  1. Thanks IH, granted, I need to do better in the eating dept. I sometimes think that because I'm not absorbing so much, why eat? Now I'm off, hanging my head, heading back to the NEWBIE link. Maybe ill remember some of it this time around.
  2. Sorry to say, not joking, there's one glass full left in the pitcher, it's all yours Udi's has this monocalcium phosphate, is that a kind of dairy thing, if it's not I'll go for Udi's and skippy. Thanks for the link, already bookmarked it. And I'm going to the grocery store tomorrow so I'll be good to go
  3. Wow, I use that smart shade when I wear makeup (not to often) so that is going in the trash. Thanks for the info. Be well
  4. You have all the luck I can throw your way. I hope it solves some of your issues. Be well.
  5. I'm having a pitcher of strawberry daquiris. Since I just went dairy free, I can't find anything to eat except a head of lettuce
  6. Just thru some sweet potato fries in the oven. I don't have the energy to even beg for a real dinner
  7. Thanks Lisa. Yes, Irish Heart told me how to make the consomme, it's for braised sirloin tips. I don't have much variety right now, but before long I'm going to try more sophisticated meals. I think my system will be ready. My biggest problem is substitutions. I have never been a great cook, so I'm learning how to cook and what I can put in it...
  8. Okay. Thanks for the specifics, that's what I needed to know. Consider me dairy free until further notice. I feel better already just knowing what to do. I appreciate all your patience in helping me. be well.
  9. Thanks for the replies. So if I take out all dairy, what does that all include? Is it everything that has milk in it? Including milk used as an ingredient? Does it include all cheese? I know these are probably silly questions but I just don't know what is all included in dairy free. Thanks.
  10. I've figured out that milk and ice cream don't agree with me. My question is where do these two items fit? Is dairy free everything in the dairy section at the store? Is just milk the problem? And where does lactose come in? Oh, and cheese, where does it fit? I still do fine with colby/jack and sour cream. I'm really confused as what to cut. Any...
  11. Tiramisu. Wow, I don't know if its dinner or desert or even what it would look like and a few ingredients have no meaning to me but, it sounds SO GOOD. You foodies are Killin me here
  12. Very much so. The rest of the tightness in the tummy relaxed this morning. Thanks for asking!
  13. Seriously thank you. I am a total beginner and I appreciate your time.
  14. Thank you IH. I just have a few questions. What is chervil? What does it look like when the "raft"? Begins to form? Do you freeze any extra? Thanks again. I am trying to learn about cooking
  15. I am having a cup of instant gluten-free brown rice as I do not know how to cook and don't know the meanings of most of the foods your talking about. All I know is I pulled out some of moms old recipes and am trying to find a gluten-free Beef Consomme. I don't know what a Consomme is but I need one.
  16. GE = Husband

  19. Thank you so much. I'm writing a master list to add to my mountain of lists. Be well
  20. I'm not as quick of a thinker as I once was so go easy on me I have been having problems decoding acronyms that posters use on the forum. Examples: OP - I thought it was a cable channel. DD - darling daughter? Ha, mine does not fit that. SIL - BIL - seem to go together, in-laws? And there are many more, WNL, SCD etc. I'm clueless. Is there...
  21. IH, the Boston Strangler story is classic! I'm still laughing. And yup, the pup is my best friend. Be well.
  22. Thanks guys for recognizing how I deal with stress. It is really the only option for me. Crying gives me a headache. And believe me, the relationship between me and croutons is OVER!!! I also submit that my brain isn't firing on all cylinders and I am not responsible for this mistake . Be well.
  23. So hubs, me and step-daughter go out to O'Charleys for dinner last night. This is the only place I trust to eat out at since they have a thorough allergy menu. Anyway, I select my dinner and get a ceasar side salad. Yup, checked, Gluten free dressing. So out comes the salad. Much to my surprise I had forgotten to tell them no croutons, serious rookie...
  24. I had the tilt-table test, was fine, just mild syncope. But, and this always seems to happen, I find out today when I went to doc about the thyroid that during the test my resting heartbeat was 58 and highest was 98. So, my doc ruled out any thyroid changes that might have cropped up and instead said, because of the slow heart rate, your going to a...
  25. When it happens to me, it happens very quickly. I will feel it in my insides before I'm done eating. I'm usually in the bathroom with Dr within an hour or too. Then just tired for awhile. I just drink lots of water. Hope you find something that works. Be well
