My Dr. is starting me out on Samento (if I can tolerate it). I cant take antibiotics right now because of the candida situation and the whole state of disarray that my body is in. -

Carla, This is great news because now when you go to NY you wont have to waste time on testing or trying to determine whether you have it or not. You have your results....you dont need a clinical diagnosis....you can get straight to the important part...TREATMENT! HOORAY Good idea.....do you have time to get it done before you go... -

Yeah...they sent my positive results to the Dr. but they didnt send me my co-infection results and those were negative. I dunno....maybe its just random....sometimes they send them...sometimes they dont. -

Andrea.....I had a + on band 58 too. My IgG results were similar to my IgM so I never posted them but I was positive for 58 on the IgG. -

Carla....YAY...I am sooo happy for you! Thats great...you dont even have to question this one.....its positive by CDC standard. There is no mistake....WOO-HOO. I'm not celebrating that you have Lyme...just that you have a diagnosis. Congrats on getting an answer after all these years! I actually wasnt expecting your results to be clear.....I wonder... -

Wow Alison.....How cool is that! I remember hearing a story about a woman who had a lump in her breast....they found out it was cancer. She seeked out Dr.'s who practiced alternative methods of healing. The dr. told her to go gluten-free...she did...and the cancer went away. It was from a radio broadcast I listened to. I'll try to find it and... -

Alison...it sounds strange but it actually happens. I guess your mom's thyroid just said "You arent taking ME down!" Whatever was left of it must have just kept pumping out the hormones. Lots of people with Graves have had to actually repeat the RAI 2 or 3 times because it didnt get the job done and they were still hyper. They gave me a big... -

Georgie....I know I've told you this several times already but I had HYPERTHYROID. Hyperthyroid is an overactive thyroid.....in this case a person gets OVERHEATED. I was always warm and I'm sure this was due to my overactive thyroid gland. All of a sudden....even though I had HYPERTHYROID...I was FREEZING....I had CHILLS. I was NOT able to get warm and... -

I was suppossed to get the Samento from her. Claire....good luck with your BioSET treatments! Yes....we would love to hear how things are going.....looking forward... -

Creme anglaise?? It sounds fancy and sophisticated. I'm not sure what that is but the hot ice cream wasn't anything like the hot chocolate that you make with chocolate powder in a packet and some water (with some tiny marshmallows as a bonus) . Nope...THIS hot cocoa was thicker and creamier and DELICIOUS! It didnt even need marshmallows for... -

I hate to say....unless you were tested by Igenix lab in CA....the results you got were not reliable. This is why MANY MANY people are left with undiagnosed Lyme...they were not tested properly. ALOT of people on the Lyme message board were falsely diagnosed with MS. These white matter lesions that are seen in MRI's are seen in Lyme patients. I'm not saying... -
Yes.... bacteria, yeasts and parasites do favor a low body temp. However...they actually *cause* the low body temp. Heavy metal toxicity also causes low body temp. Since I got sick my body temp. went WAY down. At the time I even had an overactive thyroid which normally made me warmer than most people....but all of a sudden I was freezing. This...

WOOHOO!! You guys wont believe this but OMG...melted HOT ice cream is soooooo good! I had some on my lunch and I think it was the BEST hot chocolate I've ever had. The other day I found some organic egg nog at WF that so far I've actually been ok with. I only drink a small glass at a time but its great that I can have some....I totally... -

Yeah...I'm drinking hot water. I just microwave my regular bottled water and drink it hot. The Dr. wants me to drink my water this way too. I NEVER drink refridgerated water anymore....not since I got sick. I have a major aversion to it too....my water is always room temp. Prior to getting sick I drank everything COLD....I used to use those cups... -

Wow...I must be WAY more critical over myself because I swear...all I could think about was how skinny I looked. On top of that...my head gets a little swollen from reactions....so not only was I a skeleton...but I was a skeleton with an oversized head!! -

Laura, I agree with everyone else....you looked beautiful in the wedding pics. I didnt think you looked too thin at all but I can relate to how you're feeling about the weight loss and just not really feeling like you recognize the person you see in the mirror. I only have a couple pictures from when I was around 95 lbs. last year...I HATE looking at... -

I agree with Tiffany. They CAN identify auto-immune reactions that are occurring within the body. Something has gone wrong somewhere to *cause* this type of response from the immune system but it doesnt change the fact that in the case of auto-immune disease....the immune sytem is attacking the body. Sometimes this auto-immune response may cease when the... -

So one of the most important things I learned today is that a higher body temp. means that everything in the body is working BETTER. This is my goal for the month....to see if I can really raise my temp. and reduce sensitivities and FEEL BETTER! -

Ok...I'm done with my Dr. appt. It went pretty well. My mom got the whole lesson about chemical sensitivities and what it does to my brain and how none of this is my fault. Oh.....how funny is this....I actually met the Better Health Guy (Scott) in the waiting room! Thats the guy I've been emailing recently. I thought that was pretty cool....my... -

ARCHIVED Marshall Protocol?
Rachel--24 replied to HawkFire's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Yes....this is more of a correct interpretation. The auto immune response is real and can be a direct consequence of the bacteria or viral infection. *Some* diseases are actually symptoms of the infection....as is often the case with undiagnosed Lyme. A misdiagnosis of RA or MS can occur because symptoms of Lyme mimick these diseases. In these cases symptoms... -

Laura, this is the test that I'm familiar with. Its the same one that Great Smokies runs. My mainstream Dr.'s had never even heard of Leaky Gut. You know....I got this face from them So...I'm pretty surprised they ran the test for you. I never tested for leaky gut because I felt like it was kind of pointless. I figured I probably have it but... -

Rachel--24 replied to ptkds's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I believe this is innacurrate. As Happygirl posted....the tTG is only one part of the panel. Many Celiacs do not have a positive tTG...many do not have a positive biopsy as well. tTG is specific for damage. A negative tTG indicates that damage is likely very minimal or that damage has not yet occurred. This is a good sign....meaning that if the girls...
