  1. Carla, Another thing thats really important and I'm sure you already know but drink LOTS of water to flush out the toxins and help with the herxes. I'm not good at drinking water so I'm putting 4 or 5 water bottles on the counter and I just know that by the time I go to bed they need to all be gone. I forgot until right now....so they are still...
  2. Wow...my directions are way different. I have to take only one drop per day and its in 4 ounces of water. It says sensitive people may need to stay on only one drop for awhile. But the directions say a person can take 1-5 drops per day...as instructed by their Dr. I wonder if my Dr. will have me going over 5 drops?? 5 drops seems like nothing but...
  3. I was negative for Celiac as well. I tested positive through Enterolab and have the sensitivity genes. Not that I believe those genes tell me anything....since everyone has them. I did test positive for antibodies and Ttg through Enterolab. Gluten didnt turn out to be the *main* cause of my illness....however it *became* a problem (as did alot of...
  4. Because most Dr.'s wouldnt consider 2.966 as Hypo. Its within the normal range. Some alternative or Naturopath Dr.'s would be more likely to say anything over 2.0 *might* be Hypo and they would be more likley to offer treatment. Not so much the mainstream dr.'s though. Also if his T4 and T3 arent low and he's not experiencing typical hypo symptoms its not...
  5. Ummm...DUH...maybe I should read the posts more thoroughly before replying.
  6. Andrea....it didnt come in a box?? Was it the display tree? I didnt know they had bags for the trees. I'm really excited you guys got one for a decent price though. I know you really wanted one. I think my mom got the "once in a lifetime" deal.
  7. Actually, I think this board has helped me tremendously as far as dealing with this. The friends I've made here and just having such a strong support group of people who really can relate and understand all this.....its helped me ALOT. I dont feel quite as alone. I'm not a teenager but I can definately understand that being sick during that time would...
  8. Wow!! I never heard of Catnip for Babesia! I'll have to look that one up. I tested negative for all co-infections but will likely retest later since they dont always show up. I've heard nearly everyone with Lyme has at least one co-infection. I'm worried that if I have Babesia nothing will work for the Lyme until the co-infection gets addressed. I've...
  9. Thanks Andrea! I'm really gonna stick to this....I need to get my health back and find my happiness. I'm on a mission....I was sure you'd approve! About the tree....I'm glad you got such a great deal! Check this out...my mom has a real nice tree but didnt put it up this year. They had bought a new TV and the TV is bigger than their old one...
  10. Yeah...I didnt Rachel the chips!! I'm happy that everyone had a nice holiday! I did well with the food....nothing bad happened! I even ate most of my pumpkin pie....not all at once though. There is actually some left still! Will wonders never cease.... Donna.....that was one HECK of a good pie! I dont know if its just cause I havent had any...
  11. I'm really happy that you're seeing someone knowledgeable about Lyme. My Dr. is an M.D. who specializes in homeopathic medicine as well. He mixes both types of modalities...so he does use traditional medicine as well. I was REALLY sick for over 2 years and had to be off work during that time. I couldnt function well and my mind wasnt too clear...
  12. As far as I know there is no specific panel for intolerances. Mainstream dr.'s (at least none that I saw) dont run tests for food intolerance. An allergist can do traditional allergy tests to see if there are allergies to any of these foods. Gluten Intolerance however, isnt an "allergy" so cannot be diagnosed through allergy testing. They can test you...
  13. I can relate to everything you've written. I feel like its hard to move forward when I'm constantly dragged down by illness. I think I've forgotten what its like to just wake up normal and live life the way I used to live it. Its like I went from being happy and care-free to the complete opposite and some days I'm scared it'll always be this way. I think...
  14. Oh...I also have adrenal fatigue due to the Lyme disease but I dont think the adrenal problem caused my nightsweats. Reason being....I dont get the nightsweats anymore even though I've been sick and undiagnosed for 4 years....and my adrenals are probably more fatigued now then they were at the beginning of my illness. My nightsweats were occurring almost...
  15. Hi, I had night sweats which were caused by hyperthyroidism....they were not severe though. Later I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and had my thyroid ablated. I would agree with FiddleFaddle in that night sweats are more indicative of Hyperthyroidism. My night sweats became more severe even after thyroid treatment.....to the point where my entire...
  16. Georgie, I dont know anything about Aspergers.....just wanted to say I'm sorry you're having to go through this during the holidays.
  17. Sheeesh...I just heard my brother's wife ask my mom "Can Rachel can sing???" My Mom said..."No...Rachel has a horrible voice!." I'm like "Excuse me???" My mom says...."Oh apparantly her hearing is OK." Sheeesh.
  18. Driving by again.....havent had dinner yet....its cooking. I ate some bad things but only in small amounts. I tested out my pumpkin pie....its really good...no noticeable reaction to it so far. I doubt I could get away with eating the whole pie though. I ate one piece of cheese. Cheese gives me migraines so hopefully I'm ok with just the one...
  19. Merry Christmas to all of Rachelville!!!! Just driving by to say I love all you guys!! Hope everyone is having the merriest Xmas!! Will be back tomorrow...no doubt reporting about what the pumpkin pie has done to me.
  20. OMG...Donna , which pie did you get??? You must have been shopping at WF!! The only food I'm really sad about not eating during the holidays is pumpkin pie....with whip cream. The thought of not having pumpkin pie actually has brought tears to my eyes. So last year (Thanksgiving) they had one type of gluten-free pumpkin pie...it was some kind of...
  21. You ate all the gifts!! Happy Lyme bugs indeed! It all sounds really yummy. I'm mostly too scared to indulge in goodies. My mom has all these treats out right now....she bought tons of holiday snacks and chocolates, candies...cookies, etc. I looked at all the stuff....then looked at her like this . She said she doesnt worry about me...
  22. Tiffany, Congrats on your first year of being gluten-free! Thanks for the kind words....I agree with everyone else in that YOU are also very helpful to members of this board. I know that you have helped me in the past with your pharmacuetical knowledge. Its great that we can all help each other out in different ways...through our experiences, knowledge...
  23. LMAO....Carla, I woke up this morning thinking about what Rinne wrote re: starting out on 1/4 drop. I was laying in bed thinking how in the heck do I get 1/4 drop??? Like what am I supposed to do....try to sqeeze out less than a drop?....lick the tip of the dropper? WTH?? I came back on here to ask the stupidest question and then found your post...
  24. Judy...I'm so glad you had such a great day.....it sounds really relaxing and perfect! Thats cool about your chiro wearing the Celiac bracelet you gave her....and how great to have your son there with you for your b-day and for Xmas. Yeah.....its about time you learned how to ask for what you want! I just have one question though....are you...
  25. I remember reading that someone should be off antibiotics for at least 2 weeks before testing. I dont know if it depends on the type of antibiotics taken. Antibiotics suppress the immune system....so if you're taking antibiotics that have no affect on Lyme but are weakening your immune system....maybe that could have a negative affect on testing??...
