  1. Loraleena, I read that too....my test was positive for IgG. I dont know how my doctor can know for sure that its a past infection...the results say IgG can be for current or past infection. He was totally unconcerned with it though....so was the Igenix guy. I'm thinking it must be common for most people to show up positive for past infection of HHV...
  2. Well I actually did something productive this evening. I was running errands and had to stop by my friends work....so on my way there I happen to look out my window and see IGeniX. I had my test results in my trunk so I pulled over and went in. I told them I wanted someone to interperet my results for me. The guy was really nice. He brought me...
  3. Yeah...thats why I was confused. The fatigue, depression, memory problems, joint pains, muscle aches...every symptom I had I was attributing to being Hypo....even though I really wasnt Hypo....my labs were normal. All I knew was that I had thyroid disease, they nuked my thyroid and my symptoms matched those on a hypothyroid list. So I just thought...
  4. Ok...talk about going baaaaaack....I went WAY back this time. I found my very first post EVER on a message board....it was a thyroid board....heres my post. Carla....this is in regards to our discussion about herxing.... I really think maybe I was herxing or something. Theres no way I should have been going through that everytime I increased...
  5. Laura....I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. Dont be so hard on yourself though....it happens to all of us....tomorrow will be better. Plus.....you have Eric there now....so there is still reason to smile even on the worst of days.
  6. I feel like garbage most of the time too....just gets worse.....you're not missing out by not having flare-ups...trust me on that.
  7. Hmmm....I think my symptoms worsen before and during ovulation....but then again...maybe I'm not knowing exactly when I'm ovulating. I bought a book on all this stuff when I was trying to plan getting pregnant but then I got sick weeks later so never actually read much of the book....I'm pretty clueless about my "cycle". Anyways I wonder if...
  8. Luteal phase??? Is this something to do with ovulation? Miso....nope I know I cant have that right now. I dont know when we're gonna get started on the foods but I hope its soon. I'm kind of tired of my same 5 foods. This last week I added in a few Amy's dinners. I know its not a great idea but I need some variation....at least for a week or...
  9. I have no idea what symptoms are associated with radiation poisoning. Another thing to do a search on.... The bioset lady said the that if radiation didnt get detoxed it could be damaging any of my organs. I dont know if there's any way to know if radiation is a problem or not. I think of all my organs my liver is just the biggest problem...
  10. Too late....I'm totally EXCITED about this! I'ts WAY cute and PERFECT that it happened on your Birthday. Nuff said. I wonder if he likes cabins though??
  11. No...its not just when on antibiotics. It can happen through the entire illness. I've had 4 week flare-ups the whole time I've been sick. I've always blamed it on hormones...this was back when I was *convinced* this was some thyroid related thing. Even though I "grew" out of that line of thinking I still always blamed it on hormones....cuz I couldnt think...
  12. Carla, Yeah....my Dr. thinks the Wetern Blots would be positive after antibiotics but I didnt ask him about Samento. Obviously I'm not going on antibiotics any time soon....I do believe its the right choice to hold off on those but I'm also impatient. I know that everyone says that the IND means "not negative" but all I see is "NOT POSITIVE". ...
  13. Yup. Well....the BioSET lady had heard all about my troubles. She went through all of the testing all over again.....to see if I wasnt holding my treatments. Whatever didnt stick I got re-treated for. Some of my treatments I was holding (according to the computer). I had 2 treatments for chemicals this past month...one was all of the household...
  14. It very well could be the grape juice. I'm sensitive to sulfites and react to grape juice because its high in sulfites. Alot of the gluten-free foods or healthier type products are sweetened with grape juice or other fruit juices. If you were sensitive to sulfites you would also react to red wine, dried fruits and vegetables, dried coconut, etc. Anything...
  15. I use a small Coleman cooler...it has a handle and its easy to carry around. I'm not sure exactly how big it is but it says it can hold a 12-pack plus ice. I usually just put whatever needs to kept cold in the cooler with some ice....or sometimes I put ice-packs in there too. If I was just needing something to put my lunch in I would use a regular soft...
  16. This is from your link.... This clinical trial is focused on IgE allergies and yet they recognize that electrodermal testing is used for evaluating food intolerance rather than to diagnose allergies in the traditional sense??? So how are the results of this "trial" of any use to someone like me?? It doesnt tell me anything?? Also...I would...
  17. Rinne had mentioned something like this....some type of thing that you wear (like a bib)....filled with buckwheat and microwaveable. The only thing is it wouldnt *stay* warm all night like the blanket does. I had heard about electric blankets being bad for you but until my allergies calm down its the only thing that I've been able to use that doesnt...
  18. Hi Donna! Funny you should mention this because I just came from Mervyns....got my new blanket. They had electric mattress pads this time....I didnt see them last time. Anyways, I stared at them for a moment but decided to stick with the blanket cuz I had no idea what the mattress pad was??? Do you just sleep right on top of it or what?...
  19. Hi everyone.... Yes....HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our dear friend Susan.....who's Dingo's have forgotten her on her special day. Those darn selfish dingo's....I'm sure they'll be staring at her later on today....expecting a walk or something. Luara, I'm glad that you are keeping busy....getting in the holiday spirit and all that good stuff. We miss...
  20. I used to believe this was the case for me as well. I avoided salicylates, amines, glutamates, msg, all processed foods, etc. I also have environmental sensitivities as well. I dont believe that avoiding the chemicals "cures" diseases such as Lyme...or conditions such as candida. I believe that *something* has caused the detox pathways to not function...
  21. Her post was regarding the Failsafe Diet....it excludes natural occurring chemicals in foods as well as food dyes, msg, asaprtame and other harmful chemicals. On this diet wine would be completely out as it is extremely high in both salicylates and amines. If you dont have a problem with wine (especially red)....its unlikely you have a problem with...
  22. Susan...I got a new electric blanket....(you know....the whole keeping warm thing ). Anyways....ever since I got the blanket I have been sleeping soooo much. I dont wanna get out of bed for nothing.
  23. Happy Birthday Susan!! I'm sorry the Dingo's havent acknowledged your birthday....yet again...shame on those mud-tracking dingo's!! I hope you have FUN at work today....maybe the bosses will do something special for you today??? Are you gonna do anything to celebrate later?? Thanks for being you and for bringing so many laughs into our lives...
  24. I couldnt agree more! I didnt have luck with mainstream Dr.'s.....in fact I feel they were a hazard to my health. I didnt get anywhere when I saw a naturopath either. Nobody seemed to be able to help me. My current Dr. is an M.D. with nearly 30 years in internal medicine but he also studied chronic disease and more alternative types of treatment...
  25. Karen, I didnt have to sign anything like that. The BioSET clinic I go to seems like a pretty busy place. I schedule my appts. in advance because they get booked up. I guess I see that as a "good sign". The clinic is actually in the mall...which at first turned me off...I thought it was kind of "cheesy" that it was in the mall and I didnt want to go...
