  1. Did you feel better gluten free? If so regardless of whether you have celiac or not, you may have gluten intolerance. This can cause the same symptoms and reck your body as much as celiac without the typical villi damage or pos. celiac tests. If you feel better gluten free than stick with it.
  2. If you are gluten free than your tests will be negative. Some docs do not seem to know this! You still have Celiac. Sorry!!
  3. My testing range said that anything below 4.0 is low. I have always been around 3.7-4. Even after going gluten free it was still like that. Last check though I was at 6! Best ever. I heard optimal is 7. Keep in mind that any viral illness or one recently passed will cause low white count and a bacterial infection will cause high. Last year when sick...

I wouldn't be surprised if your pain goes away or gets much better on the diet. This may be the answer you have been looking for!
  5. sorghum is a grain in the same family as corn. I personally feel very tired and have brain fog after eating that cereal.
  6. I don't see gluten, but what I do see is propylene glycol and methyl and propo parabens. These are not only toxic to our bodies, but are common skin allergens. I am allergic to propylene glycol. I had huge rashy blisters under my arm for a year(and was using a so called natural product). One day while looking at the labels of the diff. natural deodorants...
  7. I noticed you said you went gluten free and then had the blood work after. If this is the case it is very likely that your tests will be negative. You have to eat gluten for the tests to show anything. Anyway, I would stay on the diet now that you are pregnant. I wouldn't eat it on purpose, but I don't think a mistake would hurt the baby. I don't know...
  8. Elevated and skipping heart rates can be caused by any allergy not just gluten. You may have other foods that you have issues with. Reactions to foods can take anywhere from immedieately to 3 days later.
  9. Tom's of Maine is gluten free and now you can get a flouride and sodium laurel free version. Both are toxic to the body!!
  10. I recently went to Longhorn's Steakhouse in Marlborough Mass. I told the waitress that I was on a gluten free diet and asked if they could accomodate me. " Oh yes she said, we see it all the time. She went back to the kitchen and got the manager. He brought me a gluten free menu and told me to let him know if I had any issues or needed help. The waitress...
  11. My ex-husband has had this awful rash come and go for a few years on his legs and arms. It gets worse with stress or illness. It is red itchy scabby and can even form opened sores at times. He recently went through a rough time and it got really bad. He went to a natural energy healer, but has also been eating really healthy for a week. Nothing but brown...
  12. Taking magnesium really helps and so does sweet potato.
  13. Kimmy, Just so you know, I am a CLC(cerified lactation counselor). Unfortuneately we did not learn about breastfeeding and celiac in our training. I do however, have some info to share. You should add fats to your diet as the other person said and eat more. Drinking and eating enough while nursing is so important. You will produce milk regardless, but...

  15. There is a homopathic remedy called Ocsicillium that is supposed to be very helpful if taken in the beginning. I gave it to my son in the fall when he had a 102 fever and he was better in 12 hours. I could not find any last year when I got the flu for the first time since 94. Of course I came down with it on day 3 of my week vacation in Florida. Spent...

  19. Thanks. I will be at a conference in the hotel district. I am actually staying in Newton with my boyfriend, but wanted a close by restaurant that I could go to with my coworkers who will be staying in the hotel district in Marlboro. I would love to check out the Woester place, but I don't think they will want to drive that far. Maybe I will check out...
  20. I am going to a 3 day conference in Marlboro Ma. next week. I read on this thread that someone had a good experience at Longhorns in Marlboro. Are there any other good gluten free dining options there? Chinese perhaps?? Thanks!
  21. Thyroid medicine is usually for life. Going off is not a good idea. I can't believe your doc wouldn't offer or look into other meds. People usually have more success with Armour or Cytomel anyway. Please talk to your doc asap.
  22. I can relate. When I am flaring I drive with my pants undone!
  23. Hi Scotty, I think we've met on the candida thread. Anyway the diet is so important. You really need to go on the IC diet strictly, then slowly add things in one at a time to see if they cause bladder issues. It is hard to do with the gluten thing, but it helps. Also, try Prelief before every meal. It gets rid of the acid in your food. It is natural...
  24. Please go armed with lots of info. Again I hope you check out dr.lowe.com. He is published and respected in this field. He works with my doc to help explain what needs to be done regarding my thyroid.
