    YAY!! Yes, I'm sure Happygirl is gonna be really happy to have her hubby back full-time. My appt. isnt till 4:30....I'm gonna post and let you guys know how it went but it wont be until evening time. My mom's gonna go with me this time.

    I agree with Carla. Lyme disease is very often misdiagnosed as chronic fatigue syndrome or Fibro. Unfortunately Lyme testing is unreliable. Like Carla said...Igenix is well known to be the best and most reliable lab.

    I walked to the mailbox...no Igenix results. I'm sure my Dr. must have them....so I'll find out the results tomorrow anyway. I wonder why they didnt send them to me though.

    I dont blame you Laura. How frusterating. I'm not surprised though. I dont know if the Dr.'s just "forget" or if they sometimes just say things to appease us....especially if they feel we wont double check. I think sometimes they really have no intention of following through but just say what we want to hear. This same thing has happened to me...

    Yup....I agree with everyone. You had a very clear diagnosis....you had a positive biopsy. You also went on the diet and felt great. A 3 month challenge may have not been enough time to cause significant damage and the biopsy is a "hit or miss". They could easily miss damage. I dont understand why you need another firm diagnosis??     Yes, I think there is also a genetic component for sure. I will use Lyme as my example since its the bacteria I'm most familiar with. Lyme shows itself differently in each individual.     Yes, its true in many cases.....but not in EVERY case. I think there is still alot they dont know. Alot of people are misdiagnosed with MS, RA, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc....when they actually have Lyme Disease. Lyme is a bacteria and the symptoms can mimick any one of these conditions.....it manifests itself differently in each patient...

    Andrea....its ok...my mom just doesnt get it. She doesnt get how I could "smell" stuff long after its gone and if she cant smell it. Thats why she's going to my Dr. appt. on Monday....so she could ask the Dr. He knows all about chemical sensitivities so maybe she'll "get it" when the Dr. explains it. miamia...its like 21 pages of links...

    Laura, I dont think its normal to always have elevated liver enzymes. I've never heard that. My liver enzymes have always been normal....and my livers been tested numerous times over the past 4 years. I never fasted before the bloodwork.     Not really sure. All of my bloodwork was pretty normal. I had elevated liver enzymes only once...interestingly after I'd just been on 2 weeks of antibiotics (one of the ones used to treat Lyme). Hmmm...I wonder if that means anything.
