  1. Its interesting you suggest strep. A few years ago when i was 18 i had a brief time when my urine turned cherry coke red. I went to the doctor and she looked at the back of my throat and said it looked like cottage cheese. It tested negative for strep and i was negative to mono. I never got an explanation other than maybe i had a virus with absolutely no...
  2. Oh no i havent got tested yet. Hmmm i wonder how it came across that way. I am getting my test done at the end of next month
  3. My lymphnodes are swollen! Omgoodness i am only 16 days into glutening and last night i kept trying to wake up b/c i wasnt breathing. This is Very scary. This i know is putting even more stress on my heart because i have rhinitis and now my swollen lymphnodes in my neck are making it even harder to breathe, as if i am already not fatigued enough from my body...
  4. MistyRG My doctor ordered a celiac panel as well as ANA and quite a few other tests. I did some research and learned that ANA is a test that allows doctors to see how much of an inflammatory response with respect to certain markers, celiac causes inflammatory response I hope you dont worry too much over potentially having another autoimmune disease. Also...
  5. I found this article online while I was researching gluten and effect on appetite: Open Original Shared Link I thought it was interesting that it directly oppses the idea that whole wheat will help everyone lose weight because of fiber. Americans have been consuming large amounts of wheat products for decades and the obesity rate has only steadily...
  6. Too true. Well at the least i know i definitely need to show my doc and see what other prescriptions he will put me on lol. I still have a bunch of prescriptions i still havent even "cashed" yet Might as well add to the stack. Thx guys!
  7. I use a tablet on a secure server. I encountered the same exact thing last night on a post where an individual had posted several photibucket links. When i clicked on it, every one of her links took me to this random site but it was an older post and several other ppl had commented back to her in a serious convo so idt its ppl trying to advertise either...
  8. Wow thank you for your input. I realized that since i have severely chronic dry skin and already use a cocoa and shea butter lotion with two or three times a day, it may be soothing the irritation to some degree. Should i stop doing that and let it run its course so i can show my doc? Btw- I didnt mean to post this topic twice....thats the gospel truth...
  9. Hey everybody, I am a two weeks into a gluten challenge and what I used to think were heat or friction bumps are now spreading up the back side of my forearm. It is very dry like alligator bumps and the skin around it is beginning to become flaky. It is now mildly itchy from time to time and moderately burns from time to time. They are not red or inflamed...
  10. That is very good. I wish my dentist would have thought, "This is odd; this girl is only ten and has enamel deficiency."He just mentioned it to me after my complaining of my teeth staying stained even though i dont drink tea or coffee.
  11. That is insane! It is ironic that medical doctor is the highest regarded profession and yet many of them dont pay any attention to what they are doing with people. It is like ordering soup and getting a bowl full of broth, a bowl of carrots, a bowl of uncooked chicken, a bowl of spices... It just makes no sense to me. We got each other though on this forum...
  12. Oh and i was very pleased to learn that Hunts has many gluten free sauces.Classico brand is very good. I personally like to make my own with water, tomato paste (which costs like 87
  13. I like corn and rice pasta. My mom bought it at walmart finally supporting me and its the best gluten-free pasta I ever had. Follow the directions for amount of time to boil and the trick is to cook in some sugar (i use stevia). Its so good. Pasta is the best, in my opinion when it is baked for a little bit with the sauce on it after thorougly draining excess...
  14. Hey gluten-free Lover. I started having problems with dairy too in this is what i did. I eliminated all dairy products from my diet and then reintroduced lactose free dairy milk. When i still had problems i realized it was more than likely the protein in milk rather than the sugar. That would mean even cheeses and anything dairy I have problems with, lactose...
  15. I just noticed you said old routine. Is that referring to the regularity or the type of exercise. I was gonna say you may need to switch up your routine to see results. And of course your metabolism is completely changed but im sure you will figure out what works for your new body overtime by trial and error. Just dont get discouraged Also be wary...
  16. If that was on your endoscopy report I would imagine that your doctor will go ahead and diagnose you. I am not a vet but idt i ever heard an ambiguous report to say "possible celiac" before.
  17. Roxie! Girl If i were as bad as you, I think I would just resort to going gliten free of my own accord and never looking back. Maybe when your family sees such a drastic change in your health, they will realizethat something is going on even without the paperwork to show it. I think my family can already tell a difference with me being back on gluten...
  18. Yeah I think that is a field of cow pies. There is absolutely nothing unhealthy about not eating wheat. Just because bread is fortified with vitamins doesnt mean we have to have it. I mean how did we survive before? Its not a necessity at all. Notice in this day and age there are a gazillion different supplements someone can take even if they dont get nutrients...
  19. Wow! I think doctors are either too busy or do not want to admit they are less than Gods and dont know everything. I also have had enamel deficiency since I was middle school. I am now almost twenty-two. I had hyperlordosis that was completely ignored for years and no one even mentioned as well as a degenerated disc at the base of my spine that no one...
  20. Haha! Oh my goodness that IS crazy. Kinda sad but yeah. Im starting to think with not being too terribly ill my life....besides rapid heart rate episodes...that i may just be badly intolerant. Thats when i start thinking about things like having cherry coke colored urine and being diagnosed with interstitial cystitis and my history of anemia. I mean the doctor...
  21. If you have been fine that long other then when you were exposed to gluten, i would definitely start eating it again and get back with the doctor to schedule testing. The less time you have been off, the less time you will have to eat it again before getting the blood test done.
  22. Popcorn should be safe (especially kettle corn) but be wary of seasoned popcorns that could have wheat based ingredients. Always read the labels. If it has something from wheat it will be listed. It is common for people going gluten free to discover new allergies and intolerances though. I just went through that myself. You may find it helpful to keep a food...
  23. Sorry about dipping in guys. Abbi000. I have pernicious anemia do to a lack of intrinsic factor. Intrinsic factor is something that if your gut is damaged, it will not be able to produce effectively. Intrinsic factor is needed to use b12. Besides that, even if someone does not lack intrinsic factor, a damaged gut can cause malabsorption of many things.
  24. Hi. Just a few pointers. Most people do a couple weeks at least of gluten free o give time to see if symptoms recur. After that time it may be recommended to reincorporate gluten to see its effect.. How long did you quit eating gluten?
