ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
Rachel--24 replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I have to agree with you on this. I'm not sure what it is but its mostly the older customers who shop in my store that have the STRONGEST perfumes on. I usually RUN away from them. Since I'm working at the dairy case for some reason the air circulation "pulls" the scents directly to the refridgeration (where I'm working). The customer might actually... -

Has anyone else here had the organic acid test? I was thinking that for me I think this test has been the most beneficial of all labwork I've had done over the past 6 years. ART and other energetic testing is high on my list but I havent found alot of labtests that I would consider "essential". Obviously Lyme tests and things like that are essential... -

Personally, I dont believe that any *one* type of toxin is responsible for all cases of MCS. For some people mold will be the major factor....but definately not everyone. I think its a combination of things....environmental triggers combined with genetics. You cant identify mercury as a cause of all cases of Autism.....same with mold, lyme, EMF... -

ARCHIVED Need Help - Positive Blood Work, Negative Gene Test
Rachel--24 replied to gfwarrior's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
If all of your bloodwork was positive, biopsy indicated Celiac and you've had a positive response to diet I would say that you DO have Celiac. As far as bloodwork....some are more specific to Celiac than others. You said that ALL results were extremely high. That would indicate Celiac Disease. I dont know what "very low" means with regards to the gene... -
ARCHIVED Allergy Tests

Hi, The test for lactose intolerance is the hydrogen breath test. If you think lactose intolerance might be an issue you can request this test. -
This sounds like you may be reacting to toxic mold. Have you considered this? The symptoms you describe can be caused by exposure to mold. The fact that they are set off in specific areas (where mold may be found) makes it seem like a strong possibility. Just something to look into.

I would think so too. I remember asking Anna (my BioSET lady) if people ever have *just* a co-infection?? I think she said it was possible (anything is possible) but highly unlikely. Same with someone *just* having Lyme...with no co-infections......highly unlikely. I would be curious about what Dr. H. (IgeneX) or other Lyme literate's would say about... -

From Carla's link.... Ummmm.....is this why my gold earings turn my lobes black sometimes?? I stopped wearing rings a few years ago for the same reason. I know its because of the metal toxicity....but its definately not because my system is eliminating mercury.....because that just aint happening. Although it could be a result... -

Enterolab cannot diagnose Celiac Disease. Its basically a food intolerance test (Celiac is an autoimmune disease)....so it can tell you whether or not there is a sensitivity to gluten....but it cannot give you a diagnosis. It wont tell you whether or not the sensitivity is because he has Celiac Disease, or bacteria overgrowth....or something else. Enterolab... -

Yes, its possible (and very common) to have Lyme with no knowledge of previous exposure....and no tell tale sign (such as bulls-eye rash). The majority of people I know who have chronic Lyme were not aware that they had been exposed....and were not considering Lyme as a possibility for symptoms....but were later diagnosed with positive bloodtests. Also... -

Totally possible. Actually most people with chronic Lyme do not recall having a bite, rash or flu-like symptoms. Not everyone develops a rash after being bit....its common to not experience any of these tell-tale signs and yet still be infected. -
ARCHIVED Doctor Ordered Mri Of Brain
Rachel--24 replied to MyMississippi's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I'm joining this thread a little late. I had a brain MRI early on in my illness....when my neurological symptoms were at their worst. Thankfully, nothing showed up. Since then I've come accross many people who have had the UBO's show up in their MRI.....which later turned out to be caused by Lyme Disease. Most were previously misdiagnosed with... -

His symptoms could be caused by Lyme infection. Fibro is very often caused by Lyme.....and correct diagnosis with proper treatment resolves those symptoms. Dysbiosis (overgrowth of bad bacteria and/or yeast) can be a consequence of a suppressed immune system....also very common for people with Lyme or other chronic hidden infections. Yes, its true that... -

Look at page 14....specific meds used for Ehrlichia treatment....(meds for other infections are also listed). Open Original Shared Link Is it typical for a tick to carry a single co-infection with no Borrelia?? I didnt think that was very common?? Anyone know this? -

I found some info. on the "inflammation" test I'm doing. I had never heard of these but they're called "pterins"......and these are what will be measured in the urine (Neopterin and Biopterin). Carla, apparantly it has something to do with cytokines and activation of the immune system. The pterins are "markers" for this. Open Original Shared... -

I've had SpectraCell....it was for vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants.....a measure of those things. I also had the CDSA....but it was a few years ago. It told me I had dysbiosis but didnt identify any specific pathogens. -

April, I actually experience this when I get really toxic! I dont know if in my case its caused by specific allergens or just toxicity in general though. My handwriting used to be very neat.....my writing is very sloppy now.....even if I concentrate really hard. If my "bucket" is overflowing I tend to misspell alot of words....usually leaving... -

Rachel--24 replied to alexandra512's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I recommend getting tested for Celiac (full panel), once testing is out of the way start the diet. If symptoms persist check into Lyme. No, you're doctor is not correct in saying this cannot be caused by Lyme. Light sensitivity and other eye symptoms can occur with Lyme.....same with sound sensitivity. I had severe eye symptoms (the worst pain I... -

Ok....this is the stuff the new doctor is suppossed to be checking when I see her. This is the list Dr. P. faxed over to her office. 1. Check if methionine -->SAMe is blocked. If so what will help antivirals? 2. Check if SAH -->Homocysteine is blocked. What will help? 3. Check if Lyme, viruses or methylation impairment is preventing the Hg... -

Carla, I was gonna say the same thing about the weight loss. I lost alot of weight when I reduced my exposure to toxins....it wasnt "healthy" weight though.....it was all fluid retention and inflammation from the toxins. For me it was alot more than 4 lbs. though. I was so full of fluid and my wieght would fluctuate sometimes close to 10 lbs. a day... -

Yeah....I'm expecting it to be normal. He said when the block is in that area its usually caused by virus......and I think thats really common with the autistic kids. I'm sure it can be an issue for some adults...but definately more common in the kids I would have to assume. I assume most of the adults he sees are probably Lyme patients. I think its the... -
