  1. I dont want to alarm you but thought I'd mention that something other than gluten could be causing malabsorption that extreme. Mine was 913 and I actually dont think I've ever seen anything higher until I just saw yours. My other numbers werent high either but both were in the positive range. I think my tTg was 17....I didnt think it corresponded well with...
  2. Linda, There was a store in my area that was all gluten free. It was amazing!! Unfortunately it recently closed down.
  3. I watched it with my mom and her hubby....I thought it would be longer but I thought it was very good regardless. I was hoping my moms hubby was paying attention because I think he might have Celiac. I was happy with the info they provided ...mostly the fact they pointed out that its common, that 95% arent diagnosed and that symptoms can vary. I think alot...
  4. Still premature posting.... Reading about nail polish and movies. I'm like Liz....a grown-up TOMBOY....I could never deal with nail polish...plus I was always biting my nails off anyway. All I have to say is thank Gaaaaawd I wasnt swallowing them! GROSS! I think I have enough problems already...balls of nails in my tummy....now that would really...
  5. Tinkyada!! Its the best....dont even bother with the rest. It tastes like normal pasta.
  6. Matilda...I think its like Mariann said. I dont think it matters if its formed or not....I do remember worrying about the same thing though. My malabsorption was in the 900's so pretty bad but I wasn't having "D" or anything like that. I think mine was kinda soft but no runny d.
  7. Hi girls....and Richard. I'm not 40ish...but will be soon enough. I have 19 pages to read up on but I wanna join in on some plain 'ol goofiness. Taking a break from scientificness....need some laughs. I think this is the place for that??? If Susan and Celia are here then it must be. This is very premature post as I have no idea whats being...
  8. Happy Birthday Ian!! Hope your somewhere having a great time!
  9. Hi everyone.... I'm still having alot of mixed emotions about my upcoming doctor appt...anxiety, excitement, a little fear, impatience...all that stuff. I've been feeling the ups and downs alot since my initial appt and waiting for the Lyme results. To be honest...some of the drama thats taken over this thread in recent days has added to my stress...
  10. As someone who has contributed endless hours of research to this thread....I kind of resent your statement. To YOU it may not be helpful but obviously to alot of others it has been. I generally dont hang out on threads that arent beneficial to me or that I'm not learning something from so I'm guessing that you must be getting something out of this thread...
  11. I had every test done that you've listed....plus a whole lot more. The most recent was the one for all types of viruses and bacterias that could possibly be taxing the immune system. The Lyme bug was actually included in that test and was negative but obviously Igenix is the more appropriate method of testing for that. I had tests for heavy metals as well...
  12. The point is that we have brainstormed here....put our heads together and worked through things to help one another. That wouldnt have happened had there been dozens of seperate threads. For example...there is a thread on mercury toxicity started by someone recently...its not even on the "active" pages anymore and barely has any posts on it. Its already pretty...
  13. Hi Laura, You do sound alot like me with all the sensitivities. Do you eat processed foods? For me eliminating particular foods like eggs or dairy or corn or even all of them at once never worked and I still felt bad. In my case it seems to be more related to chemicals. I dont eat processed food...except for organic ice cream which you will soon notice...
  14. I totally agree....would this even be the same place if we didnt get silly now and then?? Theres only so much I can say about mercury in one day and I think it might get a little depressing around here if all we talked about was the bad stuff.
  15. I dont know exactly whats wrong with the traditional testing for Lyme but it just doesnt seem to be very sensitive and misses alot of diagnoses. It seemed like on the Lyme board many people went years and years suffering with no diagnosis and negative test results (some even had the telltale bullseye at some point). It was only Igenix that correctly diagnosed...
  16. Thanks Vincent I hope I test positive too for the same reason. I dont know how long it would take to get better...it would depend on how bad I was poisened and how good my body is at detoxing. It could take a couple years though. I dont really care if it takes that long or even longer as long as I'm actively doing something to get better and its working...
  17. Susan...I was touched by your post. Its the same for me...I connected with people on this thread. I'd been on a few boards before this one and I'd been around on this board for quite some time before I started this particular thread. Nobody had ever really identified with my symptoms before....or if they had they didnt post about it....not until this thread...
  18. In some cases that might be true but for people like us who are very ill with numerous intolerances and symptoms the subject changes constantly as we work our way through a bunch of different issues. If we started a seperate thread for each thing discussed....there would be dozens of threads and alot of info. thats pertinent to the people on this thread would...
  19. Debbie, I dont know anything about this so I cant tell you anything useful but just wanted to say how sorry I am for all that you and Mike have had to deal with. Stay strong and I'll be keeping both of you in my prayers.
  20. Great post Julie and very well said. It echos my feelings exactly...this thread has gotten me through so much. I've learned more in the past 5 months than I ever thought possible and Julie....its people like you who have kept me motivated to keep pushing on. I think for people just popping in (depending on what page they may land on) it may appear...
  21. Yes...this is true...and fortunately I've had all metals removed 2 years back. In the case of an allergy to the metals I'm assuming the reaction would subside once the metal was removed. In the case of mercury toxicty from amalgams this wont happen unless the metals are chelated because it will be stored in the tissues. I dont think an allergy to metals that...
  22. There is actually a whole lot of evidence out there....scientific proof that amalgam fillings DO leak mercury and that it is extremely toxic. The ADA had denied this in the past but are now acknowledging that the fillings leak.....they do not acknowledge that it can poison us. Many people have regained their health with amalgam removal and chelation so the...
  23. Also I'm excited because I had a biocompatibilty test there back when he removed the last 2 amalgam fillings. I never actually got a copy of the results and I'll probably be needing them in the future. They could be helpful. I'd thought that since he'd retired I would not be able to get the records...he should still have them right?? Its been 2 years now...
  24. Donna, Thats great!! Is the same Dentist there?? Dr. Adams?? I got a letter in the mail last year announcing his retirement. Thats awesome if hes still there....he was REALLY nice and thorough and helpful in every way. He was actually more thorough with me then ANY doctor I'd seen up to that point. He was the first to tell me about my diet and...
  25. Donna, I've read that there's like 125 symptoms associated with mercury toxicity.....probably because it can affect virtually anything in the body. I've seen dizziness and low blood pressure on all the mercury symptom lists but those can be found on so many other lists as well....you know how that goes. Seems like EVERYTHING causes the same symptoms...
