  1. Hi Sunny. You may experience reactions, and take further precautions that are not the same as someone with classic celiac disease. Many like minded members discuss these issues in the Super Sensitive Forum where others may have experiences closer to your own and may take further precautions to protect themselves from gluten than is typically necessary for...
  2. You seem to be suggesting that you are NOT getting glutened from ingesting the make-up but rather having a skin reaction to the make-up. Most likely you are reacting to an ingredient in the make-up that is not even connected to gluten. Good Luck. Colleen
  3. Irish, The only one I know of 'happy' to have the blisters flowing. You're cracking me up Yes, Colleen = girl, good catch, unless you really are Irish, then is just common sense ... lol. Good Luck on the biopsies. Colleen
  4. Hi Irish... I've had a ton of biopsies and they can take them from anywhere. They will give a shot first to numb then take the biopsy then a stitch or two if needed. Get some Aquaphor healing ointment to help with healing. I've had some large biopsies and even then it just leaves a bit of a pucker on the skin. Yours will most likely not even leave...
  5. The pans on the King Arthur site are USA Pans. They have higher sides. With Gluten free bread, if you use a regular size bread pan, the rising bread will fall over the sides of the pan. It is well worth the investment for this pan. Very sturdy and well made. Good Luck Colleen
  6. DH can show up in many different places. Possibly look through the DH Photo Bank and some of the threads to get an idea where others have it. Celiacs with DH may not sucessfully test positive on blood tests. A biopsy on the skin adjacent to an active lesion is required. You still must be eating gluten for a DH biopsy and should be done by a Dermatologist...
  7. Hey Squirmy, Glad you got that cookbook. Seriously awesome food !!!!!! Wait till you make the coffee cake . And the Breads . And, and, and,....lol Colleen
  8. Hi sameer, Unfortunately, the user you quoted has not been on the Forum since May of 2009. Feel free to start a new topic. Welcome, Colleen
  9. As Bartfull said, do get your daughter tested. An endoscope would be something to consider. They look for damage and abnormal cells by taking biopsies. Once you have a baseline on any damage, you can have follow up scopes to make sure he is healing if he is still having some issues. His blood tests should be checked periodicallly also to look for reduction...
  10. NO to charcoal tablets. It doesn't to any good and will suck any nutrients right out of your body and cause constipation. Plus, it's really nasty when it comes out the other end. Activated Charcoal is typically used for Overdose cases and Toxic ingestion. Celiac is Autoimmune and the charcoal will have no effect. Good luck Colleen
  11. There are many possible reasons you have this including Candida Yeast Infections, excessive saliva etc. Look for other things and not just vitamin b as the cause. Good Luck, Colleen
  12. No!!!! Charcoal Tablets....please. You may be fine but if you did ingest a bit it is an autoimmune reaction and you can't stop that. Charcoal will absorb everything....including nutrients, vitamins, mediations, fluids. Chances are you will be fine. Colleen
  13. I get glass one's at Hobby Lobby. They have different sizes and have the rubber tight seal that is air tight. Plus, they are seriously affordable. I keep all my different flours in them. Colleen
  14. Clonazepam does not have any gluten in it. See here : Open Original Shared Link. Your lipstick, liquid makeup or powder and face lotion would be the only items that should be of concern as far as gluten. If you've been having these depression episodes regularly then you may need to look at other food related issues and preparation and if you eat out...
  15. My brother gave us a hugh box of chocolate confections for Christmas (in person). It had chocolate covered pretzels in their too. I didn't say anything to him as he was giving a gift. They will be enjoyed by my neighbors. I don't worry about it. It's once a year and I don't expect everyone to keep track of my health issues. Colleen
  16. Hey Squirmy, here is the KA loaf pan. I'm ordering a couple myself
  17. I got it!. Sprinkle Mirilax on the cookies and then proclaim...Welcome To My World
  18. You could snap off all the heads
  19. Meltdowns over cookies is not unheard of
  20. It looks like you posted this list from this page: Open Original Shared Link. I would nix the list altogether and just read the labels. The list is very mis-leading. Colleen
  21. Ughs....feel better soon and take it easy.
  22. I'll be looking at those stalks a bit more closely
  23. Hi, and Welcome to the Forum. The label does not have wheat barley or rye listed. Colleen
  24. John, Soy must be listed on the label. Colleen
  25. If soy is used in a food product is must be listed on the ingrediant lable. In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires food manufacturers to list the eight most common ingredients that trigger food allergies. Most other countries have similar rules. In the United States, information about food allergies has to be written in...
