ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

No...you didnt miss anything. I just tend to distance myself from people while I go through stuff. I wasnt the most "upbeat" person around the holidays so I've mostly kept to myself for weeks now. I just talked to him last night....he's still the same supportive and caring guy. -

Peace....I'm behind you in treatments...I think I've had close to 20. Do you get re-sensitized to *everything* or just certain things like dairy?? Do they check to see if you're still holding your treatments everytime?? If I go through all the treatments and I just get re-sensized to everything I'll probably stop the treatments. Maybe I'll see if she can... -

Donna...I stare at the shelves too.....and yeah...I still love eating. Just wish I could eat MORE! I stared at the shelves where the pumpkin pie was for a LONG time. I knew they didnt have any cuz the shelves were fully stocked....whereas the last time they were almost empty but still had 2 pumpkin pies. A guy from the bakery came and asked me... -

Yeah....and when I first asked Kaiser to test me a couple years ago they said Lyme wasnt common here....only if I'd been visiting the East Coast could I have gotten it. Kaiser = the suckiest HMO ever Lyme is actually all over CA....right here in the Bay Area there are support groups, LLMD's, lots of people with Lyme Disease. On the Lyme message... -

Happy New Year to everyone!!! I'm on day 6 of my Cats Claw and havent had a Herx or anything. I went up to 3 drops yesterday (even though I'm not suppossed to) ...So far nothing...I actually feel pretty good. I know I was scared of herxing but now I'm wondering why I'm not. I'm wondering what will happen in a couple weeks when I have... -
I think it could easily end up in the meat by accident. When I was a teenager I worked in a sandwich as a "slicer". One time I ran my finger too close to the blade while slicing pastrami. It sliced off my nail and a tiny bit of my fingertip. I looked for it in the meat and couldnt find it. I had to go to the emergency to get it checked out. Someone else must...

This is great....I'm gonna have to try this on my cat who's been scratching and throwing himself against the door crying all night long. He HATES the vacuum...hehe. I've had the cat for about 13 years. He actually belongs to my ex. When we were together the cat would sleep in our bed....usually on my pillow...right on top of my head. I would always... -

Awww....that just made me tear up...poor little guy. After he's been on the diet awhile he should feel alot better. I'm sure his numbers were much higher 4 months ago and are coming down as he's healing. I agree about having your daughter tested as well. -
ARCHIVED Do I Have Celiac?
Rachel--24 replied to Britt Dubendris's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
If you're going to use Enterolab at this point I would say to only get the gene testing to see if its possible for you to have Celiac. You already tested positive for gluten intolerance so you dont really need to pay to have Enterolab tell you what you already know. I think the gene test alone is around $150. Enterolab cant diagnose Celiac...they can only... -

Rachel--24 replied to TygerCubs's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
This stands out to me because I have Lyme Disease and have been doing quite a bit of research on the subject. Many many people with Lyme are misdiagnosed with MS because of the lesions on the brain. Lyme causes these lesions too. Also steroids are used in treatment of MS which can be disastrous for a person who actually has Lyme. The steroids will WORSEN... -

Who remembers the ALIEN BABY incident??? Could a "spastic" colon have been what the lady was seeing on the ultrasound that day?? I used to try to keep my TSH as close to 1 as possible but it didnt seem to help me so I havent been as compulsive about it. That was BEFORE I made diet changes and everything else. Maybe it will help if I try to monitor... -

Holy Heck.....I just read some good info that I posted on another thread by Peace. I'm just gonna do a copy and paste from what I posted From all that I've read about Lyme and thyroid issues....they kind of go hand-in-hand. Its probably why I got Graves Disease to begin with. Lyme can have a big impact on the endocrine system as a whole. Treatment... -
ARCHIVED Did Anyone's Constipation Get Worse?
Rachel--24 replied to Anonymousgurl's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have the same problem and it seems like most of the people with Lyme experience it as well. My Dr. said the bacteria likes a cold environment....all pathogens do....so the Babesia would also prefer a low body temp. He told me to make sure I always stay warm beacuse it will help my body fight the infection. He also said that the lower my body temp gets the... -

Hey Claire! Glad you had a good Xmas! Getting "lit" sounds pretty good to me. I wont be having any alcohol anytime soon though. I get really bad reactions to Quinoa cereal. Its pretty immediate and my face and mouth starts burning really bad. I think its because of the natural "soapy chemical" that is on the Quinoa. They say you're suppossed... -

Me too! Susan, Its wonderful that the holidays went so smoothly for you. Sounds like you've been doing really well at work and also keeping busy outside of work. I'm happy that you had a great Xmas and well-prepared meals (by thoughtful people) that didnt get you sick. Hope good things continue for you in "07. -

I'm definately no expert on this and I dont know if the Babesia could be causing this or not. I used to have the same problem with only gaining weight in my stomach and the rest of me still being skinny....whatever I gained was either fluid retention or bloating. I would get puffy everywhere from inflammation. Eating alot of fruit would be really... -
If its *all* or most bottled waters....I would suspect the plastics. Yes, chemicals from plastic do leech into bottled water....especially if it sits in the sun or something like that. If its only certain brands...it could be something they add into the water. I cant handle Dasani water cuz of the addded minerals and I react to bottled water if its been...

I agree....it can be dangerous and you dont know how your body will react. I used to post on CureZone and tried some of the things recommended...none of which helped me. I never did a flush though....I was too scared. There are people on that site who will do some crazy things and sometimes I think they may be causing more harm then good. They... -

Lyme specialists usually have their own practice so most other Dr.s arent knowledgeable about Lyme. They will do *standard* traetment and that is *it*. Standard treatment is bulls-eye rash = 21 days of antibiotics. If you still have symtpoms after that time....you're pretty much up a creek. Insurance companies dont want to pay for more than 21 days... -

I did a super strict candida diet for four months. This was over a year ago....long before I got a good Dr. I was doing it on my own and I only ate some veggies (nothing starchy or sweet), egs (until I got intolerant), meat and fish. I only drank water. I didnt have any sugars at all during that time. I felt the best while I was on the diet but I was...
