  1. Gluten needs to be ingested to effect a Celiac. A wheat allergy is completely different. The only way shampoo or conditioner could effect a Celiac is if you swallow it. The biggest contributor to hair falling out I know is either thyroid disease or malnutrition. Colleen
  2. So glad you know about CBT and it worked. Do try the others. For bineural beats. There are apps you can find and make sure you use stereo head phones. Colleen
  3. I have used Tramodol off and on for over 5 or 6 years. No problem with it. Colleen
  4. Hi jddh. I'll tell you about my last 3 years and how I got thru it. Almost 3 years ago I got my Celiac diagnosis. Before that I had around 15 years of very poor health, lots of meds and lots of Dr. appts. and lots of lost time just trying to survive day to day. I was feeling pretty decent after I went gluten-free and was completely thrilled to know...
  5. Kinda odd is right. Last I went shopping I put his Peach Snapple in the cart, then almost cried. Skipped the frozen food section all together. Interesting thing is we talk on the phone more often then we ever talked when he was here. Don't know if I'll ever get over him being on his own. Hubs put a roast in the KFG, it smells good already
  6. In our bed. Hubs not allowed to eat late night snacks in the bed anymore Colleen
  7. Hubs picked up a watermelon last night too. Eating it now with my coffee. I salt mine. Colleen
  8. LOVE2 So happy to see you again. I love googleing what you food is I do hope you have a guest house for all of us to come and visit? Or at least a big tent !! I would love to see a bit of Croatia, can you email some pics? It sounds like you are feeling better out of that bitter cold, Hooray for that! For Dinner? I gave up food. I only drink...
  9. Good Deal. One step at a time Colleen
  10. I liked the cockroach running around but last night I watched an episode of X-Files and it was about these killer mechanical cockroaches. Freaked out so nixed the bug Not much appetite yet, maybe soup tonight.
  11. Feeling like death here too. One word for you IH...NETFLIX
  12. We don't eat mixed meals often either. For breaded things he always uses my stuff. If he is cooking only for himself (when I have a salad or something) he piles on the gluten...lol. He has been coming around to my way slowly (only 2 years ) The only time I can think of when it's mixed is spaghetti. But he loves the Fettuccine with my noodles....I don...
  13. I think I must have the only gluten eating husband that cooks for me! Colleen
  14. I've swatted at it a few times myself
  15. Thank you for the Article, very informative. Colleen
  16. Thanks for your reply. As far as I know, no one in Family has had any gall bladder issues. But then again, no one has cancer...lol. I'm the Special one in the Family I guess. I understand the gall bladder works with the Immune System? Is that correct? Colleen
  17. I have no problem with Bob's Red Mill. Sometimes there is confusion whether it's a different ingredient or really reacting to a very small amount (tested under 20 ppm). Colleen
  18. As you can see from my sig., I have bi-polar depression. Have most of my life. Unfortunately gluten free did not change anything for me. My disease has been confirmed with brain scans. I do think some lesser degree issues can be reversed with gluten-free as I have read stories about it here. Colleen
  19. Nicole. I never realized there was a connection with body temp. I have always been 97, even if I feel feverish. Thanks for the info. Colleen
  20. Hi Wendy, thanks for your reply. The previous scan I had of that region showed the gall bladder being completely normal. time span was 7 months. My Oncologist doesn't think it has anything to do with my cancer, so that's good. Unfortunatlely, Oncologists don't worry about anything unless it's connected to cancer. I think I have an appointment coming...
  21. Hi jddh. You asked : I wonder if omeprazole could make things worse? Perhaps decreased stomach acid causes my digestive process to slow down, lengthening the autoimmune reaction In my small gut. Years ago I was given this med also. I was doubled over in pain every time I ate a meal. I was also having acid come up my throat. For these two symptoms...
  22. You should go with your Doctor's recommendation on how much to supplement. Levels are different for different people. Colleen
  23. Hi Kingman and Welcome. You should have testing for deficencies before any supplimentation. There are many Celiacs that do not have these problems. Taking a daily multi-vitamin is not a problem. Colleen

  25. As BlessedMommy said, testing is always recommended before starting a gluten free diet. Following are the tests: tTG IgA tTG IgG DGP IgA DGP IgG EMA IgG Total IgA Endoscopic Biopsies You must be eating gluten for 6-12 weeks for the tests to be accurate. If you decide to continue with the gluten free diet you should give it 6 months to determine...
