  1. I havent mentioned it to him...but now that you guys will be going to Germany I'll definately tell him (I know your LN username). I wish I had something exciting coming up....but nooooo....nothing till October. I think I'll look through my mail...maybe I'll find something from Dr. Amy.
  2. I notice I feel better when I take breaks from the computer. Been feeling really good the past few days. I think its a combination of the reduction of EMF exposure....plus other factors. Anyways....I feel pretty good....ate lots of bad food though.
  3. I havent read yet either.....gotta catch up over the weekend. Just wanted to say YAY. How fun! You'll like him....he's a really nice guy. I cant wait to hear all the details. I'm feeling impatient right now because my new voodoo lady (Dr. T) is not so easy to schedule with. I had heard (from someone who hasnt seen her) that...
  4. Nora, This is actually a serious problem. Dr. K feels its even worse than Lyme, Heavy metals, etc. Some of us have been tested for sensitivities to EMF's. I was tested and it was not a huge problem but I did have some amount of stress from EMF's and was told to stop using my electric blanket at night. Kassandra has significantly cut down on...
  5. All of the symptoms you listed are common in people with Lyme Disease or other chronic infections. Also, a high white blood cell count can be caused by infection. Your Celiac results may have been negative but gluten intolerance is also common for those with Lyme or chronic gut infections. Its also definately possible to have more than one condition...
  6. Yes, Lyme is caused by a bacteria. Celiac is an autoimmune disease. They are two different things. Celiac is triggered by a "stressor"....in some cases it may very well be triggered by Lyme. If a person has the infection and is also genetically susceptible to Celiac....the disease *may* be triggered that way. However, many people have Lyme without...
  7. Alot of it is genetics. Also, environment, diet, lifestyle, exposure to toxins, etc. Example: My problems surfaced after exposure to mercury. Alot of people can have the same level of exposure and not suffer the same consequences that I did. Now, I'm not saying that its "safe" for anyone...because its not....however, some people have genetic weaknesses...
  8. Thanks for your post and I'm glad you got to the root of your health problems. I know of many people with a similar story. Toxic mold is harmful for everyone however, some people are more susceptible due to genetics. The immune system can become severley compromised (as you mentioned) and this increases the risk of infection. Lyme, candida, viruses...
  9. Just wanted to say that although I dont have any children...the doctors that I see for my own condition are primarily treating autistic children. They do put these kids on the gluten-free/cf diet and it does help them....somtimes very dramatically. These arent children of wealthy famous people.....just regular folks who keep their kids on the diet because...
  10. You might try calling some of the ND's or holistic doctors/dentists in your area. They might be able to point you in the right direction.
  11. I definately agree that there are other things going on....but adding gluten back in may have just put more stress on your system and now the symptoms have increased. If your digestive symptoms werent as bad while gluten-free....it might be better to go back to that until you figure out what else you might have going on.
  12. Maybe a problem with calcium transport/deficiency in the body? Open Original Shared Link
  13. Excess zonulin keeps the "gates" open. Its causes the intestinal lining to become more permeable. This does not help to keep things out.....it allows undigested food, bacteria, toxins, etc. to enter the bloodstream.
  14. April, Maybe its because you are no longer gluten-free?? That might be why you have the bloating and yuckiness again. As far as BioSet vs. NAET....personally, I think its more important to find the best practitioner. People get good results from either one but the skills/experience of the practitioner is what I would look at first.
  15. So I'm pretty sure that sulfur/sulfites are one of the main contributers to my constipation issues. ...and then oxaltes seem to have the opposite effect..... loose stools or D. Maybe this is why I was regular while eating all that chocolate ice cream?? Dairy = sulfur Chocolate = oxalates For me dairy is usually causing constipation...
  16. I'm sorry Andrea....I know how much you wanted to get this taken care of. Glad you're going to be able to stay on the binders in the meantime. 2 years goes by pretty fast...it'll be here before you know it. You were going to wait for your dentist.....so maybe now he'll wait for you. I still dont have my appt. I gotta call back on Thurs. Its...
  17. I doubt that it would be a cause for your Graves Disease. Something was already causing the Fibro pain...so most likely one of your underlying issues (Mercury? Copper? Lyme? Some other toxin or bug?) had a role in triggering the Graves. Norepinephrine is elevated in Graves...so are the thyroid hormones (T4/T3). Those things dont cause Graves Disease...
  18. Hmmm...how long have you been taking the Questran?? Seems like when I read up on cholestyramine one of the side effects was constipation. It said it could cause or worsen constipation....so I was kinda figured right then and there that it wasnt gonna work for me. If you havent been taking the Questran for very long it could be part of the problem...
  19. Andrea, Thanks for the reminder. Suddenly we got busy right at 10:30....I got out late today. I called the doctors office....and they were closed. Closed Mondays and Fridays so I'll call tomorrow...hopefully there are still some time slots available. Hope the storm isnt too bad!
  20. Oh yeah...Kassandra....are you taking any type of toxin binder? I was always told that the parasites are packing lots of metals. They are holding onto alot of mercury and other metals and when you start killing the parasites those metals are released. Toxin binders are highly recommended. Maybe you can talk to your NAET practitioner about that?...
  21. I only took it for 3 days so I didnt notice any constipation from it (plus I'm always on the C side anyway). I didnt notice any stomach pain from it either....but I dont think I could have handled it longterm. Just the 3 days was enough for me. I didnt repeat the cycle because I felt like my body wasnt ready for it.
  22. After contemplating this....I think I have to put "motorcycle rides" on the bottom of my list of possible treatments. If they're that effective at stirring up toxins...its probably not good for me. With my pathway being all broken and stuff....where will all the toxins go?? So yeah....I think I better leave everything where it is.....try...
  23. Thats funny! Motorcycles for detox!! WOO-HOO...the next great discovery for lymphatic drainage!! All of the OMG'ers will be riding Harley's instead of jumping on rebounders, getting lymph massages or doing the "fish" dance on a chi machine. Too bad I dont like motorcycles. Almost fell off when I was a teenager....they scare me...
  24. June 30th! Wow...and I was freaking out because my OAT results took 4 weeks! That seems like an unreasonably long time for test results. I hope I never have to wait that long for anything to come back... because I obviously dont have that much patience.
  25. Thanks Carla. Donna, we'll have to remember this for when we're all better. We'll have to meet up for Palomino bellini's.
