  1. Ok. Couple of things. DH can be pretty much anywhere! Singles can be extremely painful and itchy. Your Doctor doesn't seem to be very well informed. I guess you could always continue to eat gluten for the above mentioned lenght of time and get blood tested again. Sorry for these difficulties you are having. You can still just eliminate gluten...
  2. How would someone even know if they didn't have back to back endo's to look. The Doctors have protocols and do the testing. Not us. If you decide to do something against Doctor's orders then you have made that decision and will suffer the consequences if something adverse happens. You can't really complain about a Doctor if you don't follow what he says...
  3. The gnawing may be hunger, your not eating much. And yes, dump the sweet potato skins (forever). If you want to try applesauce, make it yourself. Only whole foods. Have you made chicken and noodle soup, something like that that's easy on the tummy but filling? Try making Zoodles ( noodles from zucchini. Do you have vitamin deficiencies? Are you supplimenting...
  4. When I say related, I mean all kinds of different rashes can show up but it may not be DH, just some kind of rash. Since your eating gluten again now IS the time to do testing again. Make sure the Derm knows the proper protocol for biopsying DH (must be taken from clear skin adjacent to an active sore) If it does comes back negative, get another set of...
  5. Thats !!! what I'm talking about And yes, I love all my Celiac sisters and brothers ! Colleen
  6. Ice Girl... Gonna have to put the brakes on you Remember no magic pill. I'll give you a perfect example of how difficult multiple AI's can be. You Ready? In July my AI system went nuts due to a separate issue I have. From July and still going on now....my Vitiligo when nuts, Thyroid upped a point and Sicca (Sjogrens) is killing me. Have...
  7. Not surprising you test negative...with being mostly gluten free for so long. Don't be disappointed if the biopsy is negative. There can be many different rashes to get with Celiac. It's the whole autoimmune thing. Have you ever considered a gluten challenge? Or is diagnosis at this point not that important to you. Colleen
  8. It sure does help when people understand what your going through and can help make needed decision. Irish Heart got me through my initial months and is now a great friend. It feel good to be able to "pay it forward" to others in the same boat. Colleen
  9. Keep up with the challenge and good luck. Colleen
  10. Hi Haley. Have you had Celiac testing? or are you pursuing a DH diagnosis. Your a prime candidate for Celiac, rash or not. Colleen
  11. If your brother has Celiac, I'm assuming he carries one of the two genes that would have been passed down from mother/father. Obviously these genes can also be passed to you. Chances are 1 in 22 if you have a sibling with Celiac. Open Original Shared Link Colleen
  12. I think waiting is best too. It would make sense to me that her Vitiligo is getting worse IF she ends up having Celiac. If the gluten is causing an autoimmune reaction then the chances that others flare up is high. My Autoimmune System kicked into high gear in July...Vitiligo went nuts, Thyroid TSH jumped a point and Sicca (Sjjogrens) went crazy....
  13. Hubs took me out for lunch today. Went to the Roosters place. I talked to the Kitchen Mgr., as usual, and they use sauces and seasoning on the grill. He offered to clean a section of grill for me to make my chicken. So thankful to this Manager. He went beyond what I expected Had a wonderful Chicken Cesar Salad. Yummmmm
  14. And I do love Museums...
  15. Add Me Tall, Dark and Beyond Handsome I have. I'm in it for the spectacular views.....
  16. Hi Bridee and Welcome to the Forum. Since all her testing is clear, The migraine cause is very plausible. Did she have an EGD? Iron Deficiency usually has a cause. Even if she eats a wonderful diet, it doesn't matter if she isn't absorbing the Iron. Some are diagnosed by Endocscope and tested - on blood tests. Welcome Again. Colleen
  17. I've got these frozen taquito things in my freezer left of from my son. I should probably toss em. We had Hubs Famous Tacos tonight...very yummers and I'm munching on Caramel Corn for dessert.
  18. Love2 Try changing browsers. I had to change to Google Chrome. Should solve the problem.
  19. My KFG (Crock Pot) is my go to for cooking anything decent Hubs is a wiz with all the pots and pans and such. He gets seriously excited when I attempt something new in the Crock because he knows I have one more meal that I can actually make for both of us Of course, I swapped the soup for gluten-free. It really did turn out great and made a large amount...
  20. Personally, I would not use it. The waffle mix leaks out so badly and that stuff really sticks. I think the one I bought was from Walmart and around $15.00. Does two at a time and works fine and will travel easily. Colleen
  21. Your Welcome Hun...hang in there. Colleen
  22. Hi Zebra. You really want to get tested for Celiac before you put yourself through this. Understand, there is no test for Gluten Intolerance. Not only do you need to change your diet to be gluten-free but you have to make changes in your Kitchen, have procedures in place to dine out, carry food with you all the time and if you live with others there...
  23. My Crock Pot Potato Soup is almost done and smells most wonderful
  24. I can only tell you what I do. If I feel a cold, sore throat...that sort of thing, I really rest, drink tons of water and take Ibuprofen. If I feel run down...the same. If I can tell something is off with thyroid....I get the blood test even if its earlier than the regular scheduled one. I limit caffeine and sugar, eat a lot of fruits. Limit beef but...
  25. When 1 AI Disease is flaring, others like to join the party. That's why people with multiple AI's have difficulty recovering. It's really difficult to get them all settled down at one time. It takes lots of work to keep on top of multiple AI's and lots of patience. I think it's very important to pay very close attention to what type of symptoms you are...
