitude. For me it's my dad who can be awful.. he acts as if the food I eat is uneatable. *hug hug hug*
  17. The difference is that salmonella would affect 100% of the customers, while gluten.. let's say.. err I don't have a number, but let's say 30%? The Restaurants can make more than enough money without the required extra training and special prep methods and equipment focusing on the other 70% who are not gluten intolerant, and without having to worry about...
  18. I actually don't eat out anymore .. I got glutened too many times, and now I don't bother anymore because people aren't aware enough about celiac safety, and I'm usually too hungry or too embarrassed to have to explain to them why they have to change their gloves or wash their hands.. but I still have to say that suing the restaurants for making mistakes...

  21. It would be nice if his problem was caused by gluten. I did have thoughts that maybe he's also Gluten Intolerant since he has cramps and diarrhea around once or twice a month maybe.. I haven't counted. There is no way my husband would agree to going gluten free however. He was completely against it when I suggested he gets tested. It took a lot of mouth-yapping...
  22. Just found out hubs has tourettes. Very mild but it's there :-/ I don't love him any less, but what kindof children might we be having exactly?   23. Everyone gets their own set of symptoms. You should keep a journal to document everything. It'll help you keep track of your reactions, how long they last and so on.
  24. Aww.. sorry you're not feeling well :-( Don't beat yourself up over it, s---- happens! Hope it doesn't last long for you! I've read from other members here that the best you can do is drink plenty of water to get everything out of your system asap.
