    I had Graves. This is how they were able to tell....first my TSH was very low and my FT4 and FT3 were elevated. They did more testing and I had antibodies. Then they did an iodine-uptake test. The thyroid absorbs iodine....in order to function it *requires* iodine. So they gave me a dose of iodine. I left for a couple hours....went back and they measured...

    This is what happens with me as well. I dont think I'm getting *more* sensitive though. I think I've been sensitive to everything all along.......its just more noticeable to me after I cut it out for awhile. So that when I eat it again I can really feel it.

    I dont know a ton about this....even though I should since I have autoimmune thyroid disease. It means that your body is producing antibodies against your thyroid. Its more auto-immune stuff. I keep thinking more and more that all this autoimmune stuff...Celiac, thyroid, RA, etc....starts occurring when the immune system is under alot of stress...

    I dont...mainly cuz I dont know what Kielbasa is?? I dont know what Klebsiela is either?? Is it a parasite.....ummmm I mean....is it a "bug"? Did you ever get tested for H. Pylori before? I know HN tested me for it and also the GI did when I had my endoscopy....but I didnt have it.

    Susan...OMG...I cant believe you MADE marshmallows!! That is AWESOME....I've never even heard of anyone making marshmallows....I thought they were just something that *only* came in bags. I LOVE marshmallows....they'd be GREAT with my hot ice cream. Maybe next year I'll be eating them again.

    I brought mine to Bioset last night. She looked at it and said "You better start out slow". She tested it and said "2 drops....thats it." I told her it says to take one drop and then slowly increase. She said "yeah....you can increase after a couple days...increase to 2 drops a day."     Whats Sudoku??? Quick drive-by.... Anyone know if Imagine broths (come in a box) are still gluten-free??? I thought it used to say it on the box but I might be confused with another brand.     Jess...I dont think an EM rash (which is the tell-tale sign of Lyme) would last for as long as you've had yours and go unchanged. Anything is possible but since you feel fine and didnt get any symptoms at all...its probably not a tick bite. Just be aware if you *do* start to get any symptoms in the future.     Angst, If you suspect you might have Lyme you should see a Dr. who specializes in Lyme Disease. The tests arent very sensitive at all. Igenix has the most sensitive test.

    Judy, They need to figure out *why* you're getting fungal infections, candida, etc. It happens when the immune system is run down. What is the point of the gluten challenge??? To make you feel worse and drag your immune system down even further??? I agree...but why go BACK on gluten and REVERSE the healing you've already done??

    I have one of those "bagless" ones. The dust and dirt just goes into a plastic thingy and you dump it out. I think I just need to replace filters....but where the heck do I get them???

    I think I might go pick up my Samento now. I'm scared to start taking it though. At least if I buy it I can take it to BioSET tomorrow and have them test the real thing to make sure I can have it. I dont wanna get sick right before Xmas.....and I dont want to be wondering if its a Herx or just a reaction to the stuff.
