  1. I agree. Also, potatoes are often treated with sulfites (not fresh potatoes). A person who is sensitive can react to sulfites in the way that you described. If you try a plain fresh baked potato at home then you can figure out if it was the potato or something else.
  2. OMG....who was it that told you the results were negative? Are those your results on the first page (main)?? It shows the IgA is at 26....which would be positive. Anything under 20 is neg. Then you're IgG is really high at 101. If those are your numbers then they are both positive....there is an "H" right there next to the results...which...
  3. After I got sick I had some odd behaviors as well...it was all stuff which was totally out of character for me. I didnt have any problems until I was 31 so when everything started happening I was very aware that I wasnt acting "normal". I had the same problems with rages...even the tiniest thing set me off and it would be a HUGE ordeal. I'd usually end up...
  4. Ali, these are the proper tests: Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA Total Serum IgA Total serum IgA is checked to make sure that you are not IgA deficient. You want to make sure that your IgA and IgG tests were for anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA).
  5. I definately dont think you should rule out the mercury unless of course all of your symptoms go away. But its also really important to deal with the mold in the house and then at least you'll know you've done what you can about that and you can move onto the next thing if necessary. It would probably be a good idea to avoid all the moldy foods...dried...
  6. I was curious about the food eliminations too. I wonder how they determine that with the hair analysis? I think the counting rules can be helpful...but its not a perfect science. I would like to do a Doctors Data hair analysis but I'm not wanting to cut my hair for it! I have to figure something out as far as that goes. The only hair analysis...
  7. It might be a "sensory" issue with your dad's arm...not really sure though. There is alot of info. about sensory problems...but mostly with regards to autism. I know that when I was at my worst (a few years ago) certain things bothered me...like a fuzzy sweater or other "scratchy" type materials. It was uncomfortable and could even be painful. A tag on a...
  8. Peptizyde is the one not recommended for those with Celiac....I'm not sure about any of the other enzymes. The reason is that some parents noticed that their child got worse when combining gluten and Peptizyde. When those kids were tested they actually had Celiac. Based on that...it appeared that Peptizyde might worsen a Celiac's reaction to gluten. If...
  9. Usually its only moderators who have the capability of viewing this and who are able to issue a warning. As Lisa stated Scott was tweaking the board and possibly this feature needs to be reset. Ravenwoodglass, a 0% simply means that you have never been issued a warning. Also, people are not issued warnings unless they violate one of the board...
  10. Carla....YAY! So when is your first ART session? There's someone in my area who's been talking to the Dr. in Germany and may buy the machine. I'm hoping that soon people will be able to use it and provide some feedback.
  11. Paula, I agree with the voice in your head. One thing at a time. Everything always seem overwhelming at first but at least you're getting somewhere by having these results. You have some timgs to look into now. I love it that your hubby is so supportive. I think you should listen to him when he says everything will be ok. It will....dont worry.
  12. Its not a pipe dream! There IS a test like this and it has saved me alot of time, money and suffering. Its an alternative method of testing called "Autonomic Response Testing" (ART). I was set up for this type of testing since so many different things were showing up for me and my Dr.'s didnt really know where to start treatment...not really knowing...
  13. Actually no....lots of things can damage the mucosal lining. When the mucosal lining is damaged it can result in increased permeability....therefore anything that can cause leaky gut is capable of damaging the mucosal lining. Yeast are probably the most common culprit in leaky gut but other pathogens can do the same. The list of things which can cause or...
  14. Kassandra, Craziness with the Vanco redness heinosity...and then having to be awake through the procedure! Yikes! Oh well...sounds like it could have been worse....glad its done and over with and that you're ok.
  15. Paula, looking forward to seeing your results...hopefully you can copy them over.
  16. This ia all really great news! I'm excited for you. When will you be moving? Sounds like they do it all there...so you should be in good hands. Hopefully you'll be getting some answers to all of these neuro. symptoms you've been dealing with. I hope you dont have to wait too long. They will be able to figure out what types of things...
  17. Yes...you can be too alkaline or too acidic...either way is not good. Everytime I ever tested my pH it was too alkaline (even though my diet was mostly acidic). Too alkaline can also mean that you're too acidic and that your body is dumping amonia to make up for it. Its confusing and not straight forward. Certain infections can cause too much amonia which...
  18. Believe it or not when my whole body was falling apart all of my bloodwork was perfect. I felt like I was dying and every part of my body seemed affected....I'd lost 25 lbs. and yet NOTHING showed up in any test in over 3 years. That was one of the most frusterating experiences of my life. I had my blood drawn more in 3 years than most people would...
  19. We actually don't know whether or not you have Celiac since you werent ever tested and you have the half gene that some diagnosed Celiacs have. When I'm referring to non-Celiac I'm mostly referring to those who do not carry any of the genetic markers linked to Celiac and who actually dont test positive for the disease. Alot of people forgo any type...
  20. Enterolab states that the antibody number does not indicate severity of damage. They say a positive is a positive....whether your number is 11 or 300. A higher number doesnt mean "more damage"....according to Enterolab. Your daughter could very well have more damage though...even at her age. If you were to ask my doctors this question "How did her gut...
  21. So I found out more about the VCS. Scott contacted someone he knows and apparantly heavy metals and solvents can cause VCS deficits. The test is for neurotoxins and biotoxins are one subset. If the deficits are caused by heavy metals they cant be treated using the protocol which is specifically for biotoxins. Dont know how much the metals might be having...
  22. The enzymes come in capsule, scoopable powder or chewables. I think the chewable had added ingredients so it might be best to use the powder. You can also just break open the capsules and sprinkle the powder....which is what I do. Heres some info on the dosage.
  23. I actually like cilantro. I wouldnt say that I LOVE it...and I wouldnt say that I crave it either. I could take it or leave it. It doesnt matter to me either way. I just dont eat it because it supposedly crosses the blood brain barrier and mobilizes mercury in the brain. Now ICE CREAM...thats a whole 'nother story.
  24. I dont know about that. I agree that gluten can cause some serious problems for all of the reasons I posted previously but without a genetic predisposition your condition wont someday suddenly "turn into" Celiac Disease. There is no evidence to support this. I agree that you will die from something else before you ever develop the villi damage!! I totally...
