ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
Rachel--24 replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I would assume that Dr. E. could use ASYRA to find out about these things?? Personally, I like to be tested with ART....but I'm pretty sure all of these things would be available with ASYRA testing. -

Its possible. However, its also possible for a person who has biotoxin related illness to ocassionally pass the test. So you *could* be borderline. Both Scott and Amy feel that heavy metals are not impacting the test too much...that its more related to the biotoxins...but it *can* happen that way as well. So a person can still be sick and pass... -

Thanks Liz! I agree that the body is AMAZING in its ability to heal itself.....if given the opportunity. Despite everything I have *always* felt like my body is still very strong and definately would bounce back fairly quickly if we can find the "glitches" in my system and correct them. I was less proactive in the first couple years....mainly... -

Based on symptoms and everything you've mentioned in previous threads I'd guess that you have Leaky Gut. I also get stiff neck/burning eyes....as far as I know those two symptoms are common with regards to toxicity. -

ARCHIVED Mercury Poses Health Risks...
Rachel--24 replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
If your mom had fillings you could have had high exposure in utero...also from breast milk (if mom had fillings). There's a long list of household items which contain mercury. I can try to find that and post it later. Also, environmental mercury....air, land and water...we're all exposed it. My Dr.'s say that everyone on this planet will have mercury in... -

I had a worsening of symptoms with castor oil packs which included some cramping and then "all over" pains (especially the next day). All my joints got stiff, muscles sore...stuff like that. I cant do them because of the salicylates. So I guess with that treatment I was allowing salicylates to go straight to my liver... Well some of the ingredients... -

I'm sure that it could if your practitioner has the testers for that. When I discussed the phenol issue with Dr. A. at my last visit with her she was very excited to see if she could confirm what I was saying with ART. When she comes to my area she sees patients at the clinic where I used to go for BioSET. So she had access to all of the bioSET panels... -
ARCHIVED Mercury Poses Health Risks...
Rachel--24 replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Krista, I would think there would be less risk involved since I'm assuming there is no drilling of the amalgam going on?? I really dont know the answer to that question but I think the best way to find out for sure would be to call a few different biological dentists to get their opinion. The reason I say to ask "a few" is because I always think its... -
ARCHIVED Mercury Poses Health Risks...
Rachel--24 replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
No....I worded it correctly. The ADA has acknowledged (for some time now) that the fillings leak. They just dont acknowledge that is can be harmful. They've already admitted that the fillings leak...that is not anything new. Its only *new* that the FDA is now stating that mercury is a neurotoxin and that exposure from amalgams can cause health problems... -
ARCHIVED Celiac Testing

Unfortunately, there is no specific test to determine that directly. You can read this page to kind of get an idea about the sulfation pathway...which is where I seem to be having most of my problems. Open Original Shared Link These answers did not come easy for me at all. I went through a LONG period of time trying various diets and trying to determine... -

I actually responded to a post very similar to yours this morning...so I'll just "cheat" and re-post my response here. To add to that my understanding is that changes in the porphyrins dont actully occur rapidly....so it does take time for them to "normalize" even after you've successfully chelated mercury. If mercury truelly is a problem... -

Yes...you would really have to avoid these things. Sulfur is naturally occuring in garlic, onions, eggs and all of those foods which are on the list. Sulfites are even more problematic because they are a chemical. Sulfites are a preservative and if you're body cant tolerate them they will build up quickly. MOST processed foods contain sulfites (even if... -

I agree that the tests have alot of room for improvement. As far as drawing conclusions....I have to agree thare as well...and I think that 1 out of 3 having Celiac is really stretching things since we know *for sure* that this is an autoimmune disease which requires a genetic predisposition AND a trigger. I dont think it would be wise for us to link all... -

Liz, good news about the hair tests! Reactions to salicylates occur when the "load" becomes too high. Salicylates are a natuarally occuring "pesticide" to keep plants, fruits, veggies, etc from being harmed by pests. They are actually toxic but fortunately we are equipped with an enzyme which metabolises them and they are eliminated before they could... -

I was actually going to mention this article to you with regards to your question about *why* the gates would remain open....but I see that you found it already. Yes, I agree that there are some imbalances caused by metals or other factors which are playing a role in this. Mineral transport is affected by mercury and other metals (but mercury especially... -

ARCHIVED Mercury Poses Health Risks...
Rachel--24 replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
This is true...and that mercury which has been absorbed actually remains where it is for a VERY long time. Mercury is abosorbed very easily...its readily taken up into the CNS and into cells....however, it does not leave quite so easily. Removing the fillings is only the first step when trying to rid the body of mercury which may be causing health problems... -

Expired!! Sheeesh....I dont think I'd ever even notice if my test kit was expired. I never looked at any of my kits....All I can say is I sure hope my porphyrin test kit wasnt expired! I would call Dr. H. and let him know about the D. Sherry, thanks for the link. Yeah....I looked into the test (as much as I could find anyway... -

She's looking at late July. She's trying to work some things out first and is hoping to be able to come late July. She doesnt know yet so its definately possible you'll be on your feet by the time she comes. Andrea, I only had two amalgams when I had it done the right way and so they were just done in the same visit and he didnt explain to me... -

Yup...I'm majorly stressed about the porphyrin results. Amy's right though....either way we're going to know for sure if we need to pursue mercury or not. I'm looking forward to the OAT...it should tell us alot more about whats going on in my gut. Thats something I've always felt needed more attention. Even if mercury is an issue its still better to clear... -

Ya think?? Hmmm...*if* they actually allow me in the building to pick up a sample I think I'll bring them the recent article regarding FDA/amalgams. On second thought...I'll bring a whole stack of them. Anyways....I seriously doubt they're gonna accomadate me on this one. -
