  1. That is very interesting. Thanks for adding. I will definitely mention it at my next doc appt. I may just call and move it up because now i have red swollen blister like bumps all across the back of my tongue. They are not actual blisters idt because it doesnt hurt it just feels like a doctor has a tongue depressor on my tongue and squeezing my neck a little...
  2. Yeah they had glass cutting boards at Bed Bath and Beyond and Wal-Mart but they all had ridges and i wasnt comfortable with that. My mother and father pretty much dont touch my things but my brother recently moved back in and he is....well....he is a sloppy inconsiderate young male what can i say
  3. I waswondering whether a granite or marble would be good because i could also use it as a baking stone. I got a bunch of cookware at the store and its expensive so if i could kill two birds with one stone it would be nice. What do you think?
  4. I bought a pasta maker looking at making my own pasta. My family is not gluten free so i was looking for a safe nonporous cutting board. I went to the biggest cookware store around here and everything was plastic or wood which can get knicked and hide gluten. Anybody have any advice as to where i could get one? Thx guys
  5. Sometimes hypochondriac is what society labels us, crazy people who believe that a "healthy" person should be healthy. You should always listen to your body is what i have learned and not ignore it when it is clearly telling you something. I would definitely continue my suspicions if i were you and follow up with a doctor. See what everybody else says...
  6. My convo with my company owner and boss: Boss: Well you look good Me: He! Right Boss: what you been doing still at the gym Me: No just eating gluten everyday Boss: Really where do you get that? Me: It's in just about everything Boss : Oh well it's working cause you still look good Honestly just because i look skinnier doesnt mean i look good!...
  7. Good link, especially because it is written in English and not scientish
  8. Eh yeah im just gonna save my money, time and energy and just go celiac diet and never look back. It is so not worth it. It is kinda rediculous. I am fairly confident that most of my symptoms will improve. Idk how long it will take before my anemia improves. I will probably be in dentures by fifty like my gma because of enamel deficiency but the worse thing...
  9. So glad for you! Praying you get accurate results :-) Get well quickly!
  10. Lmbo! I love number four! That is great! Number one really! I cant believe someone asked that
  11. I like the peanut one its a good point. Number four is perfectly straightforward
  12. Yeah im thinking i may go ahead and go get tested, might as well. If that is no good i may get the gene test done since at the least it could potentially rule out celiac if i dont have the genes. We will see. I go to my old doctor again tomorrow and a G.I. Doc sometime this week. Ought to be fun.
  13. Yeah iknow. Idk where she went its just u and me lol. I just thought it was a little different from antibody testing because it is antinuclear antibodies but i suppose just like any antibody, it doesnt mean it is active or doing anything. That makes a lot of sense. It is almost like whats the point in getting tested though. I guess even the scientists arent...
  14. You are absolutely right! Thx for the support and well wishes. I know some people will always be skeptical. That will make life kinda bumpy at first as my family has always treated me like a hypochondriac until i reduced carbs and inadvertently gluten and got healthier then it was all praise in my turn around over about a year period. Yet there was no hypochondria...
  15. Idk im almost done trying to figure it out but he prescribed the hydroxyzine for the burnin lips and swelling. Thank God i figured out what was causing it after allergy test for oats and reading the ingredients in my morning breakfast bars. Oats! I grew up on oats that really stinks. I was just really paranoid that if i took it if i had to get a biopsy there...
  16. I think every celiac should carry, not just an emergency medical card, but a card called a "UDUMB" card. This stands for "U Dont Understand My Body" card. This card should have answers to frequently asked questions and comments that people make. It will make life simpler for every celiac and gluten intolerant. These cards should be highly customizable. ...
  17. Thats weird idk why it did that.youre right it doesnt measure inflammation it detects possible autoimmune markers. Anyway this one site explained an Inflammatory response as: a response of the body to an injurious agent. It said ANA showed the markers our body creates to what it views as an invader. Hhhhsorry about that Yeah my docordered...
  18. Wheat allergy was taken out of the question quickly. He tested me for that quickly. I do carry an epipen with me at all times and always show people now to use it just in case. I felt much better today when i woke up. I think in large because i ate gluten early in the day yesterday and slept very well last night. He wrote me several prescriptions including...
  19. Thanks raven..and everybody! I am now considering myself a "self-diagnosed celiac" I really wish the fam would wake up tho because many people in my family i think have symptoms. My grandmother on my mother's side hardly eats now. She is super skinny with a big distended abdomen. She has diabetes and non-hodgkins lymphoma. My mother has chronic fatigue, diarrhea...
  20. You know wnat you're right. Either way it is a poison. How could i be so stubborn! I am gonna speak with my old doctor and see if she will diagnose me and if not idc. I am torturing and harming my body to prove something i already know. I have to be honest this is purging right now because i think a large part of my determination to be diagnosed comes from...
  21. You guys arecompletely right but im in quite a predicament. My allergy doc is the one who started me getting tested for celiac, however, he does not appear to be up to speed on the fact that gluten intolerance and celiac are different and that it is necessary to be on a gluten diet to have a chance of accurate search results. I really need to find a new general...
  22. Skylark Thanks for catching what could be a miss understanding. Certainly wouldnt want to lead someone astray. By inflammatory response i was referring to the body's "over response" and unnatural response that causes damage to our tissues. I know it works by seeing by detecting unnatural antibodies. Here is a link: Open Original Shared Link
  23. Oops i thought everybody spoke portuguese lol! No my computer automatically translated it too. Sorry guys
  24. Lol thats cool. Trust me, i wont even look back once im done with this test I cant imagine why anyone diagnosed would continue to poison himself. Life is so much better without it and there are plenty alternatives these days. When i was gluten free the only thing i missed was moist bread but now the smell nauseates me.
